"The GM never answered our email or recognized our TripAdvisor review HighPoints: the view outside, Héctor who tried his best to make a special Valentine 's with a normal outdoor bar menu Low Points: all the lovely expensive drinks served in cloudy PLASTIC glasses, though we are far from the sea and far from the pool who serves bottled champagne drinks in plastic for Valentine 's Day in a restaurant? St Regis does! NO reference to Valentine 's Day anywhere at this luncheon event for friends that cost $700USD the birds constantly landing on tables and unafraid of dogs, children, and diners; the complete disregard for Valentine 's Day with NO mention on menu, no special desserts, no Valentine 's welcome on the table, and no Valet welcome for the Valentine 's Day; security greets at main entrance us with Are you staying here? ... perhaps a good afternoon and welcome to our property..... are you a guest or a visiting tourist with a reservation? ; filthy, unkept bathrooms behind the restaurant (see photos) Our server Hector told us the pastry chef would come to our table as he was close by (and he NEVER EVER came to our table) as we wanted to inquire about the Strawberry Eton Mess (which was just a soup no meringue or ice cream or anything even matching the description) and the Chocolate Lava (which came overbaked and cold) ; they were OUT of Panna Cotta on Valentine 's Day with no special desserts either; a buggy brought us from Valet parking to the restaurant; when we asked about a buggy to take us back to the front with our 91 year old guest with a cane, the boy at the sunscreen shop said it 's better for you to walk, and I don 't have a phone here. I went back to the restaurant and they phoned a buggy immediately HOW DO YOU MESS UP DESSERTS ON VALENTINE 'S DAY FOR FIVE? THE SAINT REGIS DEFINITELY DID! Unique Points: the view of rough Atlantic, the far walk to the parking; The Big 3: Food: mediocre Service: appropriate Ambience: no music, wild birds,"

"Been going to SideBar for a very, very long time. I have to say that this was the worst dining/sports watching experience I have ever encountered I arrived at SideBar Friday evening, September to watch the World Cup of Hockey, USA vs Canada. I called in advance to make sure the restaurant would have the game on they confirmed, no audio, but still OK Upon arriving at the restaurant, and being the first one there, I was seated at a table with a poor viewing angle. I had already requested that the TV I had to stare up at be changed to the hockey game, which it was. Due to the fact that the viewing angle was so poor, I asked if we could move our table to the back side of the bar, where the lounge tables were located (and completely empty). Our hostess agreed, and moved me along with a few other friends that joined us Here comes the fun part. Once we were seated, I asked that our TV right next to the table be changed to the hockey game, the server complied and went over to whoever was in charge of the TV. She came back a minute later and informed us that this individual wouldn't change the channel because we already asked him to do so on the other side of the restaurant and that he wouldn't do it again...We thought she was kidding, but she wasn't. We repeatedly asked (and eventually he did change the TV all the way across from where we were sitting on small, hard to view TV), but were denied by this person while at the same time other groups had asked to change the channel and he willingly did so for them. We eventually closed out our tab after being there for just minutes. This had nothing to do with our servers, just the ONE specific individual at the restaurant who found it completely difficult to click two buttons on a remote control and please customers who were ready to dine and drink for the next couple of hours I WILL STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO MY FRIENDS THAT THEY NO LONGER COME TO THIS BAR for any sporting event."

"Very sad to see a once loved gourmet burger place make the slow decline into a college dive bar. Our lunch order was simple: 2 burgers with fries, 2 glasses of water with lemon, and an order of chips and queso. We were there for an hour and 35 minutes, most of it waiting on food. It took our waiter 15 minutes to acknowledge us and get drink orders. You can't screw up water but the lemons were old and mushy. We ordered the appetizer with the drinks and it took 40 minutes to get us a bowl rainbow colored chips and a styrofoam cup of microwaved queso. During that time the waiter never came back, didn't refill drinks, nothing. At 55 minutes we flagged him down and said we were going to have to leave. He asked if we wanted to go boxes for food we hadn't even gotten yet. 5 minutes later he brought over one burger which was prepared properly but had burned fries. My burger came with fries missing and no toppings on the burger. I sent it back and asked for the check, paying only for what we ate. They didn't charge us for the second burger but offered no concession on the other items or apology. We paid and left. Total time there was 1 hour and 35 minutes and I went home without having eaten lunch. Overall the restaurant is dirty, busted up sheetrock, peeling paint, stains on the walls and floors, and the bathrooms desperately need remodeling. I used to eat here 4+ times a year but I'm afraid I won't be going back again. Very sad."
