"Service was bad. It's one man with 100 tasks. The waiter was busy tending the Uber eats orders and phone and left my table at least 3 times while speaking with us.Chapli kebab was burned and salty. We sent it back and it came back just the same way, almost like they rinsed it off with water.Goat Rara was flavorful but a little salty as well.Lamb Rogan Josh was good. "Really tired of how cheap this place is in everything but the prices they charge. Used to order a lot of takeout from here but they've price gouged so much since covid their prices are now just unreasonable. And last several orders they've consistently cheaped out in different ways. Straw that broke the camel's back for me was in my last order, an order of 4 dishes, they for whatever absurd reason insisted on stuffing everything into one single medium sized paper bag. My order would not have fit in said paper bag. Instead of using 2 bags or a bigger bag...they squeezed everything they could inside that bag and left out anything they couldn't fit. For that reason, my order was missing a rice that was supposed to be included with one of the meals, so one of my family members was left with spicy chicken with no rice to cool their tongue off and balance the meal. Also, one of the masala dishes exploded because everything was squeezed in so tight, which left a stain on our doormat we've now had to replace (from the delivery being placed there), and one of my family members only had half a dish we paid full [over]price for. It's crazy to me how they can raise their prices so much and yet do things like this. I mean, you couldn't afford a $0.0001 paper bag?? They've done a lot of other cheap stuff too, but that would make this a much longer review than it already is. I'm done with this place. Never going back."

"We went for restaurant week, where most participating restaurants have a fixed-price 3 course meal where you pick from a few options for each course. Nama on the other hand, gave you a little bit of everything on the menu, which was a nice surprise. There was certainly a lot of food for a reasonable price. The appetizers (a fried cauliflower, tomato cream soup and naan) were all quite tasty. The main courses (a paneer dish, butter chicken and a lentil dish) all were a little bland. They had some spices and flavoring, but not at the intensity we'd expect from an Indian restaurant. I'm not sure if it was jut the restaurant week menu or what, but it's almost like they were catering their dishes to people new to and unfamiliar with Indian cuisine. They didn't ask for a heat level when we ordered, either. The flavors were good, but just felt a little flat and underdeveloped. With ~25% more seasoning I think it could be quite good. I haven't written it off completely yet, but there are several very good Indian places in the city so it wouldn't necessarily be my first pick."

"As usual, we were asked to wait, and we settled into the waiting area. After 30 minutes, I inquired with the woman at the counter and discovered that our name had been crossed off the list. When I asked about it, she was unreasonably rude, claiming she had called us four times, which wasn’t true since we were seated just outside. Instead of offering an apology or seating us when the next opportunity arose, her demeanor was aggressive and dismissive. Perhaps she was having a bad day, but if that’s the case, she shouldn’t be working at the front desk. Once we finally sat down for our lunch, the food was just average, and many of the food stations were empty. There was a noticeable delay in refilling the dishes, and it was particularly challenging to get the dosa and uttapam, as the kitchen seemed overwhelmed. Overall, the kitchen couldn’t keep up with the volume of customers, leading to a disappointing experience. We voiced our concerns to the staff at the front counter regarding the shortage of food, but rather than addressing our complaints or offering assistance, they bluntly acknowledged the slow service and suggested that if we were unhappy, we shouldn't pay for the buffet. Given their popularity and longevity, they should be better equipped to manage the crowd and kitchen efficiently. Ultimately, we left feeling unsatisfied. The food was merely okay, and I can't see myself returning anytime soon. However, as a small consolation, the owner graciously charged us for only one person instead of two on our way out, which was the only redeeming aspect of the visit."

"Unfortunately, we were not so impressed with the food. There are other far better fusion Indian restaurants in East South of Bay Area. For us it is just a good neighborhood restaurant not so excellent to travel from East Bay to this place in the city. The only thing we liked in Bhoga was the masala dosa. I'm sorry! "The restaurant is small but has a fantastic ambiance. It was crowded with large parties, but the owner was kind enough to find us a table. Service was a bit slow due to the rush, but our food came out quickly. We ordered idli for our child, crispy corn chaat as an appetizer, paneer kebabs and veg fried rice for ourselves. We were served Masala papad and chutney to start, both of which were delicious. The idli was good and the chutneys were tasty. The crispy corn chaat was tasty, but had too many onions which overpowered the corn flavor. The paneer kebabs were tasty but a little dry without any dipping sauce. Mint chutney would have been a good accompaniment. The fried rice was excellent, just like in India. The food was scrumptious and delicious. The only issue was the portion sizes - they were small for the price. The paneer kebabs had only 5 pieces for $14.99 and the crispy corn chaat was more like a single serving. Despite this, the taste was worth it and we will definitely return."

