"I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all. They call it Nepalese, but it's just a fancy name for Indian food that I love. There are many excellent Indian restaurants here, but this is not one of them. Firstly, there were no other customers when we got there. Two parties came in after us and we dealt with them before we did. We have expressly told the waitress everything mild. When we ordered a birayani she forgot to tell us until we complained that it is always spicy. We started with an inedible lentil soup. It was cold and salty. We asked for hot tea and she said they had gone out that afternoon. Our chicken tikka was all sauce and very little chicken. We sent it back and told them to add more chicken. The shrimp dish was the same - all sauce and hardly any shrimp. The sauces over the rice were pleasant, but overpriced for how little you got. We enjoyed the starter of Mo MO and the Chana Masala. I love Mango Lassi, but they just poured it out of a 1 gallon container. It was probably pre-made in the supermarket. Don't go here when we have such a large and diverse Indian community with excellent restaurants across the region."

"The service we received at this restaurant was very friendly and attentive. We chose to split the antipasti for one, which was simple with only cold cuts and two slices of provolone, but it lacked dressing. My companion ordered the lasagne, which was a good size and delicious, although he was informed that it was meatless when it wasn't. I decided on the Veal Marsala with mushrooms, which was tasty and had tender veal (something rare in most restaurants). The portions were generous and reasonably priced. Despite not being in my neighborhood, I would probably come back again."

"I had pizza there yesterday with my family. We ordered 2 large pizza 's and fries. I received my bill, and noticed there was something labeled line item for an extra $4.00. I asked the server what that charge was for, and I was told it was a charge for sharing pizza. I asked again in shock, and the manager/owner then told me that every pizza place does this. I have eaten pizza all over North America, and I have never ever seen this for pizza. I asked where this was mentioned on the menu, and was then told it was not on the menu, they just add it to the bill. I told them that if they need to charge more for their pizza, they need to charge more for their pizza, not charge a fee to eat pizza in the restaurant. I know this is only 4 dollars, but I have not felt this ripped off in a very long time. Very shady practice, they least they could have done was be honest and label it food sharing fee, not a non descript line item charge."

"My wife and I have dined at Short Hills several times and have always enjoyed our meals. However, our most recent visit with another couple who had never been there was quite disappointing. We had just an hour before graduation, and our waitress had a rather unfriendly attitude. One of our friends ordered a hot corned beef sandwich, but it was served cold, and the waitress seemed annoyed that she had to take it back to the kitchen. My potato pancakes were overcooked and lacked flavor. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience."

"Major decline in quality over the years. My wife and I used to LOVE going here, we even had part of our wedding catered by them. We visited twice in the past few weeks as we hadn 't been in a long time and were craving some of their great food. The first visit was majorly disappointing; we thought maybe it was a fluke, but the second visit was just as frustrating. They offer a lot less on their menu than previously, the quality of the food has declined, the portions shrunk significantly, and both times we had to dispute incorrect charges. I wish that I could recommend NYBB as it used to be our go-to brunch location, but I highly recommend you go somewhere else. We won 't be coming back ?."

"It's a nice Italian restaurant with good service. If you come here go for the pizza which it extremely good! The pasta dishes were mediocre at best, simple and too salty. The chicken in the pasta wasn't tasty. The decore is old, but all in all, a goodplace for pizza with nice service and welcoming atmosphere."

"To start, our waitress Grisella was pleasant, professional and courteous. The reason for three stars is that I ordered a patti melt and asked the waitress if I could have a turkey burger instead of the standard beef burger that comes on a classic patti melt. She said, “So, you want a turkey burger on bread?”. I said no. The patty melt comes grilled, on rye and melted cheese and onions. She said, “well you can have whatever kind of bread you want on your turkey burger”. So I said, I want rye, like is supposed to be on the patti melt. She said ok, and asked what kind of cheese, and told me, “because its technically a turkey burger, it will come with lettuce and tomato as well, is that ok?” I said sure. Well, I was served exactly what she said, a turkey burger on bread, and NOT a patti melt. I was disappointed that Grisella didn’t understand the difference in the menu items. The sandwich was fresh and hot, but not what I wanted. I understand the menu is huge and perhaps it’s difficult to know all the ins and outs of every single dish, but I have also worked in restaurants for many years and know there are special modification options on the ordering systems that easily could have asked for a turkey burger substitution."

"Standard diner, nothing particularly notable about the anesthetics or decor run of the mill in that regard. The staff and owners are what stand out at this establishment. Went there with my two kids and they enjoyed the staff's especially our waitress's hospitality and attention. The family feel of whole experience prompted me to order a vanilla egg cream which I had not had in about 30 years. The one area I would ask management to address is the spartan condition of the restrooms. Pretty minor considering the other factors that make this a great go to place in Bay Ridge."

"The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and Christa is always a pleasure to be around. The kids really enjoy it here, too. Plus, all the talented performers from the state opera have breakfast here, which speaks volumes about the place!"

"This was my first visit and I was very pleased with the food and the service. Everyone as friendly and we were greeted as we approached the counter. It's a seat yourself environment so nothing crazy as you walk through the door, just head to the counter and order. The food came out hot and fresh. The portion sizes were more than enough to be full and grab a to-go box worth. The men's bathroom smelled and looked clean. Most restaurants miss the mark on either of those but this one did not. 10/10 would recommend!"

"I went there yesterday to order two grinders. Not only are the grinders pricey but being that we were in a rush to get back home which was a hr away we gave a tip. We had no time to settle down and eat so we ate are grinders late which is when we openedthem. When we opened them they had no lettuce no tomato. Not much meat or cheese. I'm 4 months pregnant with twins and alreadywas tired and was anxious for my grinder and that was so disappointing. My husband to go out and buy lettuce and tomatoes to addto our sandwich. When I called the restaurant they gonna tell me you have to ask for lettuce and tomatoes being this is anITALIAN restaurant never have I been to a restaurant like this and have to ask for lettuce and tomato. They gonna say noteveryone want that. But as advertised on the menu it says come with cheese lettuce and tomato even online the option is to sayNO lettuce and NO tomato. Which annoyed me was I never got an apology just it doesn't come with that but it's like you reallytrying to argue with me and both menu and online say the food come like that. They say they gonna give me a refund I better seeit didn't even deserve no tip never will I go back just rude people."

"Incredible menu with always fresh products. Can not beat the service or the pricing for the quality and quantity you receive with your orders. A must GOTO place in Metuchen. Best in the area and I know pretty much all of the eateries in the area."
