"Eventually, a young lady approached me and apologized, saying my order had never been placed but that she would take care of it right then. It took 54 minutes for anyone to acknowledge my presence, and by that time, I hadn’t even received water. I decided to tell her that I would not be placing an order and requested to speak with the manager. After waiting some more and going inside to ask for the manager again, nobody came out, so I ended up leaving. This has to be the worst service I've ever experienced. It’s 2023, and such ignorance and neglect should have been left in the past, yet here it is, alive and well in Aventura, South Florida. I was the only Black person in the restaurant at the time, and I felt completely ignored and unserved. While I do appreciate the young lady who tried to help me at the very end, I couldn’t shake off the feeling of being disregarded for so long. After 54 minutes of waiting, I simply didn’t feel comfortable eating there anymore. That’s how my Saturday morning went."

"Was really looking forward to Mothers Day brunch with my children and friends. It was a quaint place, but that is where the pleasant experience ended. They seated us immediately then someone took our drink order and said you better hurry to the buffet it’s going to be crowded. No menu handed to us for pricing on anything. The breakfast portion of the buffet was horrible. The Eggs Benedict was cold and hard, no taste at all. The French Toast sticks looked and tasted like they came out of an eggos frozen food box. The omelette station was a mess. The cook there had really no idea what she was doing. The dessert table looked like it was all prepackaged desserts that had been taken out of the box and put on plates. The kids said the chocolate chip cookies tasted like chips ahoy. Honestly never seen anything like it in my life. To top things off they handed us the wrong bill then replaced it with one $100 more. Don’t go here!! Absolutely awful."

"First time trying escargot, AND IT WAS AMAZING! My sister suggested we have lunch here since we grew up in the area and needed a low key girls day. Bistro Eloise is such a pleasant surprise in Queens. The staff is amazing, super polite, funny and justoverall helpful. They also very Covid safe with masks, hand sanitizer at each table and the entrance, as well as both indoorand door dining. We ordered the escargot, tuna tartar, croquette monsieur and crème brûlée for desert. Of course I hadmyself a ton of margaritas and the cappuccino. It’s an easy walk from 74th street Roosevelt or from Astoria Blvd. I walkedfrom Astoria on the beautiful Saturday and it was great."

"This is a nice restaurant. It seems to be a popular spot as it was pretty crowded. It's on the pricey side for sure though. The menu had a variety of selections like salmon and stews. I ordered the salad with the goat cheese. I thought that was pretty good. I also ordered the lamb stew as the main course I thought it was just ok. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. The meat wasn't nearly as tender as it could've been. The taste wasn't as bold either. I wouldn't go out of my way to return to this establishment, but I wouldn't be opposed either."

"My group walked in to grab dinner before going to the orchestra. The restaurant was almost entirely full, and it sounded like it had a long reservation list. The hostess asked if we?d be willing to sit at the bar with all the tables being taken, we didn?t mind. It wasn?t a long wait from there, and it wasn?t super loud. My companions? shared the bass, and I got the steak and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were super smooth, and the steak was so easy to cut. I got the ?Raspberry Beret? to drink, it wasn?t super strong, sweet, or sour. My companion liked the red wine they had, and thought the bass was a bit salty. I saw the waitresses writing anniversary and birthday cards (presumably for guests) next to us at the counter. They seem to be up for celebration acknowledgments. The bartender served us complimentary Vermouth shots after dinner. They were spiced, yet tasteful. Overall, a nice and accommodating restaurant with a hefty price tag."

"Wonderful meal with Benoit. Staff is lovely and the food is delicious. Started with oysters and I had the grilled lobster for my main, which was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious. "Having passed the restaurant numerous times, I was looking forward to trying it. Although, Yelp has the restaurant rated at 3 stars, I thought it might be a fluke because Open Table has it rated at almost 5. Thus, we decided to go. I was highly disappointed. I ordered the Nicoise Salad which comes with tuna. My friend ordered the same but requested and got salmon. I was shocked that a $25 salad had tuna out of a can. At least my friend got pieces of salmon and not canned. Since the salads on the menu appeared to have fresh ingredients, there was no reason not to expect a piece of fresh tuna. Next time we will go to Nordstrom in the mall. Their Niçoise salad is so superior. The server was average and she didn’t acknowledge the birthday we were celebrating which was on the reservation. I’m not sure who rated this restaurant on Open Table, but they had a total opposite experience then we did."

