"We celebrated Valentine's Day at this restaurant and it was truly wonderful. I ordered the salmon, while my husband chose the steak and potatoes. Our server, Maggie, was absolutely outstanding. She was incredibly quick and communicated effectively, making the evening run seamlessly. We genuinely felt cared for during our time there. The tavern is fortunate to have someone like her, and I strongly suggest a raise if she hasn't received one already. It's rare to find staff who are not only willing to work, especially after the pandemic, but who also genuinely care about the people they serve. Maggie is truly a gem! She was kind, attentive, and we definitely plan to return, with the only request being that Maggie is our server again! I highly recommend this place!"

"Ok here 's the GIG. As a home town Hoosier here I 've tried just about everything and every diner I can. I live here. Gotta try everything you know! So many restaurants here in Bloomington and abroad are very good. Some are not. This place is no exception! It actually goes above and beyond traditional in terms of taste, quality of food, and home town service. The food here is Grade A. Fresh. From their greens to their meats. They got a connection or something. I 've been here now twice and both times off the chain excellent! I heard their steak burgers are one of the best you will ever try. I tried it today. "Sam our waitress was super friendly and attentive, atmosphere was cozy with the meat side of the restaurant with meat available for purchase. Wine was excellent, white Moscato, salad with home made buttermilk recommended was delicious and the bread was a warm dense but not overly dense bread with whipped butter that melted right in. As far as the steaks, they were both cooked perfectly but im more of a salt and pepper person. These have a buttery herb seasoning that while tasted good wasn 't really what I prefer on a steak but that 's just a personal choice. Overall a great experience and I heard great things about the pork chops and ribs."

"I'll do the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. The Good: Great menu selection. Waitress Ashley S was excellent!! She was on top of everything and very attentive!! Mac N Cheese bowl was really good The Bad: My chili cheese fry burger was WAY over cooked. Chili had no seasoning. Chicken Ceaser salad was average at best. No parmesan crisps or really anything special to brighten the salad up. The Ugly: The pretzel bites have no pretzel salt at all and the Beer cheese dip was terrible. Would I come back?? Yes, to try more items from that awesome menu but I'll try the place next door before I return."

"I ordered chicken fried steak, over-medium eggs, pancakes, hash browns, and coffee. I was a bit dismayed to be served vegetable spread instead of real butter, as many people, including myself, prefer the latter. The pancakes were overly sweet due to the added sugar in the batter, which was off-putting. The chicken fried steak was particularly disappointing; it was clearly not fresh, as the batter sat awkwardly on the meat and the texture was chewy. The coffee was mediocre at best and had a sour taste, possibly due to the old coffee containers that looked like they were from the 1970s. To top it all off, the waitress placed my bill on the table just a few minutes into my meal, which I found quite irritating—it's important to allow diners to enjoy their meal without feeling rushed. Overall, I left feeling very underwhelmed."

"I decided to give this restaurant a try, but I was very disappointed. The service was good; my waitress, although new and only on her second day, was polite and did her job well. I ordered the crab cake Benedict with hollandaise sauce and half-cooked grits. While the dish looked appealing, it had an odd taste. I managed to eat half of it, but as the flavor became stranger, I stopped eating. Unfortunately, after I left, I started to feel unwell. I had to pull over because the food had upset my stomach, and I’m relieved I did; otherwise, it would have been a disaster in my car. I won’t be returning, as the food made me quite ill. Moreover, while the restaurant has a nice exterior, the interior feels outdated and uninviting. Although the staff was courteous, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone."

