"All food was flavorful came out in a timely manner. My favorite was the grilled shrimp taco, it came with grilled corn on top that added a punch of sweetness to the taco. The steak taco was also very good. The salsa bar was stacked with a a yummy salsa verde chipotle salsa. A shrimp taco à la cart for $5 seems a bit steep, however, the flavors justify the price."

"I didn’t eat in, just did a pickup. I got the taco trio, which included a Baja shrimp taco, a breaded fish taco, and a mahi mahi taco. The best one by far was the breaded fish, followed by the shrimp, with the mahi mahi coming in last. While the mahi mahi was good, the shrimp and breaded fish were significantly better. I found both the mahi mahi and shrimp to have a spicy kick. The guy who handed me my food was really fast and super friendly. I would definitely come back, but only for the breaded fish tacos!"

"I’m visiting from out of town, and I actively sought out Rubio’s because of multiple previous positive experiences. Of course, I ordered the original fish tacos. Unfortunately, tonight’s experience needed some improvement: the air conditioning wasn’t working; there was no ice available for drinks; and the fish in the tacos was folded in half before frying (almost like a ball) which is just not compatible with a taco. I’ll be back, though."

"However, there was another issue when I noticed that my order had been entered incorrectly as a mango avocado salad instead of the avocado corn taco salad that I had actually ordered. Despite showing them the menu item, the staff insisted that they did not have the salad I wanted and suggested removing the mango from my order. When I finally received my food, it was not what I had originally ordered. Despite showing them a picture of the menu from my phone, the staff seemed unconcerned and offered to remake the dish that they had told me they did not have. Frustrated with the service and errors in my order, I requested a refund for the incorrect meal. The lack of apology or accountability from the staff left me feeling unsatisfied with my experience, and I do not plan on returning to this location. I hope they improve their service in the future."

"Love love love Rubios but dislike this particular location! Went on the weekend where there were only young teenagers working (no offense to the teenagers) but they did not care about the quality of the service they gave. Cashier gave tons on attitude when we addressed items missing from our order and being prepared incorrectly! Manager on duty stepped in to fixed service and correct missing items! If I want my yummy avocado corn taco salad I will be driving to the bell location ???????????"

"Living out of state, we try to visit Rubios whenever we're in San Diego. The fish tacos are just sooooo good and the menu variety pretty stacked. Used to get the enchilada in the past, but it looks as if they don't offer them any longer. This location was clean with limited seating. No crowd! Staff was polite and helpful. "Okay so I love Rubio's. When I first discovered them I was addicted to the fish taco especial's. The pesky combo was my go to meal every time I visited. Well now I've been to Rubio's so many times I realize that I pretty much like ALL their food. Currently is the coastal trio that I'm loving. So this is the first time I went to this Rubio's because I recently started working near this one and getting lunch daily at Gravity Heights can put you in the poor house. So I suggested to a CO worker that we go here one day and we can have a glass of wine here as well! Well we were beyond disappointed because this location only serves beer (don't get me wrong I'm a beer longer too), which is a bummer because we love the food and how close it is and it would save us A TON of money IF we decided to have a glass of two of wine at lunch time. Of course my job frowns upon that and we have taken that into consideration. Anyway the cashier was very hard to understand, not just because of the mask, that's understandable- but he mumbled and spoke very low. Not unfriendly though. All in all it was a good experience. Always love the food"

"I am a frequent customer to rubios and i got the worst service today which ruined my night out. We were warned we might for 30 minutes which we agreed to. After 30 minutes i got my order, asked whether they put utensils in and left. We drove away to enjoyour food to find our the lid was big on the container, didnt close properly and spilled. I found out they did not put utensilseither. Such a poor customer service. We had to drive all the way back to town to get utensils from somewhere else. Afterwaiting for 30 minutes we were starving and it was extremely unpleasant to have half the food and no utensils. My favoriterestaurant is not the favorite anymore."

"The food was excellent, with both dishes being flavorful and served in generous portions. The customer service was outstanding—friendly and professional. My only concern with this restaurant is the cleanliness of the dining area, particularly the salsa station. I understand that things can get hectic, but I noticed two different employees walked by, acknowledged its condition, yet did nothing about it, even while one was busy wiping down tables. It's not a major issue, but it does detract from the overall experience and is an easy fix."

