"My husband and I visited Cross Plains for the first time since moving to Madison 5 years ago. We stumbled across Nineteen09 and thought the building looked so beautiful so we had to go in and check it out. We were thrilled to discover it's a wine bar! The building itself is gorgeous! It's a beautiful stone building surrounded by flowers, lanterns, and a beautiful patio. The patio was really impressive, it had a stone fireplace, sturdy outdoor furniture, string lights, and my favorite feature- Bluetooth umbrellas to play your own music!!! We loved this feature, it made us feel like we were at home, drinking wine on our own patio. Unfortunately, we don't have a patio but we plan to fully utilize this one and pretend it's our own. : The are a self serve wine bar so you can get a card from the bar and pour your own wine so it of their machines. They have about 3 machines of wine to choose from. They had lots of reds, whites, and roses to choose from. Their bar also had canned cocktails, whiskey, and other liquor to choose from. They serve charcuterie boards for food and they looked fantastic. We will definitely try one out next time! We will definitely be back! Do yourself a favor and check out this hidden gem if you haven't already."
