"This is my 'work lunch ' treat to myself. They have really good sandwiches, and huge portions. The full sized BLT or whatever they call it is large enough that you can eat half at lunch and take the other half home. I do sometimes feel that they aren 't paying attention to their orders. I one time ordered a sandwich with a substitution. It came out wrong and the waiter said something to the likes of , oh sorry I just had 12 rubens come out, didn 't mean to get one of them wrong."

The owners are wonderful, but they really need to make an effort to coach their servers and bartenders to be pleasant and know that tips and the service

Meh. Just visited Austin and this was my least favorite meal. To sum it up: the inside smelled like mold or wet shoes, luckily we are outside. The server

I work at Zax and eat there frequently. The food is always good and consistent. It's a great spot for lunch, although parking can be a bit challenging at times. I usually walk over the bridge from my downtown office, which is a lovely stroll. The daily specials can be hit or miss, but the staff is always professional and friendly. View menu

I work nearby Zax's and often stop by. The food is reliably good, making it an excellent choice for lunch meetings, although parking can sometimes be tricky. I typically walk over from my downtown office, and it's a nice walk across the bridge. The daily specials can vary in quality, but the staff is always professional and friendly.

The restaurant had a strong odor of raw fish, so we decided to sit on the terrace instead. I ordered the pizza and was pleasantly surprised by its taste. Unfortunately, my partner was disappointed with her cheese manicotti, as it lacked flavor. We also found the prices to be higher than we expected, which came as a bit of a surprise.

I hosted a happy hour at Zax with more than 40 participants. Staff went beyond and beyond to accommodate my group both before and during the event. Everyone enjoyed the wide range of beer, appetizers and dinner dishes. On a personal note, I was in Zax for small group dinner many times last year. The food has always been delicious and the staff very welcoming. It's my favorite place in Austin! View menu

The meal and service were great, and they have a fantastic selection of beers. I was part of a group of seven, and I absolutely loved the tuna. My only disappointment was the automatic 20% gratuity that was already included in the bill. Isn’t the whole idea of tipping supposed to be based on the quality of the service? It should feel like a personal reward for excellent service, not something that’s mandatory.

"I literally just made a review but I’m going to make another one because for whatever reason someone or somehow it got deleted. I used to be a regular at Bouldin and the service was always amazing but my last two visits have been by far horrible. The service has been so poor that I felt disgusted when leaving the restaurant. There are two girls that work there with light brown hair and blue eyes. Pretty sure one of their names is Rego. My boyfriend and I were served by her before and she seemed nothing but annoyed and couldn’t care less if we were in her section. Barley even interacted with us or asked how our meal was and just seemed disgusted by us, just being rude passive aggressive for no reason at all. I’m a server and I KNOW this isn’t how you treat your guests and the same thing happened tonight. She just seemed like she couldn’t care less if we were there and just seemed annoyed? I don’t mind paying the gratuity if I’m being treated decently but that wasn’t the case and I feel as though they feel like they think they can get away with behaving like mean girls just because there’s a gratuity. I have friends that dine here as well and they have had the same experience. I’m not one to write reviews but I feel this needs to come across a managers attention so they know who they are hiring and how they are treating customers. Really disgusted and disappointing and if this gets deleted again I’ll write another review or just call the store to speak to a manager. Disgusted by their behavior."
