"I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. I was on my way to enjoy Sunday brunch at Tommy Nevin’s, a place we hadn't visited in almost ten years, only to discover it had closed. While walking back to my car, I spotted this place and decided to give it a try, despite its unremarkable exterior. I’m glad I did! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making it a very family-friendly atmosphere. The food we ordered was fantastic! I had the crab cakes, which were the best I’ve had outside of San Francisco, and my wife enjoyed the fresh smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and a bagel. We will definitely return and bring friends with us next time!"

"Husband and I went here before checking out a movie one night after work. For an appetizer, we split the spinach and artichoke dip; it was very good, and I believe they used mozzarella cheese, which I'm not used to eating in spinach and artichoke dip. For my main course, I had the roasted chicken BLT with chipotle aioli, and french fries. The sandwich comes with red onions, which I had omitted but did add extra chipotle aioli. It was delicious. My husband ate the FiDi burger, which was a patty with onion rings, bacon jam and peppet jack, with french fries. He said it was delicious. We didn't have dessert. The bill, for the both of us and including a beer for my husband, came out to $54 and some change which I found very reasonable for the area, and for the amount of food that we had gotten. However, if I were to come back, it would not be on a Friday. It was happy hour, and the crowd was incredibly loud. It was also very humid out that day, and just as humid inside. Like it took me absolutely forever to cool off. The AC is something they may wanna work on..."

"Food was here is delicious! The pizzas are so flavorful. Large menu variety as well so everyone at your table will find something they like on the menu! Unfortunately, we did have one big issue which I have to point out and take a stars for Igot the Limoncello cocktail during my brunch. Twice actually! It was really good the first time. The second time my cocktailcame, it was delivered with the glass rim SO scorching hot so much to the point that I BURNED my lip. Apparently the bar torchesthe glass rim to create a sugar crust,... but you really need to warn your customers. My waiters brilliant response to myproblem was ?you should turn the glass!? This was quite possibly the worst thing the waiter could have said are you kiddingme? Don?t insult my intelligence. Oh and after a $450+ dinner bill, the waiter couldn?t even be bothered to APOLOGIZE or takeoff that one cocktail. Despite the good food, service here is just OKAY. Id prefer to keep the lip burn photos to myself andnot post it, so please do enjoy the food/cocktail photo"

"I’ve been to max Londons many times. And it’s always been amazing. This time was really subpar. Waitress was not very accommodating and was neglectful. We had a reservation and there were other empty seats but we got a wobbly table near the kitchen. When asked if we could switch she just said no. She didn’t seem to know the menu or drinks. I had to ask three times for her to remember to bring us bread."

"We loved this place! I have nothing but great things to say about our experience. Unfortunately we went on a rainy night, so we couldn't sit on their beautiful patio. There was a 3 piece band playing in the bar area. They were playing James Taylor kind of music and were really good. We sat in the main dining room but could hear them at a great volume during our entire meal. We had some wonderful salads to start. I had salmon for an entree and it was so good. The hash it came served on was full of great vegetables. At our table we also had lettuce wraps, fried oysters, and a Caesar salad modified with a huge amount of grilled chicken. They had an extensive wine list. The dining room had a warm vibe to it, which we loved. Our server Betsy was super friendly and attentive. I'd definitely recommend going!"

"This is my 'work lunch ' treat to myself. They have really good sandwiches, and huge portions. The full sized BLT or whatever they call it is large enough that you can eat half at lunch and take the other half home. I do sometimes feel that they aren 't paying attention to their orders. I one time ordered a sandwich with a substitution. It came out wrong and the waiter said something to the likes of , oh sorry I just had 12 rubens come out, didn 't mean to get one of them wrong."

"Horrible experience I was brought the incorrect burger. My French fries were refried, old and greasy. t”The chicken and waffles had burnt chicken and the waffle was over done. The stir fry was so salty it was inedible. They were also out of milk for milk shakes and hot chocolate. We will never be back. I hope you heed this warning before you consider going here."

