"Never had food cooked by a Michelin star chef before. Chef O did not disappoint and was well deserving of the star. He has trained and met various high profile chefs but has such a personable and friendly personality. Food: We had a party of 6 and it was priced reasonably well for high quality food with elegant presentation. In Seattle and other metropolitan areas this would be almost double the amount. We did the Valentine's Day special and the first dish was an amuse bouche to clean our palate. Let me tell you, the oyster with wasabi caviar was amazing! Then we had the tuna carpaccio and the fried capers wow I wanted a dish of capers just as an app! Then came the main entree which was lobster risotto and it was pretty amazing as well. The sorbet and strawberry mousse very tasty as well. Perfect end to our evening! Ambiance: The decor was nice it felt like a mini art gallery and we sat upstairs. Unfortunately it was dark outside so we did not get to enjoy much of the view of the Slough but it did give some off some romantic vibes with the candlelit tables and dark lighting. if you are doing these 5 6 course dinner, be prepared to stick around for a few hours as it's all about the presentation and enjoying the flavors of the dishes. Overall I had a pleasant experience and would recommend this place if you are in Coos Bay."

Excellent food. Portions are on the small side. Drinks could be garnished better. My Bloody Mary was tasty and had a hint of smoke that was unique but was garnished unenthusiastically with two olives on a toothpick.

Seriously amazing food. This is one of those rare experiences when I left a restaurant truly wowed by the meal. The chef truly knows how to tie flavors together and make amazing dishes. This is a must visit...a diamond in the rough so to speak. Bravo !!!

We had an amazing meal! The best halibut dish I have ever had! Most restaurants cannot cook halibut correctly this was absolute perfection. The wait staff service was exemplary! Recommended wine paired perfectly with the food. Wonderful evening can't wait to go back !

This is a great little place. Coos Bay is lucky to have it. We stopped in for Dinner on a Saturday night. Romantic and cozy; we sat in the bar side. The bartender was great! The other side wasn't as quiet. The pasta is homemade. We had never had pork belly so we tried it. It was in a great sauce. The menu is very versatile, there's something for everyone. View menu

What a good surprise to find such a gem in an unexpected location. I would expect to find such fine restaurant in big cities. Thoughtful, smooth and attentive interaction which starts at the reservation call and continues at the welcome arrival and during dinner. Selected the 6 course service with paired wine which was delightful experience from beginning to end. Even though I was alone, I always felt well and warmly taken care of, as if I was a long time friend of the place. Coos bay is privileged to have such a restaurant and should be enjoyed without moderation.

The inside is confusing. You can seat yourself on one side or be seated on the other side but the same menu. Questions are frowned apon. Super solid food. The service was lacking. I can understand a slow social dinner. But this wasn't that, they were just low on staff or we weren't seen as a priority. Never got water that we asked for at the start and it felt like we were a burden. I considered not ordering a 2nd drink because I had been done with my first for so long. We had to bring our card to the bartender to pay when there wasn't even 3 tables left. There were flies in the dining room. View menu

Food was delicious! The bread, the Caesar salad, Pappardelle Pasta, Chicken Marsala all of it tasted made from scratch. As far as the food, my only complaint was the cost of the salads. I paid $10 for a Caesar salad that was about a quarter cup of lettuce on my plate. Overpriced. Service..here is where three stars kicks in. We waited 25min for our salads and an hour for our entrees. Way too long. We would not recommend nor would we return for this reason. My husband's chicken marsala was supposed to come with two sides, vegetables and rice. They brought the chicken on top of the vegetables and we had to ask for the rice. They brought it five minutes later. Ridiculous. Ambiance..no music play...

The menu had lots to offer and it was hard to choose. But we both went with the lobster Thermidor. It was surprisingly light and delicious. We chose the bok choy and mixed vegetables sides and they were also delicious. I do suggest the bok choy be served in a plate not a bowl. You have to move it to your plate to cut it. Oh, we started with the halibut tartar. While fresh and light, all the seasonings were surrounding the tartar so you had to season it yourself. I wasn't fond of that. There not enough seasoning available to make it interesting or memorable. We didn't finish it. I saved the best for last, the dessert. Possibly the BEST ever! Wonderful lemon curd squares, chilled perfectly, wi...

"Chose this spot due to being dog friendly. The yelp reviews had me a little worried but our experience was great! For the first 20 30 min we were there, there was only one guy working the floor and register. He was covering the main dining room, the side room, and the outdoor patio where we were sitting at least 8 tables in between the three. Considering how much he was taking care of, he was doing an awesome job. Mozzarella sticks came out pretty quickly and were devoured by our ravenous crew. They were ok just kind of generic mozz sticks. In two of the five sticks, the cheese had leaked out during the frying process, leaving a hollow shell of breadcrumbs. The rest of the food came out soon after and we dove in. Everyone was really happy with what they ordered. My son and I split two 1/2 and 1/2 platters, opting for Calamari (interesting thick pieces), popcorn shrimp (ok), scallops (pretty tasty, although fried scallops will always be inferior to sautéed in my opinion), and clam strips (the real winner with my son. I love their flavor, I just wish there had been bigger pieces or just more). My wife opted for the 3 pc Pacific Cod and chips from the Minnow menu. She said it was the perfect portion for a light lunch. My vegetarian daughter ordered the grilled cheese and we were all impressed by the cook on the sandwich see my pic perfect golden brown from crust to crust. I almost forgot to mention the house made cocktail and tartar sauces. Both were really good. Cocktail could probably have more horseradish, but good for a general audience. Prices were alright, considering we're in a touristy spot. 4 meals, and appetizer, four soft drinks , and a good tip ran us $100. Overall, the service was great and the food pretty tasty. I would absolutely go back again."