"This cafe just opened right after all the Covid shut downs so it is new and we just found it! BOY! Is it a find! Their food is absolutely DELICIOUS!! SOOO SOOO GOOOD! Seriously. I think I could eat their malai (chicken) kebab appetizer almost everyday the meat literally melted in our mouths! The service was really great, too! The owners were super fun. It was my mom's birthday and they were very generous and brought us out a cup of mango lassi to take home with us. They were clearly cleaning sanitizing well. They ask you to sanitize when you come in the door at the cash register. The only thing that made me think twice was that most the staff were not wearing masks. Everyone that came in and out of the restaurant were wearing masks. I figured the staff probably don't go hardly anywhere (running a new business usually takes all your time energy it seems to be a family/friend affair). So, that is the one thing you might need to consider. Otherwise, I LOVE this restaurant!! I will definitely return!"

"Driving back home from Hartford to the Boston area, my wife searched Google for a place to eat off I 84, and Flavors of Nawab was her excellent choice. The reviews were a little overwhelmingly positive, which left us a little suspicious: Did they hire an unscrupulous firm to make up reviews? Turns out, it's just that good.The food and service are top notch. Everything we ordered was a little different from other places, in the way that every family has their own recipes, their own take on classic dishes. But more importantly, everything was delicious.My wife ordered the mutton korma, and we shared the pani puri appetizer, palak paneer, and their home made mint lime drink, all wonderful. Some people might be a little hesitant about the thin sauce that comes with the pani puri: it smells a little sulfurous, but don't be discouraged. It tastes fantastic.The acid from the lime and the cooling from the mint helped with the spiciness, but even without that, the flavors would have kept me digging in. The entrées alone would have earned the 5 star rating, but it all worked so perfectly together.Dessert was something I had never tried: falooda with ice cream. The high quality but straightforward Ice cream with a red syrup was on top of a delicious pudding with, I think, noodles mixed in! Sounds weird to this American, but it was great, and made a nice pairing, different textures, different temperatures, different flavors...And if all this wasn't enough, as we were driving away, they chased us down... my wife had left her purse, and they sprinted across their parking lot to make sure we didn't drive off!We pass this way frequently, driving from the Boston area to points south and west, and I look forward to trying more of their menu.There is no aspect of this place that is anything other that fabulous.TL:DR Eat here. "My boyfriend and I went to Desi Wok for the first time today and we won't be back. I love Indian food but was disappointed with my dish. I got Malai Kofta and asked them to do half malai kofta and half meat balls, which they did not do. The malai kofta balls were alright, but nothing special. The sauce was bland and rice was dry and tasted weird. The naan looked store bought but tasted good. My boyfriend ordered Schezwan chicken with fried rice. The fried rice had a flavor that just tasted off... Not good. The chicken was rubbery and swimming in a bright artifical Halloween blood red sauce that tasted really bland. The cashier was friendly, the food was just kind of bad. We took about three bites and left. It was a waste of $30, but I guess we wouldn't have known if we hadn't tried it."

"We frequent a number of Indian restaurants, but this one in the Castro stands out as the best in the area and one of the top choices in San Francisco in my opinion. Despite being slightly higher in price, it remains reasonably priced by SF standards. The fact that it's not as popular as some other spots in the Castro may be due to its nicer ambiance and elevated price point, but it's worth it. One of the reasons I enjoy this restaurant is that you can always find a table without much hassle. Although I'm hesitant to write a glowing review for fear of it becoming too busy, I believe they deserve the recognition for their excellent service and delicious food. Every visit has been exceptional, with classic Indian dishes cooked to perfection. The samosas and idli have a crispy exterior and a tender interior, while the breads are soft and flaky. The portions are generous, and we always end up overeating and skipping dessert. The service is quick, attentive, and friendly. The bartenders may be new, so be patient and offer constructive feedback if needed. I truly love this restaurant and will definitely return."

"I visited this restaurant this weekend, eager to make the most of the beautiful Saturday. The place was bustling, and I was initially concerned about finding a seat. However, to my delight, a friendly waiter seated me right away. The food was fantastic! I started with an order of samosas that were absolutely delicious. For my main course, I had the chicken shish kebab, and it was a remarkable experience—I loved every bite. I must say, it was a great deal too; I enjoyed a three-course meal for under $20! I was so full that I had to take some leftovers home, and I enjoyed those just as much later on. Overall, I have to give this wonderful restaurant two thumbs up. I really wish my friends had been with me to share in such a lovely day filled with great food and exceptional service from the friendly staff.