"I went here for my birthday brunch and was really excited for the date. However, it took a very long time for my table to be served. The waiter was super kind, he was just a bit neglectful, maybe because it was understaffed? I'm not sure. But it just seemed like it was he would only come back to us every So we got our mimosas, he made sure they were filled regularly, but there's only so long that we can survive off of liquor before you start to get graggy from hunger. Overall, I'm pretty sure we were there for an hour before we got our food and that really declined the overall experience. Now, was the food good when it finally came? ABSOLUTELY. And the overall ambiance was really beautiful. And the portions were great. But man, that wait was a killer. I'll go back tho, just hope the service improved"

"The food was very good and the service was also good. You don't have a good design of beer selection, although it's quite disappointed. The menu seems too expensive, but if you go between 3:00 and 6:00, everything is halfway away... everything. Things that I had, which were good, belong to the bacon, which are like 1/2 thick, frits (which come on a massive baking sheet), shells (that is an appetizer, but a Entree size), shrimps Cobb Salat (that was huge and fantastic), the Diner Burger (that is one of the best burgers I ever had) and shrimp tacos (which was sad on a special menu). We had the brussel sprouts appetizer recommended us as the house Favorit and I 't care for them they were unarabley salty and targeted overdone... but too much so."

"I loathe having to look at a QR menu on my phone. That is all they offer no real menus. Food was nothing more than what an ok diner offers. I paid roughly $30 for a grilled cheese and tomato soup. The first one was cold, the person in the next table said his was too. I loved the grilled cheese but how can you mess that up? My daughters fancy drink was $50 and she just walked away with a sugary tummy ache. Our waiter was super sweet. The girl at the front was not as friendly as you would expect for a place like this but she didn't ruin our experience either, just blah all the way around."

"The food at this restaurant was delicious and the service provided by Anthony was exceptional. However, I was surprised when I received my bill totaling nearly $300 and noticed additional charges for the premium martini that my wife had ordered. She had requested her dirty martini to be made extra dirty, resulting in a $0.25 upcharge, as well as a $0.50 upcharge for bleu cheese olives. While the prices for items on the menu were already high, I was taken aback that they would charge extra for ingredients that are typically included in the drink at other establishments, and then list them separately on the bill. It would have been more reasonable to simply list the martini as $19 rather than $18 and add the additional charges. Unfortunately, I do not plan on returning to this restaurant in the future."

"Have you ever entered a restaurant and found it eerily quiet, with no sign of the hostess or bartender? That was the experience here. Once the staff showed up, they were friendly enough. The food was decent—neither bad nor exceptional. However, it felt a bit pricey for the level of service provided. On the bright side, the beer was cold, which was a definite plus. If you're traveling solo and just need a meal without venturing too far, this place will suffice. But if you're looking for more than that, you might want to consider other options."

"We were so lucky that we had our wedding in this place! It was a beautiful, unique venue for our special day, in our favorite neighborhood. The place was very spacious and enchanting. Our cocktail hour was inside at the bar area, followed by an elegant outdoor reception under a tent with lights. It was a very trendy place to have our wedding, and for a decent price compared with other venues in the area. Roseann went out of her way to plan for our every need. We are very grateful to her, for making our special day so memorable. The cocktails and hors d’oeuvres were tasty and classy. We even had the house wings! The dinner serve- out was really delicious; the desert outstanding. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Our summer wedding was so beautiful and we even had karaoke with popcorn machines for a late night after party. There is also the option of their own valet service. The Katch family made sure we had an incredible day we will never forget. We are so thankful, and highly recommend this as a hidden gem for local wedding affairs in our lovely Astoria, as it is close to mass transit and convenient. Thank you so much for everything. "food and service were fantastic. Unfortunately, if they have a party of 2, they sit them so close that they have zero private sphere. they sit parties of 2 along the outside of the room, where the tables are no more than 18” apart. every word spoken by the couples on both sides is not to ignore. the facility is like no other restaurant I've ever had. it is literally as if they would force you to sit with strangers and hear every word of their conversations."

