"We arrived in town late, just after midnight, and were eager for a meal. Luckily, Seven Treasures was conveniently located right across the street. Despite the small size and crowded atmosphere, the service was excellent (the kind of attentive service you often find in elder Asian establishments). The food was full of flavor and arrived quickly. We ordered the dinner for six, which provided more than enough food—probably enough for ten people. We had plenty of leftovers. Overall, this place is definitely better than the overrated Minh's."

"Kings Delivers. If you're looking for family-style dining in a small town, Kings lives up to the hype! The prices are reasonable, the menu offers a great variety, and the desserts are a major draw for many patrons. The food quality is solid, the coffee is fresh, and they’re very accommodating if you want to customize your order. The restaurant does attract a lot of seniors, which isn't surprising given the retirement community nearby, but they bring a nice energy, even if it's a bit loud! Give it a try!"

"We had dinner here at 6:00 on the first Friday of Lent. Party of six and not very many people at all in the restaurant. We did not get a waiter to our table for thirty minutes. Then four of us ordered water as our drink only two of us received the water until the meal showed up at the table. The appetizers came out the same time as the meal so obviously not ideal and all sorts of things cold and messed up. One person never received the baked potato she ordered with her steak. Two of the three steaks extremely tough. Never had this type of issues before at this restaurant. I assume it was a bad night. Manager came over and got a drink for four of the six of us early on when realized what all was going on. Not necessary but appreciate it. However, when waitress finally came back to table never refreshed anyone’s empty glasses and asked how the food was. We very clearly stated look we are not looking for anything and we realize getting the food prepared isn’t your job. But, you need to let the kitchen know this was really not up to par. Just so whoever’s supposed to be keeping an eye on it will know. Our waitress began crying and it was crazy as we did not direct anything at her personally and we did not want anything for free and we tipped we just where disappointed across the board with food and service then to top it off we left feeling horrible for giving an honest opinion. So subpar food and service we paid and tipped to leave feeling bad on top of it. The waitress said she’d been doing this for twenty-five years. I’m certain we are not the first people she has ever heard be disappointed in something. We did not yell, curse or ask for anything to be paid for by anyone other than us. There was no reason for us to have food and service like that and leave feeling bad. We probably will not be visiting this restaurant again anytime soon."

"However, the service left much to be desired and was quite disappointing. When my family arrived, we were simply stared at with no guidance. I had no idea whether to seat ourselves or wait for someone to show us to a table. After proactively asking about whether we should seat ourselves, I started to head toward an open area, only to be abruptly told that it was closed off. Again, how was I supposed to know? The staff seemed understaffed, and the two employees we interacted with appeared to be disengaged and uninterested in providing a good experience."

"My husband and I stopped with our two children on the way home from Butler last week. The service was great (Skylar was our waiter) and the food was wonderful. My 3 1/2 year old daughter left her beloved little pony at the stand where we ate. I called when my daughter realized that she was missing (we were over an hour away at this point, we don't live in the area). Skylar answered the phone and he said they had the pony. They sent their little pony to our address and wouldn't even have money for Porto. We got the pony a few days later and my daughter will be grateful forever! So not only was our service and food great, they were very friendly and generous about the return of my daughters toys! Thank you."

"Food came out quick but by the cooler temperature of the meats, you could tell it had been sitting out quite some time. Burnt ends were ok but many were dry chewy. Got one rib with my two meat plate and it had very little edible meat on it. One of the worst ribs I’ve had anywhere dry chewy with little meat and mostly fat and bone. Paid over $18 for a handful of burnt ends, one dry chewy rib, 2 sides (coleslaw and bbq baked beans) and a slice of Texas toast. The sides were the only thing decent. Service consisted of a waitress dropping off the food and a different counter person coming by and asking how the food was just before I left. Couldn’t even get anyone to refill my drink for me. Gave it 2 stars for the slaw and beans, otherwise would have been one star. Way overpriced for the poor quality and small portions that you get. I won’t be back."

"What has happened to the RailHead service/waitstaff team. My family and I have routinely gone to the Railhead the last 10 years and always have had excellent service. Approximately 3 months ago we stopped in for dinner on a weeknight, sat on the patio likeusual and was never greeted by any of the wait staff as they passed by. Keep in mind they were not busy. After 10 plus minuteswe simply got up and left and just chalked it up to maybe a off night. Fast forward to last night and the same thing happenedagain. The sad part was they were not even busy like they usually are on a Saturday, but this time someone did yell as they werewalking by they would be with us and never showed back up. After another 5 or minutes we walked out and went down the street andhad the absolutely best service I ever had. Please management get your service back to how it use to be, we love the food! "Wednesday and Thursday Doug offers bbq chicken and ribs. I had the chicken with potato salad and his awesome jambalaya plus an added sausage link. The sausage was juicy and smoky cooked perfectly. I've been trying to find a decent bbq restaurant in Jefferson, Jasper and Hardin counties for the past 30+ years but had given up. I was stunned to find perfect bbq chicken at Doug Nelson's. Finally someone who knows how to bbq chicken that is moist and not over cooked with a great smoky taste and nice bbq sauce too. And the potato salad was homemade just like I like it. Not the bulk store bought tasteless weird salad everyone else serve. Trust me. You will be just as pleased as I was and the ladies there serving are awesome, too!! Great service!!"

"Worst wings I have ever had and it was embarrassing because I went to the one on Barton and they were the best... these wings seemed like they sat out forever. . So dry... we ordered 25 and choked down less than half. The side salad came out all brown edged lettuce w a wedge of tomato... for 76 bux I ate a basket of decent cornbread. The server was nice.
