"This was our first time dining at the restaurant, but we learned they are planning to close on August 27th. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We had the house salad, caramelized Brussels sprouts, and the pancetta arugula pizza—all of which were excellently prepared. The service was good, but it felt like our waiter was responsible for covering most of the tables. He took our orders and delivered to other tables as well. We nearly decided to cancel a second glass of wine that we had ordered before the pizza, but it didn’t arrive until after we had finished eating. We are sad to see the uptown park location closing, and we hope to visit again in the future."

"Worst service I've ever had in a restaurant. We arrived with our confirmed reservation, and were told they had a private party, and could not take us. They offered nothing, no recommendation, nothing. Then I saw both of my parents had fallen. The handicap ramp was broken and pieces of cement were missing. Their walkers got stuck. We asked for the manager, who took information and offered to make us a reservation for the next day with a $25 gift card. We accepted. The next day, we arrived and they said the reservation didn't count, there was another list to go on once we showed up. It would be a 30 minute wait, with no place to sit. My parents couldn't stand for a half hour. So much for service. We left again, never to return. The serious lack of business sense tells me this place will not be around much longer, and I hope I'm right. Shame on you, Mike's."

"This place is great. We had the Turkish breakfast and Brussels waffle and both were delicious. They also offer Turkish coffee which was great to have with breakfast. All the desserts looked great, and we will definitely be coming back to try some of their sandwiches and paninis. Great place also to stop by for some Turkish coffee or tea and dessert! Truly recommend."

"We had two fantastic experiences at Martin's Happy Hour. The martinis and other drinks were available at half price, but what really impressed us were the delicious appetizers at half price as well. The lamb chops, Waldorf salad, and bratwurst were particularly memorable. This is definitely a must-visit during Happy Hour!"

"Our waitress seemed to want to be somewhere else. It was our first time there she seated us, brought our drinks, and got lost for about 20mns. My husband had to keep getting her attention by raising his hand (he dislikes doing that). The other waiters seemed to be a lot better. If you do get her, you have to ask for everything down to a plate to eat off of. The pizza was great and was served hot. The wings are good if expecting them to be hot in flavor they are not the spinach dip appetizer, which was fantastic. I recommend and hope you get a waiter"

"We went based on many recommendations as a great Seattle brunch destination. As brunch connoisseurs, I don't feel as our experience justified the high rating. I thought the service was friendly, but mediocre. The waitstaff didn't notice we were out of drinks and water, and didn't stop by the check in for a majority of the visit. When they did check in, they only inquired about one member of the party's beverage, even though we all had empty glasses. The two gentlemen on staff didn't acknowledge us for a long time when we first arrived. I noticed there were other groups that also weren't acknowledged. It's possible they are used to a host(ess) and didn't quite understand how to step up to the plate during their absence."

"Really an enjoyable dinner experience! Quality food, good value wine with good service. The menu is interesting and everything we had was well executed. The only reason I’m not giving Marker 32 five stars for food and ambiance are admittedly pretty marginal. As far as ambiance its just a shame that such a beautiful setting on the water doesnt offer any alfresco dining. Would be spectacular! As far as food, my entree was a standing special with hoppin john and dirty rice offered with fresh catch of the day. The seasoning was not optimal and although very good to eat, it lacked some seasoning that could have made it outstanding. My wife ordered the other special with a different fresh catch and THAT meal was a 5 star meal. Interesting and very delicious."

"The Fishwife used to be a premier restaurant. The last two Door Dash orders from here have been subpar. Tonight I ordered Chicken Piccata and clam chowder . The chicken dish arrived cold, lacked in flavor and the chicken was cold and dry. The clam chowder was HORRIBLE, as well. Not only was it cold but, the clams were tough and it was bland in flavor. I remember when their chowder was one of the best on the Monterey Peninsula. I will not need a strike three. This will be the last time I order from The Fishwife!"

"The tortellini arrived far too quickly—within just two minutes of ordering. It had a taste of burnt garlic, and the pasta was dry and hard. We also ordered the pasta frutti di mare and the wild boar. The pasta was decent, with the shrimp being the standout—well-seasoned and cooked perfectly. The scallop was large but rather bland, and the pasta itself was overly seasoned. Just like the tortellini, the sauce tasted of burnt garlic. For the wild boar, I ordered it medium rare but received it more well-done. It was the best tasting dish of the night, but the garlic sauce accompanying it also had that burnt flavor. It was a lovely touch for the restaurant to bring me a plate of sampler desserts for my birthday—very sweet of them, and I appreciated it! Unfortunately, despite those nice gestures, the overall experience was quite disappointing. I found it overpriced for what we received, and I personally wouldn’t recommend it to friends and family."

"Sweet life is amazing! I have been buying my family's birthday cakes for a couple of years now. The staff is wonderful, always willing to go the extra step to make your order absolutely perfect for you. You get to pick the time that you want it done, and everything about it. Their staff is obviously very dedicated and love their jobs, it shows in everything they do. I will keep going here for years to come. It is one of my favorite local Eugene businesses!"

"A friend from Westchester (NY) had gifted me several almond cookies years ago, pre pandemic. Although I loved the cookies, at the time, I felt that I couldn’t justify the trip. I live in Bergen County (NJ) and although I had not ventured to the Bakery, i never forgot how incredible those cookies were. I had had some BTW items purchased at Whole Foods but they weren’t the same (although I do adore the Madelines from there). This Saturday, the stars aligned and my husband I made it to the shop in Hastings. OH MY! We purchased a bunch of goodies to freeze. My favorites? Amy Cake and Blondies. I still love the almond cookies but…. SO WORTH THE TRIP! So worth the price gluten free, dairy free, kosher. A HUGE part of my AMAZING experience at the bakery was the fabulous help SHYANA was THE BEST. She was extremely helpful, friendly, kind, patient with my questions and indecisiveness. Although we had placed an advance order, being in the shop with all these edible beauties was overwhelming we bought more while there. It took years for us to get there but we already plan to go back within a couple of weeks. The entire experience of the BY THE WAY Bakery is over the top from their adorable shop, cute packaging, lovely to look at and delicious to eat baked goods, and top staff Shyana. Many, many thanks!
