"We frequent a number of Indian restaurants, but this one in the Castro stands out as the best in the area and one of the top choices in San Francisco in my opinion. Despite being slightly higher in price, it remains reasonably priced by SF standards. The fact that it's not as popular as some other spots in the Castro may be due to its nicer ambiance and elevated price point, but it's worth it. One of the reasons I enjoy this restaurant is that you can always find a table without much hassle. Although I'm hesitant to write a glowing review for fear of it becoming too busy, I believe they deserve the recognition for their excellent service and delicious food. Every visit has been exceptional, with classic Indian dishes cooked to perfection. The samosas and idli have a crispy exterior and a tender interior, while the breads are soft and flaky. The portions are generous, and we always end up overeating and skipping dessert. The service is quick, attentive, and friendly. The bartenders may be new, so be patient and offer constructive feedback if needed. I truly love this restaurant and will definitely return."

We came here for a bday dinner and the food was tasty. Friendly service and drinks were good. They gave us a free mango cheesecake as a birthday dessert. Will come back again! The restaurant was clean and pretty chill for a friday night.

The food here is very tasty, but service was slow even though they were not busy and the nan came out well after we had eaten most of our food... even though it's meant to be used to eat the food! Lastly, the portions are somewhat small for the prices. They could be 20% larger.

Dinner at Bhoga was an enjoyable experience. We loved the food and the atmosphere. We opted to dine outdoors and though it got rather noisy at times due to the traffic close by, that didn't take away from the dining experience. We loved the Mustard Prawns, Podi Idli and Pepper Duck. Highly recommended. View menu

We were not very impressed with the food at Bhoga. There are much better fusion Indian restaurants in the East Bay area. It's just an average neighborhood restaurant for us and not worth traveling all the way from the East Bay to the city. The only dish we enjoyed was the masala dosa. We wanted to be honest about our experience, sorry!

I had a very pleasant time at Bhoga with two friends. We opted for outdoor dining and were very comfortable in their well-constructed parklet with a propane heater. Sebastian provided incredible service and made detailed recommendations for a friend with food sensitivities. I had the virgin piña colada lasso, which was a nice twist on a traditional lasso, and lamb biryani with garlic naan. The biryani was well-spiced though the naan could have been more garlicky. The portion sizes were satisfying, priced in keeping with the area, and everyone brought home leftovers. I was pleased to see the in-house prices were a dollar or so less than the online menu.

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
