"The servers were so nice and prompt. The place inside is very cute with the fireplace, very cozy. Oh goodness maybe it was an off night but the food was unfortunately not very good. The bread was stale and not warmed up but they had a lovely honey butter to accompany it, if they whipped it would’ve been superb with some warmed up bread. We had the French artichokes to start, I think it would’ve been better with more lemon zest and again it was a little cold. My fiancà got the Delmonico steak which just lacked seasoning but was cooked properly; just not a lot of flavor. His sides were cold and needed seasoning. I had the French onion soup it was good, could’ve been hotter and needed more seasoning Again the staff was lovely, very attentive. Maybe it was an off night with the food. Everything presented looked lovely plated though."

Nice people, construction spoiled some of the “character” of the site. Food was good.

The food and service were good, the facility not so much. The building needs some maintenance work, and the driveway was under repair. With a little TLC, this would be a great place. View menu

The food at this restaurant was fantastic and the atmosphere was enjoyable. However, the service we received from the waitress was extremely disappointing. She seemed disinterested and made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. She only came to our table to give us the check after 20 minutes and did not check on us throughout our meal. We would have given this place a 5-star rating overall, but unfortunately, the waitress's behavior was a major letdown. This was a departure from our previous experiences, as we have always received exceptional service from the staff.

Love the ambience and the local owners but unfortunately the dining experience left a lot to be desired. Our waitress was very scattered brained and never placed our orders in front of the person who actually ordered it there were only 3 of us). Food was okay. Spinach salad and sweet potato fries were excellent but the burger was dry and tasteless ordered medium and got well done), tomato and cucumber salad was drowned in dressing, short ribs unlike any other short ribs) was like a big piece of dry roast and was very mediocre and garlic mashed potatoes were nothing special. I will give them another try but will not order any beef as they don’t know how to prepare it.

"My girlfriend and I decided to take a romantic getaway on the finger lakes and our drive had us passing through Ithaca, so we decided to stop for dinner. A good friend recommended this place, and admittedly I was skeptical of Italian food this far from New York City, but I trust their recommendations and decided to give it a try. I am so glad that I did. For our wine selection, our server allowed us to sample one of the wines by the glass, which tasted thin. When we described what we wanted, she came back with a reasonably priced bottle that exactly hit the deep red notes that we were looking for (see the picture for the winery vintage if interested . We started with the crostini sampler. In my opinion, the Caponata was the best, but they were all interesting to try and I was glad we got all three. As a nice touch, they cut each crostini in half so my girlfriend and I could both easily sample each one. For dinner, I had the grilled hanger steak, which came with rapini and shoestring fries. I admittedly gave an annoyingly long description of how I wanted it cooked (essentially rare+ and they nailed it. The steak was fantastic, but the accompaniments were so good that they almost stole the show. The shoestring fries’ rosemary seasoning was a fun twist and the rapini was both familiar (garlic and olive oil and excitingly different. For dessert, I had what was essentially espresso mousse with graham crackers and a glass of dessert wine. While probably the weakest course, it was still a delicious way to cap an amazing meal. The mousse required a bit more texture, but fortunately they provided graham crackers on the side (which I suggest crumbling into the mousse . I’d highly recommend checking this place out if you happen to be in the area."
