"my man and I eat here all the time, we are both incredibly picky when it comes to sushi and quality. that is an excellent restaurant and the fish is always fresh. also they are almost always right when it comes to estimated time for pickup take. it is really amazing how exactly they are not getting it after it was said 30 minutes to find out that sushi has been sitting there for 20 minutes. it's getting almost right out when we walk in the door. I'm going there now, I want to know why?"

"My husband and I have been here many times. We especially like their roti canai, which is great. Our experience has usually been great but the reason for lower rating today is that I feel cheated by them. We were just 2 people and yet they decided to add 22% tip to our bill on their own in the electronic system and the waiter sneeked the itemized bill quickly so I couldn’t question him. The waiter who served us was not attentive at all and took several minutes to take our orders or to pay attention to us while we waved our hands at him as he said the kitchen was closing in 7 min so we wanted to add 1 more item before they closed. I would still have tipped them well if I was given the fair chance to add a tip of my choice. However, adding tip without asking us seems unethical to me given that they have not mentioned anywhere on their menu that a standard tip is added to the final check for any party size. I’m not sure if this was the waiter being sneeky or the restaurant but we were disappointed."

"The service was average and the decor was very nice...but the quality of food was a bit subpar. We had the golden chicken ramen with an extra side of pork belly along with the teriyaki salmon. The ramen was like chicken noodle soup with a thin broth. The egg was overcooked and...the side of pork belly was also overcooked. My Gordon Ramsey senses tell me that for something to be that hot yet that dry, with a rubbery texture where the outside perimeter is darker from uneven cooking..it was thrown in the microwave. (Think of when you cook leftover steak in the microwave for too long. Aside from that, the plate it was served on was just as hot as the side of pork belly that was sitting on it so they were obviously both in the microwave. Anyway, probably one of the top worst ramen bowls that I have had. The salmon teriyaki was good, but not enough for me to forget the disappointment of the ramen. Won't be trying this place again."

"The manager at Dokyo Dauntaun greeted us in a very rude manner. We had originally made a reservation for 8 people, but three of them could not make it. I called twice that day to inform them that we would be a party of five instead. The manager was extremely rude, arguing that we would need to pay a $20 no-show fee for the guests who did not come. Despite us being physically present, she insisted on the fee until finally agreeing to waive it just this once. Despite the restaurant being mostly empty on a Sunday night, she seated us in the dark back room next to the restroom instead of at our reserved table. After one drink, we asked for the check and left to dine elsewhere. We will not be returning to Dokyo Dauntaun due to the unreasonable and unprofessional treatment we received from this manager."

"We started with sushi appetizers, enjoyed a cocktail, and ordered hibachi entrées. When we requested water, we were offered a choice between tap and bottled options. While kosher dining can be quite pricey, this is to be expected, and the prices here are comparable to other kosher hibachi restaurants. Plus, you find the same or higher prices for kosher steak elsewhere. It was also nice to see the Mashgichim placing the meat directly on the hibachi grills. Typically, you don’t see the Mashgichim in restaurants, so it was reassuring to know they are actively involved in ensuring the proper handling of your meal. Given that hibachi is so entertaining for children, I hope they consider adding a children's menu. We had to order an adult meal for my child, but the leftovers will definitely be enjoyed tomorrow! Having moved to New Jersey from New York about two years ago, we have pretty high standards when it comes to dining, and I can confidently say that Takara did not disappoint!"

"This is a great place. The atmosphere was nice, the music was cute and the food was delicious. The prices were fair. The staff was friendly and the drinks gave you a buzz but they didnt get you drunk which was great. We got Hibachi chicken and shrimp. Which came with fried rice and noodles, clear soup, salad, and fried shrimp. We also got a Mango Chicken Entre, which came with white rice, salad, and miso soup. For app, we got edamame and salmon rolls and the sushi has to be one of the best I have tasted. For drinks we hot a Mai Tai- Yellow and a Passion Fruit.... something.. at the beginning they were very strong. But we were able to easily get used to it. In regards to COVID guide lines, I felt safe. We were away from people and there are deciders between each booth. 1 year Update- masks are not required and the food and drinks are still amazing"

"Just great all around will return when I'm on main street again, I was in the area handling some business so I decided to get something to take out from dragon city I seen a homeless guy in that area laying down on the ground so I went into dragon city and got that feeling of helping someone so I bought the homeless guy a medium size chicken fried rice and I bought myself a shrimp fried rice have it to him and told him to have a great day he thanked me and I went on my way It doesn't cost anything to be nice to someone less fortunate than you!!!!!"

