"We had brunch as part of an overnight package at La Tourelle. Our server was very attentive. I was able to have eggs Benedict over spinach instead of an English muffin. The only thing I would have liked was a richer hollandaise sauce but that’s a very minor detail. Recommend this place. And, we had dinner brought over to us the night before. It was excellent. I loved the duck crepes."

"My friend and I decided to come to eat at this location because we were visiting the area. When we arrived we were greeted in a manner that was rushed by the hostess. She proceeds to tell my friend and me that we had five minutes to order and told us to go to the bar. We sat at the bar no one came to take our orders etc. I decided to go speak to the host because of the time we only had two minutes left to order food. I told the hostess the bartender never came and she was extremely rude giving me a lot of hand motions and implying he is coming. She brush me off and was nonchalant about trying to help. My friend and I left. To get that type of treatment when the establishment didn't close until 36mins when we first walk in the door. Maybe this is how local DC treats their customers. Visiting DC was great throughout the entire weekend until we decided to go to this establishment."

"I have been to this restaurant and loved it each time, until tonight. I took my wife for Valentine’s Day and was surprised at the quality of the food. Normally the food is prepared well and quite wonderful, but tonight it was a different story. The calamari was undercooked, the romaine salad was drenched in salad dressing, the sea bass was overcooked. I wondered if Chef Abu was out for the evening and it was a little experienced line chef in charge of the food, but no Chef Abu was present. This was the first time that I have had a disappointing dinner at The Farmer’s Daughter. I suppose anyone can have a bad night, so hopefully this was that one bad night."

"My sister took me to this restaurant last night before I had to work. It was a Monday and the daily special was enchiladas with a choice of fillings. We both chose spinach, cheese, and mushroom with a delicious mushroom sauce on top. My sister was pleasantly surprised to find that they had Modelo beer on tap. Our friendly waitress brought us a large draft in an ice-cold glass along with hot tortilla chips and salsa while we waited. The enchiladas were cooked perfectly and the mushrooms were the best I've ever had. The restaurant is just a few blocks away from our house and we plan to make it our weekly dining spot. I highly recommend Monterrey's Little Mexico in Old Humble, Texas."
