"We have loved the BD up until this last visit. We go ther because they are typically allergy friendly. My wife has gluten and dairy allergies. The food is usually wonderful and the staff is responsive. This visit, we informed our server of the issues. Sadly, my wife received her meal with a bun and her salad had cheese on it. They fixed the sandwich, but my wife didn’t discover the cheese until she had eaten some. We even asked the server if she was confident the egg on the salad did not have blue cheese in it. We spoke with manager and he comped my wife’s meal, but I was less concerned about that than my wife being sick for a week plus. I know staffing is particularly difficult now, but when it comes to food and patron safety there should not be any shortcuts"

"The atmosphere was good, the noise level was ok, the food was missing. The service was very good, nice waiters and reception! The sweetness of the sauces in our Mexican food was very different and not good! Even the salsa for the fries was more like spaghetti. How do you mess up something simple like salsa? We think the worst was the enchilada sauce, sweet sauce, cinnamon doesn't go with enchiladas, I don't care if it's California, it doesn't taste good, sorry !!!!!!"

"We were three adults with two (nicely dressed and well mannered) kids at 5 in the evening on a Sunday. The restaurant was 1/2 empty and the rude hostess shoved us at a tall bar table in between a service station and the kitchen door. After asking someone other than the hostess were moved to a regular table. The waitstaff was either overwhelmed or just terribly trained. Service took forever, orders were wrong, and the music was unnecessarily loud. BBQ brisket tasted like it was pounded with a mallet and soaked in liquid smoke. The one good thing I can say about this place is that the onion rings were incredible."

ALL dishes taste very similar! All with burnt burn marks on "whatever" meat, mixed with similar spices and all well done to finish cooking. The burned cremation, like a fajitas, but for every dish? This is the second time that I had to come here with the same results ... I refuse the next time I am invited ... Maybe have a drink because the mood is good and fun ... she just need better cooks ..."

"This is a great little find. It was recommended by hotel staff, and they were not wrong. We stopped for lunch, ordered and had something happen and we had to leave. Waitress said no problem I will cancel your order. We got done what was needed and headed back for lunch. Sat down and same Waitress walked over and asked if we wanted the same order as earlier. We said yes, she placed the order perfectly an hour and a half later. She remembered us. Food was outstanding, burger was cooked to perfection. The toppings were a perfect balance of flavors that melded together producing one of the best burgers I have ever had. My partners sandwich was perfectly put together and tasted even better. The support staff were attentive to our needs, the wait staff was amazing. Broad menu of food choices. Everyone in the restaurant had a smile on their face. So it's that good. Try it, you will like it!"

Check all times when reserving party sizes and times. An earlier time may make the difference in being inside vs outside on the patio. There is a fireplace but it can be cooler on the patio. "we met our daughters and their men here since they were in the hotel. I had great hopes, but eating was a break. my salat had so much dressing I couldn't finish it. I wish I had ordered the dressing on the side! my salmon was boiled properly, but the calabic chili cream mais was practically tasteless. the pasta of fruta del mar and sent it back. it was too fishy and it was lacking seasoning. the tenderloin was boiled properly and seasoned well, but at $58 it was not worth it. the personal was attentive and the restaurant itself was tastefully decorated. it's just sad that eating was so disappointing."

"Booked an early dinner, wanted to check this place out for a while. Having read some of the reviews, I was a little reluctant, but we were promptly seated. Ordered drinks, the bar was a little slow, but nothing to complain about. My wife ordered the steak salad, which was good. I ordered the prime burger and sweet potato fries and a salad. Burger was really good, two patties cooked to order, they brought fries instead of the sweets, but they corrected the mistake and the sweet potato fries were tasty. Would have been better hot. The salad was fresh with two big strips of bacon. Overall the food, service and ambiance of the restaurant was between fair and good. Might give them another shot, but wouldn't rush back."

"The restaurant has a lovely ambiance, and our server Jason was fantastic! However, we were greatly disappointed with the food, especially considering the prices. The appetizers were decent, but as a steakhouse, the steaks were far from satisfactory. They were both quite thin, loaded with fat, and had a lot of gristle. The baked potato was enormous but didn’t impress. The bacon bits on it were so hard that we were concerned about damaging our teeth! The asparagus was hot on the outside but cold on the inside. Given that this place has a 4.5 rating, we expected the steaks to justify the cost. Notably, the price of each steak (ranging from $30 to $45) does not include sides, which are an additional $8 each. I don't mind spending a fair amount on excellent food, but I can't justify spending money—big or small—on disappointing meals. We cannot recommend this restaurant."

"Although our reservation through Open Table never showed up in the restaurant's list, the overall experience at Gingambó was positive. The food was good. Nevertheless it seems that the restaurant is understaffed. There was a long wait in the pasta station and the seafood station lacked an attendant. Even though we waited for a while for someone to serve us at the seafood station, the servers that came along seemed to be busy and ignored our presence. Eventually we left the station without getting any service. That is not good for customers attending a seafood buffet for a special occasion"

"The wait staff was rude and may have spit in my food. My wife and I went here for dinner. She ordered crab legs and I ordered crab cakes. It would have been the most l have ever spent on dinner for just the two of us but it was our anniversary so we decided to splurge. My wife 's food came out first or so we thought. After the waitress set her plate down she turned to the table next to us and asked the guy sitting there if he ordered crab cakes. He replied no . Then she asked if he touched the plate of crab cakes that had been sitting in front of him. He again replied no . She then took the plate from in front of him and set it in front of me. I have no idea how long it sat in front of him. It was at least 5-10 minutes. I don 't know why he never told the wait staff it wasn 't his. Most importantly I don 't know if he sneezed, coughed, or spit when he talked, all while this plate was in front of him. I politely asked if I could have a new plate as I didn 't want to eat that one after being served to someone else first. The waitress said nothing, just took the plate and sighed loudly. A little while later she returned with a new plate. She slammed it down in front of me while again saying nothing, turned quickly and made a humpf sound. At this point it was rude but not enough to ruin my evening. As I was about to start eating I noticed what looked like dried spit. As if one of the crab cakes had been spit on while cooking. To be honest I don 't know what spit would look like if it were cooked into a crab cake, but there was definitely something on one of them. Also a potato was in the crab cake dipping sauce and had been pushed pushed down in. So the plated was undoubtedly tampered with. What is most concerning is the fact that this had to have been done by a cook. Meaning more than one person was in on it. I can 't remember ever asking to see a manager before in my life but in this case I had to. He handled it as well as he could. I obviously didn 't reorder anything else. I 'll never eat there again and crab cakes are now ruined for me. While posting this I see there 's other negative reviews regarding the wait staff being rude. Seems it 's an on going problem. My recommendation is to steer clear of this place."

"we haven't been here yet, but a few days ago some friends had stopped. my wife found a groupon and thought why not, although she has a serious gluten allergy. we ordered the hummus for a starter with my beer and her coffee. when we enjoyed the appetizers, I really loved the flight of all 8 of their beers. we decided to dinner. I had the Cubano sandwich and thought it was great. my wife ordered the northern egg salad and it looked fantastic, no rehearsals for me. I consider myself a beer lover (my friends call me a beerschnaps) and can honestly say I really liked the selection of the beer here. my favorites were the succulent pale ale and the west coast ipa. the bartender told us they will soon add wine to their menu, which will make my wife happy. we loved it and will bring friends next time."
