"I ate at Dickie Brennan’s in New Orleans on 06/19/2018. We had a party of six and arrived around 7:00 pm. We realized upon arrival that we were a little under dress, but the hostesses assured us that it was no big deal. We hadn’t made a reservation, but we only waited about 10 minutes to be seated. Before seating us they asked if it was okay for us to be seated in the bar. We had a young child with us so we appreciated them asking before just seating us in the bar. Within two or three minutes of being seated the waiter came to take out drink order. I was surprised to find out they did not sell sweet tea, but I was politely offered unsweetened tea. Our drinks came out quickly along with warm and crisp French bread. We ordered a small New York strip, a fourteen ounce ribeye, the petite filet, and the Grilled Gulf fish, along with a few sides. We waited no longer than thirty minutes for our food and in the meantime the wait staff made sure our drinks were full and asked if we wanted more bread. The New York strip was ordered medium and was a little rarer than expected, but was still edible without having to send it back. The ribeye was ordered well-done and although a little crisp on the out side the steak was still perfectly juicy and tender. The petite filet was ordered medium-rare and was cooked to perfection. Each steak was topped with a garlic herb butter which added just enough flavor depth to make a melody in your mouth. The grilled gulf fish was fork tender and was served with vegetables, both were seasoned nicely. While eating we had four different people, including the head waiter, come by our table asking how our food was. It was upscale and the prices reflected that, however, it was well worth it considering the excellent service and food. We will definitely be eating here again."

"I’m going to start this by saying I only leaving rating when a place is horrible or phenomenal. My boyfriend and I went to @marysvine followed by @thestudyatmarysvine just outside of Pittsburgh last night. First, the environment is unique for so many reasons. It doesn’t feel like a chain or that you are simply another number coming through the door. Having such a detailed, rich atmosphere, this place makes you feel special, almost regal. The wine room is beautiful to look at, as are the large windows and church organ. The service is knowledgeable and thorough, looking to make sure you have the best experience possible. The wine list is the largest I’ve seen in the area. Being able to see detailed photos of the seasonal food menu on iPads is wonderful. The food is thoughtful, and frankly, exquisite. The flavor of the pairings still makes my mouth water. Unlike other restaurants, we weren’t rushed, making it feel much more like an experience rather than an exchange. At the end of our meal, we quietly looked at each other and asked each other’s ranking of the evening up to that point. We agreed on 9.25 and couldn’t recall another experience we’ve ranked higher. Following dinner we headed downstairs to @thestudyatmarysvine where the entrance is enough to set the tone for the evening. You enter through a painting into what feels like another time. The smell of leather and cigars fills the air while your eyes look over the detailed couches, walls of books, and humidor. The iPad menu allow you to see the options with a beautiful photo and listed details of each crafted cocktail. You feel both relaxed and rewarded in The Study. As we sat in the leather chairs, we decided the rating jumped to 9.75. Although we feel more people need to know about the experience, we also like that it feels like a well kept secret outside of the city. This place would be perfect for a quality, luxurious birthday, anniversary, or intimate reception. I will absolutely recommend this place to everyone. We will be back. "This restaurant has tremendous amounts of potential, held slightly back by small little details that add up. First off, the venue is beautiful. The vibe, the decor, the location, it's absolutely excellent and sets the mood perfectly for any event. Having two levels leaves plenty of room, and spacious dining rooms. Next, the service staff is kind, welcoming, and helpful. However, they are missing some core rudiments which I would expect of a venue like this: regular stops to fill water, or dropping a water glass for self service. walking through the menu, offering suggestions for popular or seasonal items letting you know up front which dishes are good to share, and which are better ordered solo. The great thing is, the impression I got from the staff was that they're all incredibly eager, and willing to learn they may just not have been trained to do so. I say this in part because we noticed a manager making rounds of the guests and staff, and generally also glossed over these finer points of hospitality. Once impressed at the top, I have no doubt the staff would immediately take up the challenge and excel. Finally, the food. The bar program is impressive! I wanted to stay all day to try all the drinks the Bourbon Blaze was our absolute favorite. No notes, solid drinks. For the food, we found ourselves a little disappointed with discrepancies in description on the menu, and what we got. For example, for the Short Rib hash we were expecting potatoes akin to, well, a hash. Instead, we had a disappointingly small wedge of potato the short rib was plated on. Also, we ordered two dishes of short rib, and the salt levels were pretty different between them. For portion sizing, I had the country egg Benedict, which was also a bit on the saltier side, but more importantly was overwhelmed on the plate with salad. I loved having the salad with the Benedict, but the salad actually partially covered one of my eggs this was an overwhelming amount of greens that obscured the fact that I had two to begin with. In this particular case, less is more. Finally, for the desserts, the portion sizes were massive! Very, very generous, but I wish I had some warning up front how big the banana pudding and the apple crisp would be, either by the server or the menu. Each of those dishes could serve at least two people and we ordered one for each of us. Overall, there's definitely room for improvement, and I hope they do! Heritage has a lot of promise and I'm excited to see how they implement changes and improve further. I will absolutely come back to track their journey. "My daughter and I had looked forward to having lunch at what use to be our favorite fancy place to eat in Stillwater. She ordered a ribeye WELL DONE I ordered the garden salad with adding the steak to it also cooked WELL DONE! My steak was automatically noticed by myself because they slice it) that it was NOT well done! I immediately said it would need to go back for more fire please. I also included I do not want any pink please. My steak came back still pink. My daughters steak was RED! She is one that prefers it cooked done but can eat it unlike myself. Also would like to include the quality of the salad was not the same as previous visits. Lots of white the ends that are normally disposed of) instead of large tomatoes cut up as previous visits it had some small grape tomatoes. I picked out and left on the side plate a lot of the trash ate the salad enjoyed being with my daughter but The booth we sat in was dusty the sides next to you we could both see the dust standing) I had to wipe off my seat to sit down but I kind of shrugged it off because was still looking forward to the meal. Now here 's the thing OUR SERVER WAS VERY NICE! I think she was possibly one that had not been working very long. She had a difficult table beside us that an older gentleman was being very loud about getting a cup of soup instead of the bowl he wanted. These were OSU people with a donation person. They were very loud So Extra complaints on our server did not seem nice when she was dealing with all of that. But the biggest upset is that our favorite fancy spot is no more And also being a person that never believes in punishing a server for obvious other people having issues housekeeping cleaning the booth seats and surrounding COOK THAT CAN NOT COOK A STEAK enough said about salad. YES I gave ABOVE the highest suggestion because she was very nice!"
