"TLDR: The Winter Garden is a “glamping” eating experience, fun and quirky. Food is fun and delicious. This whole experience was fun and quirky, never anything like before. We first arrived in our dining area which is a mini private yurt just big enough for two to squeeze in, definitely toasty. Inside the yurt is themed with camping or “glamping” items. The menu is to be read with 3D glasses. The food comes in 3 courses which you get a good variety of choices each appetizer, entree, and pre-set dessert all to share. The appetizers we got frito pie, smoked trout dip, and wagyu sliders. The frito pie concept was cute in a fritos bag; the chili and mushroom in the frito pie was tasty but slightly overpowered by the chips themselves. All appetizers were delicious. For entree we got the bison tomahawk steak, chicken pot pie, and short rib stew. Bison steak had a nice crust and the meat was not too dry nor lean. Short rib in a stew is a genius idea and the meat was super tender. Chicken pot pie was good but a little on the salty side. All were again, delicious. The dessert was mushroom forest. I must say this was one of the most interesting dessert experience I have ever had, that despite the waiter explaining each and every component beforehand, left the rest of the taste imagination to my brain. It wasn’t all sweet; a hint of umami flavor as well as some acidity to cut the sweetness. In addition we got smores cooked on a open fire which is the cherry on top to this “glamping” eating experience."

"I recently had the pleasure of experiencing brunch at The Modern, and it absolutely blew me away. From start to finish, the meal was a perfect blend of creativity, flavor, and presentation. The highlight of my meal was the Egg on Egg dish—a truly unique experience. It began with a beautifully crispy and buttery breadstick, which was served with a luscious egg yolk mixture, topped with caviar. The addition of a mysterious, refreshing ring element perfectly balanced the richness of the dish, offsetting the butter and egg with a vibrant, fresh taste. Every bite was an explosion of flavor and texture, making this dish an unforgettable start to the meal. The other dishes followed a similar theme of excellence. The lobster ravioli, for example, was a delightful surprise, served with a citrusy and refreshing twist that elevated the dish to new heights. Each course had a refreshing element that kept the meal light, yet satisfying. Beyond the incredible food, the presentation was simply stunning. Each dish was a work of art, meticulously prepared and served with elegance. The Modern perfectly embodies the theme of MoMA, as every dish feels like a piece of modern art—creative, daring, bold, and thoroughly enjoyable. I cannot recommend The Modern enough for anyone looking to indulge in a brunch experience that is both refined and innovative. The attention to detail, both in flavor and presentation, makes it a must-visit for food lovers in New York City."
