"After church, we were feeling hungry, and my husband suggested barbecue, so we decided to give this restaurant a try. We ordered the brisket, cheese and jalapeño sausage, smoked turkey, and catfish. Everything was absolutely delicious and melted in my mouth, especially the sauces! The turkey was the best I’ve ever had. The fried green tomatoes were also incredibly tender. The portion sizes were just right—not too large—allowing me to sample a variety of dishes."

"Really good, fresh food. Not the greatest location, but it's totally worth entering. Once you do, the staff greets you with warm smiles. Boss Lady and I ordered spicy pork and spicy basil beef, respectively. Started with their egg rolls, just ok but not bad. The main dishes are as spicy as you want them. Mild was a bit too spicy for Boss Lady (white girl . Ordered their house iced tea, very refreshing. We'll definitely come here again, soon! Service: Dine in"

"long overdue for this assessment. my wife and I thought a little date. many paints when we are stopped by opa is packed, with so great food it is hard to find them with tons empty tables. eating is good, the service is great and the owner puts his heart in everything he does. we really enjoyed ourselves and eating. I was a great fan of the Greek coffee, it is something they really zit and chew the mud at the end of the meal. great for a finish to a great meal."

"Staff was sweet and polite, but the amount and quality of the food was mediocre. I got the combo fajita and the amount of meat given was the size of hand and I small hands. I even asked if the plate was enough for 2 people and I was told yes. Paying for a$16.50 plate of food and it's barely going to fill me up. The caso dip was watery and I got stale chips. Not happy."

"It takes a lot to get a 5-Star Rating nowadays but this place earned it. Last Friday night, we were staying in Garland and wanted to go to some unique locally owned/operated eatery. Bankhead Brewing looked good and we arrived there just before 7 PM. They don't take reservations, it was cold (February) and there was a 45-minute wait. So we waited and so did couple after couple and we eventually got our table and server and from there on the specialty beers, food, and service was great! I asked what customers raved about and ordered the meatloaf which was well-presented and quite filling. My wife took the other recommendation of the chicken-fried-chicken and again, well-presented, tasty and more than filling. They had some great looking specials but we stuck with the customer faves for our first visit. While the desert menu was good, they had an off-the-menu strawberry shortcake that was fantastic! Out the door, I believe that we spent around $75 for two specialty beers, entrees, desert, tax, and 20% tip. I would recommend this place for that somewhat special night out and it appears that quite a few people used this place as a group night out."
