"We started with sushi appetizers, enjoyed a cocktail, and ordered hibachi entrées. When we requested water, we were offered a choice between tap and bottled options. While kosher dining can be quite pricey, this is to be expected, and the prices here are comparable to other kosher hibachi restaurants. Plus, you find the same or higher prices for kosher steak elsewhere. It was also nice to see the Mashgichim placing the meat directly on the hibachi grills. Typically, you don’t see the Mashgichim in restaurants, so it was reassuring to know they are actively involved in ensuring the proper handling of your meal. Given that hibachi is so entertaining for children, I hope they consider adding a children's menu. We had to order an adult meal for my child, but the leftovers will definitely be enjoyed tomorrow! Having moved to New Jersey from New York about two years ago, we have pretty high standards when it comes to dining, and I can confidently say that Takara did not disappoint!"

Woman and I had a great dinner there. Everyone is so beautiful and the food is delicious. We want to get our family there. If you've never had Hibachi, it's worth the experience.

The staff is friendly and the management is very nice, especially since they offer a special hibachi menu for vegans. We started with the vegan shrimp poke bowl as an appetizer, and it was absolutely delicious. For the main course, we ordered the vegan shrimp, and both the beef and vegan scallops were fantastic in flavor. We loved everything and will definitely return to try more vegan specialties, thanks to Takara!

Whenever I personally go the place is dead which is fabulous because our food comes out very quickly. The sushi and sashimi are always fresh and presented in a beautiful form. Their koifish pond with bonsai is a beautiful relaxing view especially with the waterfall built in it. This place has a full bar as well and their cocktails are delish. Overall I love their food, the speedy service and the atmosphere. Totally recommend dining in as they also have hibachi. View menu

"Average BBQ for touristy prices. Protein is certainly on every hungry hiker's mind after a day in Yosemite, and we made a point to come here for dinner based on previous reviews. Look for the two story sky blue lodge style building. Fair number of parking spaces, shared with some other businesses in the plaza. The place is smaller than the building suggests, with the counter and dining space taking up maybe half of the building's first floor. The door puts you directly in front of the order counter and kitchen, and staff were peppy and friendly. Order meat from the first employee, sides from the second, and get your drinks from the register person who will ring you up. The whole process is pretty efficient, and though we were initially told the brisket was out, someone brought out a giant slab of brisket right before we were about to order. Ambiance is sort of a once charming saloon sticky linoleum tables and chairs, with old country hits playing. I did like that each table was equipped with a roll of paper towels and original as well as spicy house BBQ sauce. Would probably try to eat on the porch next time in ambient weather. We got a half pound each of brisket and smoked sausage, and a half rack of ribs. Complemented by broccoli salad and mac n' cheese. Everything was pretty meh. Brisket, despite being as fresh as we could have gotten it, was dry and the flavor had been cooked out of it. Even though it had a nice smoke ring, there was no juice to each bite and I had to swab it in BBQ sauce to help it go down. Similarly, the ribs had a nice glaze but didn't have fall off the bone quality. Sausage was, well, sausage. Sides were okay (good portion size), with the broccoli salad being a nice variety of apples, slaw, and raisins, but the mac n' cheese was saved only by the bacon bits on top (optional). Not sure if we came on an off day but would be shocking to go 0 for 3 in meats at a dedicated BBQ restaurant."
