"After watching Iron Chef: Legends and rooting for Esther Choi kill it as a fellow Brooklynites with couldn?t be more excited to order from one of her restaurants Mokbar BK. One of her sous chefs she brought on the show was the main chef from this restaurant and she absolutely killed it during the competition! We ordered food on Uber Eats and delivery was very fast ~30 minutes). We ordered variety of things classic ramen just as a baseline, house special kimchi ramen, dumplings and the famous Korean chicken. Below is the review of the food: We started with the Korean chicken and it looked very good. It had this glassy texture although on the bite it did not have the crunch that we were expecting. Weordered it spicy, but there was hardly any bite to the chicken and the seasoning on it was good, but not great. Next we went to the dumpling which was probably the best part of the meal. The sauce made them they were steamed to perfectionsand were overall pleasant. Lastly the biggest disappointment were the ramen dishes. The broth tasted like it had a years worth of sodium intake in it. Extremely salty. Despite the salt which affected the chef significantly. The meat inboth of the dishes was very bland almost boiled, egg did not add any taste or texture. Noodles were fine. Kimchi was very mediocre this restaurant suppose to be famous for kimchi). Very very disappointing. Maybe we set our bar too high.Seeing Chef Choi present judges with perfect food and them saying that was the best food they ever eaten made us dream of it. But the unfortunate reality is that the food wouldn?t just not be worthy of an excellent restaurant. It wouldn?tbe eaten from any restaurant. We tried to like it very hard. Looking for a perfect bite. But sad truth that at best the food was good/ok. At worst with ramen dishes plainly unbeatable. I hope Mokbar will find a way to meet the expectationsthey set by appearing on iron chef. Because at this moment the food they are serving is no"

I came here to try iron chef Esther?s dishes and it is delicious! Every dish stood out and all of us enjoyed a meal. If you are near by Barclay center, you should visit here and try her menu!

when we arrived in time for our reservation, the hostess told us that she had no tables and no one would be available anytime soon. no apologies, only the opportunity was to sit on a community table we finally did. View menu

When we got there, they said they couldn't hold our reservation and that there was something wrong with their system, so I shouldn't have ever been able to make the reservation to begin with. They didn't try to make any accommodations for our situation.

I was thrilled to find a Korean Jipbap menu at this upscale fusion restaurant, K! The prices were quite reasonable. For lunch, I ordered the fish of the day and it was grilled to perfection. It paired perfectly with a bowl of rice and delicious side dishes. It truly felt like a homemade meal and quickly became my new favorite. I highly recommend checking it out!

They were very accommodating when we had a couple of extra people added to our reservation. The large tables in back fit us well. We were able to hear each other well since the noise level was low. The food was delicious! We shared various appetizers and main courses even though the mains seemed arranged like a meal for one person. But it worked for a family style meal. The K-pop chicken was yummy—we ended up ordering more of that appetizer in the middle of dinner! View menu

The service at this restaurant was generally good and accommodating on a busy Sunday night. We arrived around 8:30 and waited for about 10 minutes. Overall, the food was decent. The presentation was more elegant than what you typically find in Korea Town, but I would need to visit a few more times to fully appreciate their menu. Nevertheless, it is a good spot to visit occasionally. I give extra praise to the staff for their hard work in a busy environment, and for keeping up with the food orders despite the chaos.

I ordered takeout from this restaurant. While on the subway, I browsed the menu online to decide what to have for lunch. When I arrived, one of the employees held the door open for me. I noticed there were two separate entrances, one for customers and one for staff. The menu had a good variety of options. I was suggested to add Bulgogi Ribeye to my Royal Bibim Bap, which was a bowl of rice with vegetables, a fried egg, sauce, seaweed, and a choice of meat. I also ordered some Halmoni Dumplings, Cucumber Kimchi, and Napa Kimchi to take home. The food was delicious and the portion was enough for two people. I will definitely be back to order again. Next on my list to try is the Ho'cake, which...

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
