"I wanted to check this place out because I had heard of the deal that their basic and specialty rolls are always half off. I guess they could also just change the prices on the menu to be half off but the deal is good marketing.I called in my order for pickup and it was ready in 10 minutes. One interesting thing I noticed was that 22 out of 27 of their specialty rolls have eel sauce on top. I think eel sauce is delicious but I don 't think it 's really common to see that on most of their rolls.RAINBOW ROLL $7) this was the standard rainbow roll that you 'd get at most sushi restaurants. 3/5SOUNDERS $9) texturally I wasn 't as much of a fan of this one compared to the others mostly because of the tempura flakes. I liked the spicy mayo in it but it also overpowered some of the other ingredients. 3/5SALMON LOVERS $9) I would say I 'm a salmon lover so I got this. I could 've done without the lemon slices on top so I took them off but I enjoyed all the salmon in the roll. 4/5UNIVERSITY WAY $9) I also liked this one, especially because of the seared salmon on top. 4/5SOS $9) out of the five rolls I got, this was my favorite. I really liked the combo of the shrimp and the spicy tuna. 5/5The total for all these rolls was $48.05 which is a great deal. The sushi was pretty good for a great price and this might be my go to if I want quick and affordable sushi."

"For our main courses, my son had the teriyaki steak and I ordered the teriyaki chicken. Unfortunately, the steak was nearly inedible. We both struggled to chew the meat, and I even had to spit out my first bite because it was too large to swallow safely. After two bites of what felt like chewing gum that wouldn’t break down, we concluded that the steak was likely a poor cut and not cooked well. My chicken, however, was acceptable. As for the steamed vegetables, they were okay, but my son mentioned that some of them had a fishy taste, possibly due to cross-contamination with the shrimp. We both ordered fried rice, which was served by filling a square bowl and inverting it onto the plate. Unfortunately, the rice on the outside was dried out, while the inside was still wet. It seemed like the rice had been prepared hours earlier and not stored correctly, leading to moisture issues. I brought this up to our waiter, who spoke to the cook. The cook apologized but said there was nothing he could do. When we were about to leave, I asked about the manager’s response to our complaint, only to find out that the manager wasn’t present, and no one was available to address our concerns. We were told there was no resolution and that we were leaving without our meals. They expressed their apologies, but when I mentioned that I wouldn’t be returning, the waiter simply smiled and said, “Okay.” This was my second visit; I had enjoyed my first experience, but it appears they have replaced the cook and chosen to cut corners at the expense of quality food."

"After watching Iron Chef: Legends and rooting for Esther Choi kill it as a fellow Brooklynites with couldn?t be more excited to order from one of her restaurants Mokbar BK. One of her sous chefs she brought on the show was the main chef from this restaurant and she absolutely killed it during the competition! We ordered food on Uber Eats and delivery was very fast ~30 minutes). We ordered variety of things classic ramen just as a baseline, house special kimchi ramen, dumplings and the famous Korean chicken. Below is the review of the food: We started with the Korean chicken and it looked very good. It had this glassy texture although on the bite it did not have the crunch that we were expecting. Weordered it spicy, but there was hardly any bite to the chicken and the seasoning on it was good, but not great. Next we went to the dumpling which was probably the best part of the meal. The sauce made them they were steamed to perfectionsand were overall pleasant. Lastly the biggest disappointment were the ramen dishes. The broth tasted like it had a years worth of sodium intake in it. Extremely salty. Despite the salt which affected the chef significantly. The meat inboth of the dishes was very bland almost boiled, egg did not add any taste or texture. Noodles were fine. Kimchi was very mediocre this restaurant suppose to be famous for kimchi). Very very disappointing. Maybe we set our bar too high.Seeing Chef Choi present judges with perfect food and them saying that was the best food they ever eaten made us dream of it. But the unfortunate reality is that the food wouldn?t just not be worthy of an excellent restaurant. It wouldn?tbe eaten from any restaurant. We tried to like it very hard. Looking for a perfect bite. But sad truth that at best the food was good/ok. At worst with ramen dishes plainly unbeatable. I hope Mokbar will find a way to meet the expectationsthey set by appearing on iron chef. Because at this moment the food they are serving is no"