"I've been a fan of Rubio's for 30 years. My absolute favorite is the langostino lobster, but everything on the menu is delicious. This time, I ordered a steak taco and a shrimp taco, and it was the perfect surf and turf combination. My nephew loves their bean and cheese burritos, and I think it says a lot when a restaurant can make a bean and cheese burrito that people enjoy ordering. My husband had the California bowl with cauliflower rice and said it was fantastic. Every order was fresh and flavorful. We always make sure to visit Rubio's at least once whenever we're in California."

"It’s a nice restaurant however whenever I order online the order is wrong or missing items. The last order I had the forgot my side of beans and gave me a child bean and cheese instead of adult. The bowls we got had hard crunchy rice and the portion sizes were significantly less. Idk if it’s certain employees because the orders are usually worse when the younger teenage men are working, however the quality care is just not there. I like rubios but this location is not consistent it used to be but it’s no longer a reliably good meal."

"We both got the coastal trio the original fish taco was one of the best crispy fish tacos I've ever had the batter was great fish was fresh and had a great crunch but not overcooked. The blacked mahi mahi taco tasted super fresh and it was unique withits own chipotle sauce and had corn and onions so it was peppery not to spicy and sweet. The shrimp taco came with avacadoinside it and they were all great in their own individual way the chips and beans I added to the meal were very good as well andthe salsas very good also highly recommended."

"first time here. Was excited to try the Baja cesar salad. Noticed no avocado on my salad and the texture and color of chicken was different. I?ve been to rubios probably about 70 times before but the chicken doesn?t have that texture. It had almost likea undercooked texture and a bit slimy. Bummer. Took out the chicken but still ate the salad."

"How refreshing. Fresno market is saturated with tacos places but I have yet to find a place that does a shrimp taco well. I personally think they place does. The problem with a lot of other places they don't offer very much sauce. So the taco would have to solely rely on the flavor of the shrimp. Here at rubios they offer super flavorful shrimps and a nice creamy sauce. On top of that they ask if you want salsa. I got the shrimp trio and each one packs a punch. All different styles and flavors and it was all so good. I also got the California burrito with steak and added shrimp. That burrito was about $16 and it was worth it because they added such a generous amount of shrimp. Normally when you ask for extra shrimp somewhere they offer like 4 shrimps. But not here. I felt like I had a shrimp in every bite. But the only thing I didn't like was the kids fish and fries. The fish piece were so big. I was surprised they offer the two fish prices, fries, and a drink for $7. The flavor of the fish was good, seasoned well. But man that fish was soooo oily. It was dripping in oil. Almost like they cooked it in oil that wasn't fully heated. Next time I'll try a fish taco and see if that's oily too. But overall I was satisfied. The food was good. Our waitress/cashier person was super helpful. It was our first time there and she answered al our questions. Would come again."

"Short review this time. Last two times I ordered here the food was wrong. The time before last, I had to come back to the restaurant twice. They had forgotten most of the meal, then have the wrong sauce to the wife. Must make her happy!!! I wouldhave gone back 5 times to satisfy her but it only took 3 visits that evening to this location. Food is pretty good but doublecheck your order. Save yourself the hassle. They have some high turnover here and that may be the issue. The restaurant did makeit right and I was happy after talking to mgmt, so 4 stars instead of 3."

"I ordered take out for my family from Rubio's and overall we thought the food was too spicy, not very good, and barely warm. I ordered online, got there about 5 minutes before the food was supposed to be ready and it was a little late and we ate the foodwithin 10 minutes of it coming out and it was still barely warm. They were fairly busy as they were running a promotion for alocal high school which I think is fantastic by the way. Restaurant was mostly clean, one of the employees was scrambling toclean the tables. The staff was friendly and the manager came out to the folks in line to politely tell them they were runninglate which I also thought was great."

"Ever since the Livermore location closed, I had to travel to Rubio's in Tracy and Pleasant Hill. The customer service at Pleasant Hill is much better than Tracy's. The food is also prepared quicker. I usually order the shrimp trio, and I noticed right away that the quality wasn't as good at Pleasant Hill.