"Made reservation. Received Text to confirm reservation. Walked in and was told No Reservation. Next time you should call . Was seated at habachi table. No one asked why we were there. When we ordered sushi we were moved to another room. Love Boat was ok. Not great, BUT price was appropriate to the quality of the sushi. Table service was good. No problems I use Open Table to save time. We were an early evening/late afternoon reservation and we arrived early. We were seated after being told we didn 't have a reservation. I won 't go back."

"this place has been well over a decade. it was always a fixed place for the standard vegan sushi (vegan roll, avocado roll, etc). about a year or so before, they added the vegan hulk roll that is good. they have different other items that are either vegan, or can be vegan modified: sticky frits, edamame, edamame hummus, miso suppe, ano solitary, mixed vegetables, and sautéed spade (used to spinat, but the change to spade). hibachi fried rice can be made vegan, just don't forget to leave the eggs. they can also be veganized soba or udon nude dishes. this CWE location is an ideal place to hang out, especially during warmer weather months. Note that there was a recent price hike, with some directed jumps up to $8 more!"

"The only reason they’re not getting 5 stars is because we made a reservation for 9 pm and we didn’t get seated until 9:20 even though the entire party was there at 9 and we even had to ask twice if our table was ready before they finally started clearing our table that had been empty for a while. "I visited Shogun 3 for my dad's birthday with a group of 7. Dad was excited for his first hibachi show, and we were happily watching the older chef cook for 2 other tables. While the younger hibachi chef cooked extremely quickly, we were disappointed by the lack of entertainment and interaction no food toss into mouth, no egg juggling, the onion fire lasted only a second, any any of the normal gimmicks. It felt incredibly rushed and was just him cooking on a flat top. One order our Shogun Special order was incomplete. The waitress wrote it down correctly on the slip. After i pointed out we were missing an order, chicken and 3 shrimps were added. After everyone received their meals, I realized the steak was missing for the Shogun Special had to point this out again. Towards the end, my brother's steak was cooked after we had mostly finished eating, causing him to box his food. The experience fell disappointingly short for the $306 (w. Tip) we spent, and we were hoping for more flair and fun in the performance."

"We ordered sushi rolls,I love the tuna,my wife is a vegetarian, so there were several options, however we didn't say there was a vegetarian. It arrived on time, but as my wife was un packing, her two vegetarian handrolls were next to a fish. She called, a bit nasty to start,but someone quickly diffused her, told her not to worry, and in 15min, we had 3 individual replacements. Absolutely up and beyond to get a replacement that fast. My wife felt awful she was a bit rude to start, she wanted to call and apologize but it wasn't that bad really. I didn't just give 5 stars just for that, the spicy tuna rolls,and fried pork dumplings were very good. I'm not sure if you can make fresh Wasabi or not,but their's is so strong w a fresh,moist consistency that will melt your face if your not careful, I personally love it. My only criticism would be the slight need for some,or more rice wine vinegar in the roll's rice."

"This restaurant is always amazing whenever we go. The cooking is always spot on, entertaining and worth every penny. The portions are huge so I always have a to go and lunch for work. Great place to take kids because they do things like a volcano and train with the vegetables while cooking and some of the chefs even catch eggs in their hats. "I understand that the restaurant is closing, which may explain the limited staff on hand. Our reservation was for 1:00 PM, but we weren't seated until 1:15 PM, making us wait over 20 minutes. Despite the lack of other customers, the phones were ringing without anyone answering, and the host/hostess stand was unattended. We didn't receive any explanation for the delay, just that they were "working on it." Our server didn't offer any drink refills, even when we asked, and we ended up leaving without them. As we were exiting, we were provided with plenty of boxes and bags. Regrettably, they were out of their signature yum yum sauce, which was quite disappointing. Overall, this was a frustrating experience, especially with the restaurant's impending closure."

"I visited Mizzu Asian Bistro on a Thursday evening with colleagues for a work lunch. I was happy to see a variety of menu options and appreciated that hibachi was available at regular tables. The restaurant was fairly empty, which is understandable given the current circumstances, so the service was a bit slow. There was some confusion, as a few people at our table initially received the wrong orders, and some of us ended up with the wrong leftovers by the end of the night. Nevertheless, the food was tasty, the drinks were enjoyable, the portions were generous, and the prices fair. Despite the service hiccups, I would still recommend dining here."
