"First and foremost, I love supporting black owned businesses. And I wish you great success. I chose this restaurant for that very reason. I just wished my experience was more delightful. Upon entering, we were greeted by a gentleman with a very warm welcome. He was very courteous and personable until we were seated. However, once being seated.... The first waitress seemed to be overwhelmed very unfriendly. She attempted to take our drink orders but had to step away as she was attending to a bigger party right across from us. She stated, ‘I’m preoccupied with this large party right here but I will send someone to take your order..’ After waiting minutes for a now a waitress, who was more attentive than the first, we were now told it’s a brunch event being held all night. We made reservations and it never once said anything about a special brunch night. More importantly, we were coming for to have a birthday dinner. But nevertheless, we stayed and made the best of it. With not many dinner options available on the brunch menu, of us had to settle for the oxtail. person substituted the fried coconut rice for peas and the reason was Due to TSL running out of the fried rice that’s paired with the oxtail on the menu. So one meal was then changed to something different instead, yet we were charged for oxtail anyway. This process took an additional minutes. It was a beautiful establishment but not such a beautiful experience. We all felt disregarded just because we were a small table of people there was a party of about people across from us. We watched them be attended to consistently while we were continuously overlooked."

I had a great time celebrating my wife’s birthday and the owner came out and introduced himself and asked us if we needed anything. I will definitely go back there.

I passed this place so many times and never noticed it, but I’m glad I finally did. Food was great, service was good, and I really enjoyed the live music. I will definitely be returning in the near future. View menu

I think the slope lounge has a lot of potential to be amazing l. The venue is super cute and the service is great. The only issue I had was portion size. Imma need a little more food on my plate for what I’m being charged. Outside of that it was a good experience and I may return

This was my first visit to the newly opened TSL. The food was quite delicious. I had the short ribs entree with the combo appetizer platter. My friends and I had the place to ourselves (probably because it was a Monday) and were able to have good conversation. I'd definitely try TSL again...

New Carribean restaurant to the area. It was our first time, great food and pleasant, professional staff. Loved the decor. Plan on going back on a night with activities. They have a pretty big stage for performances and the owner shared that on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Friday's they have shows (band, open mic, comedy). View menu

I really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant and the owner, Amare was very accommodating to my large dinner party. However, two of my guest had to wait over min for their appetizers, after which one of the appetizers never came. The food was really good but the service was too slow. Perhaps, they need more wait staff or more cooks, I'm not sure but I am willing to give it another chance.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a Caribbean restaurant in the park slope area and went online to search and The Slope Lounge restaurant came up. We both never heard of it but decided to take a chance and I’m so glad we did . First impression was the ambulance and decor . It was such a chill vibe and perfect for a date night. It wasn’t too busy so it was not loud at all , which is great so my boyfriend and I could speak and hear each other . My boyfriend loved the open kitchen . It’s something I’ve never seen before and that stood out to both of us as it made us feel like our food was made fresh. Speaking of food, it was amazing . I had the chicken waffles and I think it’s one o...

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
