"I recently had the pleasure of experiencing brunch at The Modern, and it absolutely blew me away. From start to finish, the meal was a perfect blend of creativity, flavor, and presentation. The highlight of my meal was the Egg on Egg dish—a truly unique experience. It began with a beautifully crispy and buttery breadstick, which was served with a luscious egg yolk mixture, topped with caviar. The addition of a mysterious, refreshing ring element perfectly balanced the richness of the dish, offsetting the butter and egg with a vibrant, fresh taste. Every bite was an explosion of flavor and texture, making this dish an unforgettable start to the meal. The other dishes followed a similar theme of excellence. The lobster ravioli, for example, was a delightful surprise, served with a citrusy and refreshing twist that elevated the dish to new heights. Excellent experience at The Modern. We sat by the window which looks into the MoMA courtyard, which was great. We were there for lunch and had the 3 course meal, which we thought was great value. The highlights were the chocolate tart and the duck entree.

I booked the Kitchen Table and it was an incredible experience. The food was absolutely amazing and you left feeling full but not stuffed. The atmosphere was very fun and it was unique to see all the chefs in action. This experience was worth every penny and was right up there with any 3 Michelin Starred restaurant. The staff made us feel very comfortable and it was a very enjoyable experience. We had dietary restrictions and they were able to accommodate with ease! If you are able to get a reservation for the Kitchen Table or the dining room for the tasting menu while in NYC, do yourself a favor and book it!

The meal we ended up having was very good 5 stars for food. But we did get a bit bait and switched today. The Modern's signature dish, eggs on eggs on eggs, was recently removed from the lunch pre fixe menu. That dish alone was half the reason we (and I think many others) were visiting the restaurant, so I think it would have been worth bringing up that it was removed from the menu when I called the day prior. We ended up going with the tasting menu for $275, which included the eggs on eggs on eggs, and it was delicious.
