"This week, I decided to explore some of New York's classic restaurants. To be honest, I can't recall if I've eaten here in the 40 years it's been around—maybe I visited in the '80s, but those details are a bit hazy. The place is still lively and buzzing with energy. The staff is beautiful and stylishly dressed. Our waitress was especially charming! The cocktails were fantastic, and most of the food was quite good. I particularly recommend the Dorade (which I loved), the eggplant, the fluke, and the spicy beef salad. The spring rolls were decent. However, I would have preferred the spicy shrimp to be spicier and less sweet. I was pleasantly surprised by the kale salad, which I usually don't like, but this one was tasty. The summer rolls were okay, while the ribs were a tad dry. The lemon tart had a lovely, crisp crust, but the curd was a bit loose and overly sweet. Our friend, who brought us to the restaurant, mentioned that it’s usually much better—it’s his favorite dessert, and he was reluctant to share it. We enjoyed the coffee cake, and the chocolate dessert was good as well. Just a heads up about the noise level: it’s quite loud, and you’ll struggle to hear the people next to you unless you’re practically shouting."