"We were late for our reservation, but Chuck's kindly held the table for us. Tableside Caesar salad was amazing. Our mains were bit of a wait, but before we could complain, our server apologized and they appeared shortly after. Amazing food and portions were well suited. Our steaks were perfectly done! Due to the small delay in our mains, manager sent over a sinful skor Sundae that although we were much too full for, we devoured. Excellent service and kudos to management for staying on top of service."

"I went with a group for a birthday. It was the worst service any of us had ever experienced. Our waiter only took a couple of drink orders and then left for more than 20 minutes before we checked in to take the rest of the table order. For the food we had to tell him that we had to order. Then he took 4 orders, went away and didn't come back. When we got him to come back after telling several other workers we needed to complete the order, he forgot that he had taken the first orders. He finally took a few more orders and went, again not to every person at the table. It took 2 hours in total and the food came out at all different times. We were all honestly very confused about what was happening throughout our dinner."

"The service was great we had a most enjoyable time learning from and about the students, the instructor, and the school. The food was good and the environment was very nice. Even the dessert that I ordered but was told that 'the chef did not want to serve ' because it wasn 't perfect and they let me taste anyway was really good (maybe even the tastiest thing I had! . "My family has been dining at Pine Tavern for many years. On our most recent visit, we sat on the patio and enjoyed the perfect temperature with a gentle breeze. We were a group of six people. Unfortunately, the Rueben sandwich was quite dry, lacking in 1,000 Island dressing. Additionally, one member of our party ordered ginger ale and was surprised to find out that refills were not complimentary and was charged for a second drink. We all agreed that the server should have clarified that this was a beverage from the bar and not included in the free refills. Despite these mishaps, we still had a lovely time together."

"This is a new arrival, or at least an incarnation of an old arrival in NoLITa. The menu is French and Algerian, with a bit more emphasis on French. The decor is agreeable (tile floors, leather banquettes, oodles of mirrors), the service was superb, and there are pleasers on the menu whether you're more pleased by couscous or steak frites. I keep trying to think of something to kvetch about, but the only thing I can think of was that I was asked a little too often if I was pleased by whatever landed on my table. "I visited this restaurant to try their Dine About Town menu, but when I arrived, I found that at least one option from each course was unavailable. I was quite disappointed to see so many items missing. Although they offered alternatives from the regular menu, some of those options didn’t sound as appealing. The Dine About Town menu includes three courses: appetizer, entree, and dessert. The meal began on a positive note with a solid appetizer. However, my entree fell flat in terms of flavor. The dessert was a delightful save—it was rich and warm with chocolate. I would consider giving this place another chance, especially since they recently changed chefs, which might bring about a new menu. It also seems like a great spot to visit during the day, as there are windows all around, making it perfect for people-watching on the bustling Fillmore Street."

"Unacceptable! One of the worst NYC dining experience of my life. Please do me a favor and never go there. This establishment does not deserve to be serving food to anyone and should be closed. A friend from Hawaii was in town for a few days and I was tasked with finding a restaurant. Being a French food lover, I did some research on new upcoming French restaurants and stumbled on the NYT article from Spring 2017 called Harlem’s French Renaissance where Cheri was features with great reviews. All the reviews online – both on Google and Opentable for Cheri were positive and I was extremely excited to try it out. Something must have happened to the owner/chef/management I the experience I had on Tuesday was nothing like the reviews. However, we were let done from the moment we got there: 1.Welcome – Staff was unwelcoming, cold and not smiling. Not checking on us. 2.Empty – the restaurant was nearly empty on a Tuesday night for dinner. It should have been a red flag from the get go. 3.Food – nothing positive to say here. We first ordered appetizers – the burrata, which was bland, the duck pate and the chicken pate. The patés tasted like dog food and I couldn’t force myself to eat it. For the main dishes, I ordered the Tartare was which uneatable, with way too much pine nuts in the mix, way too oily and the potatoes were soaked in oil. As for the salad, it had no dressing and it not taste fresh. I felt my plate half full and felt sick. 4.Price – Not only was the food terrible, but the prices were high. I felt robbed. All around, this was a miserable experience. This restaurant should be shut down."

"While this place may not be the be all end all of French restaurants in DC, it will give you the experience. Vintage wine posters? Check. Escargots? Check. Baguette? You bet! Get some snails with moule frites or coq au vin and finish it off with a digestif and crème brulee. My particular favorite here is the steak tartare. The service is great even for the very tiny space the restaurant occupies. The prices won't guillotine your wallet either."
