"Great experience at Hooked for Valentines. Everyone from the host to the servers were super friendly and seemed to be enjoying their work. Food was delicious. We enjoyed the flounder, shrimp scallop wontons with a bite of ginger. The flounder was cooked perfectly with a nice sauce and capers. Be sure to try the pimento cheese grits. They’re a nice take on boring ole cheddar grits. Key Lime pie rounded out the meal with a zing. Freddie was our server and he was terrific. Very personable, was able to offer culinary commentary for us in the meal, and gave us some visitors recommendations to boot. Fun evening in a fun atmosphere with delicious food. Reservations suggested!"

"Honestly, this place doesn't get the attention it deserves. The food is fantastic, the service is solid, and the vibe is quite enjoyable. If I had to point out a downside, I've occasionally found my food to be a bit greasy, but that doesn’t happen often. Also, if you're dining with a large group, make sure to double-check your order before you start eating. No restaurant is perfect, but overall, this place is still great!"

"This is one of the worst restaurants I have been to. They don't know and can't read their own menu. They don't know what some of the food is on their menu. Service is nonexistent and annoying. Kid-friendliness: Terrible and expensive options for their kids menu. Wheelchair accessibility: Way too tight for a wheelchair."

"My friend and I had another excellent meal at J. Razzo's. It was a sad occasion, since it may be the last time we dine there before they close. We've enjoyed so many delicious meals there, and the service is always friendly and attentive. We're really going to miss J. Razzo's and wish Mr. Perazzo the best in the coming days, hoping he will find another venue."

"This restaurant is only open for dinner, and its price point is aimed directly at customers on a budget. However, the portion sizes are smaller than average. The decoration is lacking and nothing special."

"I visited Calico County with my husband and his parents last month! I’ve been to the restaurant several times, and this is my first review. Calico County is a staple of home cooking in the River Valley! It’s one of the places I take my family and friends when they visit from out of state! My husband really likes their hand-breaded, chicken tenders. I like to order the vegetable plate!! I ordered mashed potatoes with brown gravy, fried okra, black eyed peas, and turnip greens. Everything was so good! The special thing about Calico County is that they bring out cinnamon rolls before your meal!! Our server was very kind and attentive. The atmosphere is welcoming and homey. You can tell that they have taken a lot of intentionality in piecing together the decor in the restaurant. It feels very nostalgic! Thank you to the Calico County team for providing an overall positive experience!"

"The roast beef was tasty. However, the potato pancakes were not the genuine, light, and fluffy kind I expected; they were dense and had too much filler, lacking any real potato flavor. The applesauce was enjoyable, and the baked potato knish was quite good as well. The soup was acceptable, but if you're seeking a comforting, homemade Jewish remedy, this soup won't satisfy; it was too salty and didn’t have enough chicken flavor. On the bright side, the matzo ball was nice."

"Service here is horrible. Spent 15 minutes waiting in the drive thru line with only 2 cars in front of me. Then another 15 to 20 minutes waiting in the parking lot for my food. All I ordered was 2 biscuits and gravy, 3 hashbrowns and a sandwich. They charged me for 3 hashbrowns but I only got one after waiting all that time. The employee's here don't seem to care about customer service, speed or accuracy. Been to this location multiple times in the past and service is always bad. Will never be coming back to this location."

The cozy and inviting atmosphere makes it an ideal place for a relaxed meal with friends or family. The menu features a diverse selection of flavorful plates, including their outstanding hummus, perfectly seasoned chicken shawarma, and delectable kafta. The portion sizes are generous, so you’re sure to leave feeling full and satisfied. The staff is both friendly and attentive, enhancing the welcoming dining experience. Whether you’re a regular patron or visiting for the first time, you’ll be treated like family. If you’re on the hunt for fresh and flavorful Middle Eastern cuisine in Michigan, Aloumara Mid-Eastern Cuisine is definitely worth a visit."

"We made a last minute reservation and ended up sitting at a high top in the small bar. It was great! The service was a little bit slow, but we don't mind that! We actually like it, we can enjoy our time more and don't feel rushed. We never felt forgotten, just a slower pace! The mimosa's were typical mimosas but good and strong! Just a dash of OJ! The food was delicious! I had the Eggs Benedict (one of my eggs actually slide off as it was being brought to the table so they had to make me another. This actually worked out great because by the time I was finished eating the first one, two piping hot new ones came out from the kitchen! My husband had the hot brown and it was huge! I did not get a taste but he said it was delicious and ate every bite! We will definitely go back to Tousey House and highly recommend it to others!"

"Time to say goodbye. We have been going to the Farmington Hills location since 2006, (when they first opened). It has been a family favorite since then. However…….over the past year, our family has seen and tasted a distinct transition, from authentic to mass produced and unauthentic. To be specific, 1st the bread changed, then the rice and the final straw, the hummus.I know with Covid, the supply chain became challenging, coupled with increased costs for food, but when a company departs from what made them special (the flavors), it leaves us feeling undervalued and disappointed. We are deeply sorry that La Marsa has integrated these new sub-par products, as they pale in comparison to what we had previously grown to love.Wishing the La Marsa family well, but it will be without our support unfortunately."

"What a let down after hearing great things about this place. Dunes outside on the patio which had no view at all and no music, just noise from the air conditioning vents. Service was fine but the food was fair a best with steaks more like that from an “Outback Steakhouse” rather than anything fancy. A typical tourist hotel restaurant which was good value on the Monday night special but I wouldn’t return, even on a Monday."

"Went with family, order two to go boxes once I got there, at 5 p.m. left at 7:15 still no to-go orders. I made myself a salad but regretted it immediately. Everyone around us was being served but not our family. To the poster about the hush puppies, our table received something that I am guessing was hush puppies and they were awful. Maybe it was just an overly busy night or we hit the jackpot of dissatisfaction this evening. First and last trip to the restaurant. See"

"I went to check this place out after seeing their Monday spaghetti with meat sauce special posted in the Omaha Food Lovers group on Facebook. It's a little hole in the wall type bar hidden off of 16th in a residential area in Council Bluffs. A little loud inside, but clearly it's a go-to for locals. Couple of pool tables and a dart board. The food was good. For $7, you get a plate of spaghetti with meat sauce, garlic bread, and a side salad. The spaghetti was good, but their meat sauce was a little liquidy. It would be better if they thickened it up, and they had parmesan cheese to top it with. Their soup of the day was Zuppa Toscana like Olive Garden has, but obviously homemade instead of mass produced like OGs is. Very tasty, but a little bit more spicy. All of this including a drink was $13. Very good food, good prices. They had lots of daily specials and signs said they do breakfast all day, which is pretty cool. I will have to try and check them out another time."