"I initially found this sports bar on Snap maps when a person posted a video of a HUGE self-pour beer wall. I told my husband that we had to go because I?d never seen anything like it. Upon walking in, we were greeted by the friendly staff and seatedright away. Our waitress, Amber, was phenomenal. She was funny, kind, and overall great at her job. It was so fun for our groupto go up and pour our own beers from I think over 30 options on tap. The food was also phenomenal, the portions were perfect,and we really enjoyed the laid back, safe atmosphere here. (I think we stayed for two hours! The football game was on all ofthe TVs (and not playing obnoxiously loud either. Some bars in Lawton are grimey unsafe, but everything here has beenrenovated. The general manager, Justin, asked for our permission to FaceTime the owner, Mike, and give him some feedback on ourexperience. Both men have put TREMENDOUS time, work, and money into this sports bar? it shows! Mike took pride in his bar andreally wanted customers to have a great experience there. It was awesome to see his joy from our positive feedback. I highlyrecommend that people try this place out. It is not the same bar that it used to be, so disregard any negative reviews from longago. "Business was steady but not crowded. The wait staff were all smiling, kind and friendly. The food came out quickly and we all enjoyed our meals. A large Nachos salad, a kids jr premium chicken strip meal a Santa Fe Skillet meal. All were hot, cooked perfectly and tasty. We also had the mint shake the birthday cake shake. The mint tastes like you are eating an andes mint chocolate. The salad was fresh and tasty with a balsamic dressing. The wait staff was attententive and checked on us regularly. They also have a really nice set-up for the issues by putting clear plexiglass between all the booths and the silverware in a packet to make sure they haven't been handled by a million people. It was a very pleasant time."

"This was our first visit here, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype we saw in the Google reviews. We came in excited but left disappointed. To start with, we ordered the appetizer “Spare Parts” which was supposed to come with spicy ranch, but they gave us plain ranch instead. When we pointed it out, our server Terry apologized and was good with us. Then came the main issue—my husband’s burger. He simply requested no cream cheese, but what was served was just a plain patty and bun—no veggies, no sauces, no flavor, and definitely not what was described on the menu. We politely asked for the missing ingredients to be added, and he requested some fried onions. What they gave him was an overwhelming pile of greasy fried onions, almost like they were throwing attitude into the food. (See photos—we’re not exaggerating. My friend’s burger wasn’t any better—completely underwhelming. On top of that, the buns were cold and clearly not toasted or grilled, making the whole thing feel thrown together and far from the “Super Charged Burger” they promised. At $20 per burger, this was unacceptable. It felt like the staff didn’t care to understand our simple request. Either they give you nothing or they throw everything at you. "When we arrived it looked closed. Is 9 to early for breakfast? By 930 there were 5 more tables of people. The waiter was very good at his job. The drinks were great. The food was cooked perfectly. Yes, chicken fried steak was very good! They really need to clean up around the seating. The back of the chairs are caked with nastiness. That is all I have to say bad though. "I happened to be in the area, so I decided to check out this place based upon ratings. The food was really good! I went with two other people one had the avocado toast that also had pico de gallo on it and a side of hashbrowns. He loved it. The second person had the meat lovers omelet he said the flavor was great and it also came with extremely crispy hashbrowns. I had the migas that came with refried beans and tortillas (homemade, which is always a plus). It was really solid. I'd recommend trying it out if you're in the aread."

"We ordered delivery and unfortunately, everything was very disappointing. It was genuinely bad—none of the items I ordered were enjoyable. I really dislike giving negative reviews, but this experience was just terrible. The bacon was so overcooked that it crumbled if I even breathed on it. The biscuits and gravy were the only part of the meal that was somewhat edible, but they were severely lacking in salt and pepper, resulting in a flavorless experience—just dry biscuits and plain flour gravy. I had to add garlic salt and pepper to make it somewhat palatable, and I typically don’t over-season my food, so that really says something about how bland it was! The hash browns were soggy and wet, and the scrambled egg whites had the same issue—they both dripped water when I took a forkful. It was quite unappetizing. Clearly, they had been frozen, which is fine, but they weren't thawed or cooked properly because they were still so wet! As for the steak, it was overwhelmingly salty and comprised about 70% fat, making it inedible. I've never encountered such a terrible steak before. I'm genuinely sorry to say this, but this breakfast was awful. I couldn't eat about 75% of my meal. I hope this was just an off day for the restaurant, but the food was so inedible that I feel compelled to share my experience. "
