"To start I made a reservation and it was not fulfilled when I arrived. We had to wait an additional mins to be seat. Which i didn't understand making a reservation if you weren't gonna have it ready for me. Service was slow and seemed understaffed. The turn around from order to table was fairly quick. Quicker than the second half of our table receiving water. My cousins recommends the grits but her portion of shrimp grits was small for I had Chicken French Toast. When it came out it looked amazing. Graham cracker crusted French toast icing drizzle and a fried boneless chicken piece, that I thought was a flattened boneless breast but no it was a boneless thigh and I was not happy with that. If the menu would've stated a description of food offered I wouldn't have ordered that particular dish. So further on to the reservation. When making a reservation online you have to put down a deposit that goes towards your check. That didn't happen either. It was nice atmosphere and the DJ playing was a cool addition to brunch. Just thought if your establishment closes at and I arrive at for my reservation on time, get seated at and have hour for people to enjoy a birthday brunch. We felt rushed after having to wait to be seated. We had people leave that was waiting with us because of time. I may try and come back. I'm just not going to make a reservation. Imma walk in."

"Highly recommend Sweet Peaz Southern Kitchen! The food is served fresh and hot. We were a party of eight and ordered Fried Whiting with Yams and Mac n Cheese, Chicken and Waffles, Fried Chicken Wings, Chicken Tenders, Fried Shrimp, French Fries, and Collard Greens. The Sweet Potato Waffles were absolutely delicious! The fried chicken, shrimp, and fish were cooked perfectly and tasted as good as they looked. The seasoning was just right—not too salty, allowing the flavors to shine. The yams and collards were a real treat for the taste buds. And the cornbread? Simply amazing. My only disappointment was that the first taste was free (haha). The Mac n Cheese was decent, but the Chicken Tenders didn’t quite live up to their name; however, they did remake them for us to take home. The space is small and simple, with old-school music that adds to the enjoyable dining experience. They limit dining to one hour to ensure everyone can enjoy the food, which I appreciate—I dislike when people linger for too long when others are waiting. The staff were friendly, making us feel valued and appreciated. Prices are reasonable. One downside was that many items were unavailable, including grits—which was a big letdown since I was looking forward to the famous Shrimp and Grits—as well as butter, potato salad, seafood salad, and tartar sauce. I recommend calling ahead if you’re craving a specific dish. Despite this, it was a great dining choice and lived up to the positive reviews. Overall, we left satisfied and would gladly return. Parking is street parking only, as there’s no dedicated lot."
