"We made reservations for an anniversary dinner. Ruth's Chris doesn't disappoint. Food was great, service was awesome and the ambiance was nice. This was a first visit to this location on LaCantera Parkway. Downside was my vehicle being broke into and ruining the rest of our evening plans. Signs said surveyed by camera - no necessarily true. The buildings are surveyed. Of course, not really the fault of Ruth's Chris but waiting an hour to report it since we live just outside SA was definitely a downer. Next time - UBER for sure."

"Not the same as the traditional Nordstrom’s Cafes I visited for over 30 years, and the one at the Perimeter for 28 years. My 2 girls I met the Perimeter location yesterday. They are now all grown-up but yet we were excited to go again all together. Sadly it just wasn’t the same. Our waitress must have been having a bad day. No smile and seemed very stressed. She returned to say they were out of many of the first things we ordered. I was still able to get what I always get there; Lobster Bisque Nicoise Salad. But the salad was just a salad with soggy wilted greens, no capers nor crisp green beans had odd-colored hard boiled eggs. And the bisque was lukewarm. Very sad disappointing. Hoping it was just a supply chain issue short-staffing problem ???"

"We went about an hour after the opening. The tomato soup came out like-warm, which means that they both do not make fresh; and they are not properly heated. I ordered a chicken salad that was advertised as roasted chicken, it wasn't, it was grilled. On the bowl of soup, an appetizer, a salad and a sandwich, $75 was very unimpressed. Wouldn't recommend."

"Anniversary dinner with our two children, 8 and 10. We decided to sit out on the porch on a fairly humid June evening and the ceiling fans made for a nice breeze. We find most restaurants to be overly air-conditioned, but Metro 8 didn't seem like a fridge even when we walked in - that's a huge plus for me! Our waitress was very nice and attentive without interfering. She noted that it was nice to see kids with books (and math in our conversation) instead of iPads. The steaks my husband and I ordered were as advertised and delicious. So were the pages. Our girls loved their grilled chicken. Cocktails were good and just the right strength. Highly recommended."

"The service and ambiance here was excellent. The menu was very well rounded. We got filet mignon and Royal Red Shrimp to share with salads, sauteed garlic mushrooms and baked potato. There were baskets of a variety of breads and two kinds of butter. Truffles were provided at the end of the meal. It was a beautiful dining experience!"

"This location is a hidden treasure. It has a very upscale feel to it while the location is set in a mall. The food is pretty good and the staff is very friendly. There is a great window view if you sit by it and it's nice and quiet. We only ran into one issue which was the cooks fault and not anyone else's. My wife ordered a sandwich without avocado because she is allergic. When the order came our server noticed that it had avocado on it as he set it down. He quickly apologized and took it back. The cooks in the back just wiped it off the sand which and sent it back out. When we received it there was still smeared avocado on the sandwich where the cooks knife didn't get it off. I asked for them to remake it because it still had the avocado on it lol. Other than the lazy cook the location and staff was great"

"The waiter left a lot to be desire. He acted in a flippish manner. Maybe he thinks he is funny. Failed to bring my soup when my wife received hers. I mentioned this and said it's too late and i no longer wanted it. Apparently, he was nor really listening to me because he brought a cup of soup anyway and it was not the kind I originally ordered. I was upset but ate it anyway. It was my wife's birthday, and we expected a pleasant evening. When I made the reservation, I mentioned it was a birthday occasion. The staff never gave my wife any recognition of the occasion. Our visit was anything but pleasant."

"I arrived ahead of my guests and requested a separate check from the waitress. When I placed my order, I asked for iced tea with lemon on the side. However, the waitress brought ice (which I didn't ask for) and the lemon was floating in the tea. At the end of the meal, she presented the bill to the male guest at the table, which was quite embarrassing, especially since I had ordered the most expensive item and intended to pay for it myself. The most important skill for a waitress is to listen, and she clearly didn’t!"
