"More like Restaurant WHOA! I wanna first say: unbeatable prices for the quality of food and service here. The happy hour is outstanding. It’s almost as though this chef wants to create a special and satisfying experience for all, while not requiring patrons to shell out beaucoup bucks solely for the price of admission. You can have a 3-course prix fixe dinner for $65, and the 6-course chef’s tasting menu for $95– both offer wine pairing— BUT you can also have an outstanding $7 caipirinha or old fashioned from 4-6pm. I have to censor the rest of the following prices, because they’re such a bargain that I don’t want people to know the exact number. We had an awesome $x antipasti, paid $x for the best tempura prawns I’ve ever had (TEMPURA, not just fried), had a $1x lb of mussels in an amazing and authentic broth (guy brought us homemade focaccia to dip in it: the words cannot be said on this platform). They make their own pasta. We didn’t have the pasta, but we had the spot prawn special and it was sooooo interesting. Dare to be adventurous! There are things on the menu you won’t find anywhere else around. You can tell that somebody really competent is running the show, and everybody I saw seemed happy to work there. I live in one of the top foodie places in the world, and I think this is up there with the best, east to west, and I’m so glad this gem is in Coos Bay. I want to go every day for the rest of my trip. Thanks Restaurant O! Vegetarian options: Lots o’ “V”s up in here. Dietary restrictions: Many vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Ingredients are mostly clearly written in the description."

"Overall, I was always impressed by Paper Doll. We have always enjoyed the entire atmosphere of the place and drinks they have to offer. About a month ago some friends and I booked places for the dollhouse at Paper Doll. We had been looking forward to it for months and I even had people from the city. When we arrived, the host told us that the dollhouse was not open at the moment. This was surprising because we had received notifications about our reservations for some time. He told us that they were low on the staff, what we understood completley, and that they would not be able to eat us back there. I told him that I totally understand that they were short employees, and we wouldn't complain yet expect ordinary service, but really wanted in Dollhouse because of 1) our big group size, and 2) the fact that we celebrated birthdays. He was very friendly, but not knocking, but was very helpful to make sure we sit in regular seats on Paper Doll. It ended all right, and we did all push and fit on the stands, but it was still not what we had expected. The next time it would be great to know before the time whether the place we book is not open because we would have gone 100% to another bar if we knew it in advance. The host was helpful and tried, but it was still frustrating that we came about 20 guests and no idea that the room should be closed. They also suggested that we have booked it on a separate website, but on OpenTable it was not clear that you had to do this with large groups. Beverages were great and the staff was friendly and helpful, just write this review to help anyone who can do the same in the future."

"My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at this restaurant. We submitted a reservation through this platform and explained it was our anniversary. We arrived exactly at appointed time. The entrance was a little cluttered upon our arrival as the Manager was collecting names of newly arrived guests (ours and a couple in front of us) to sort out the seating. As this was happening, another couple entered the restaurant. To make room and be considerate, my wife and I stepped aside, which allowed them to speak with the hostess. My wife and I continue chatting while waiting for our table, when the hostess sits the couple that arrived after us in our seat. There was no communication between the manager and the host, which caused us to miss out on our table. They told us to take a seat at the bar to wait for a new table to become available because all tables were occupied in the establishment. This was disappointing but they comped our first round of drinks. We decided to eat at the bar. The bartenders were excellent attentive and they made fantastic drinks. It wasn't long until we ran into more issues. When my wife attempted to order her meal, they explained they were out of Filet Mignon. Unfortunately, my wife made the choice to order the New York Strip. The cook on the steak was what we requested but there was no seasoning on the steak, like it had been forgotten entirely. We attempted to revive it by adding our own salt and pepper; it didn't work out. The restaurant removed the charge from our tab we left it. I ordered the ribeye and thought it was perfectly fine. We both enjoyed our sides: Mac Cheese, Mashed Potatoes, Brussel Sprouts and Green Beans. We also liked the Brie and Choc Pistachio Cake. After the disappointing meal, my wife got very sick after dinner that evening. There was no other opportunity for her to get sick other than the dinner. Instead of celebrating five years of marriage in a proper manner, she was fighting for her life on the toilet."