"Dined here for the first time tonight and I must say I am very disappointed. The service was terrible. We arrived close to 6:30pm, the restaurant closes at 8pm. Our server was very inattentive and when he did interact with us it was extremely rushed. We were left unattended for most of the evening. We both stated it was our first time here, he offered no recommendations or suggestions. The food itself was ok. Do not know if we will be back. Service: Dine in"

"Came here to celebrate and anniversary based on a recommendation and so happy we listened. We came for a Sunday early dinner and the place was empty at the time for the most part. We were quickly seated and decided sit outside. The seats were a little uncomfortable as they leaned back but we had a nice view of the Roselyn pond I think. We opted to try the fried Brussels artichokes which just a heads up, are not breaded then fried, they are simply fried and covered with a citrus time of drizzle. I was very thrown off however very pleasantly surprised at they were quite tasty with the drizzle adding a great flavor that was not over powering. My partner opted for the bed short rib and myself being basic I got the cheeseburger, medium rare. The food came out quickly and was fantastic. The short rib was braised just right, super tender and came apart right off the bone. The mashed potatoes had a great flavor that paired well with the gravy. The burger was cooked just right however, I do not love pork belly as I am not a huge fan of too much fat so I got that on the side and had a few bites. The only downside was our server only came back once and never got a drink refill. Other than that everything was perfect, from the food to the view. Definitely recommend and will be back."

"My family of seven made reservations for 12/1/2024 looking forward to going to this restaurant on New Year’s Day. We planned the day celebrating around our reservations as we have looked forward to dining here for a very long time. What brought us to the restaurant was the videos of a fun atmosphere with dancing, music and great food. We did see several poor reviews for this location but hoped they had corrected the issues that were complained about. When we arrive we waited a very long time for the hostess to seat us (it appeared to have two hosts staffed at the time). As we walked to our table I noticed several of the guests packed in together back to back at the tables and several had not been served drinks (several sections were empty, so I did not understand at first why we were all stacked in one section). We also walked past the bar and noticed several cleaning sprays, cleaning bottles and dirty rags placed all over the bar next to dirty dishes and drinks waiting to be served. Also, along the back of wall several of the TV’s were not working and the floor was dirty. We sat at the table for 15/20 minutes before we were handed water (of which all but one of my party was given water). My daughter did not get water nor was asked. I turned to the table behind me and asked if they had been given the opportunity to give a drink order (as they had been sat several minutes before us) and with frustration they said no. We waited an additional 10 minutes and I walked up to the hostess and asked if they only had one server working at lunch time on New Year’s Day. She responded with “yes, sorry”. After sitting for total of 30 minutes we decided to leave and walk across the street and eat at Dicks Last Resort. We only were served 6 out of 7 glasses of water and had no conversations with the server except thanking him for a glass of water. No one checked on the table, asked why we were leaving, tried to help, offered to take our order, offered wate"

"Exceptional food in an authentic, non-demanding environment. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful, which added to the great experience. For bread lovers, there are 3 different breads, all of which are made there and are all wonderful. I stop on the way out of town to pick up bread and take it home to friends. My salad was fabulous and the vodka chicken pasta (a specialty) was cooked perfectly with a wonderful sauce. The specials change with the seasons. Desserts are all made there and everyone looked great. We share the ice cream on Sunday with homemade caramelized marshmallows and chocolate ganache. It was wonderful. You can share it with 4 people as it is very large. We will definitely have dinner here again when we return to Mayo and Golf."

"Was here last night for the Bears game. 15 of us. I never write reviews. But this place deserves one. The staff was so accommodating on a busy night. Service was beyond great. Bartenders were so attentive! Food was excellent this was my firstvisit here. The owner took the time to show the private room they have. It is awesome. We hope to book a meeting here nextmonth.
