"Went last night horrible service.Took forever to take our order. People who came in after us (about 5 mins) had order taking before us. Never brought our waters we ordered.Food as brought at a decent time, however my bowl of ramen was missing a item. When asked about it they said they no longer serve it. But there menu still states it is suppose to come with it. They gave me the longest speech that did not make any sense. I didn't eat my soup and told them they can take it off my bill. They should to cross off items that come in soup that they know longer put in soup, so customers will know what they will not be getting but still paying for. Will not return. To my surprise the palmdale location is the same owner. Been to palmdale restaurant many times and what you see is what you get. From picture to what's written, service is always outstanding at palmdale location and food is outstanding. Owner really needs to evaluate the lancaster location. And upgrade the menus, outstanding misleading info."

"My husband and I ordered a few from here. We explained that we were vegan and we could order some dishes. We ordered vegetable fried rice, vegetable spring rolls, spicy garlic chili oil tofu, scallion pancakes, cabbage tofu soup and signature spicy fried rice. The vegetable fried rice had no taste, very pale, mushy and had only broccoli in it. Where was the rest of the vegetables? Also not like the signed fried rice – tasted like tons of ginger. Vegetable spring rolls were ok, and cabbage soup very bland. The only thing we liked was the Spicy Garlic Chili Oil Tofu and the Scallion Pancake, but not good enough to go back. It is also quite expensive here. The quarter of vegetable fried rice alone was $13 and contained only one vegetable. Wanted to like this place, it is very close to home, but just ended disappointed."

"I didn't have high expectations when I came to this restaurant, but I wanted to try it out because we don't have anything like it where I'm from. We stumbled upon it on a beautiful day and decided to give it a try. We visited on a Saturday around 1pm and it wasn't too crowded, but people started coming in gradually after we were seated. The server was friendly and explained how to order food using the screen, as well as how to get their attention if we needed anything else. We ordered a variety of sashimi and nigiri and each piece was excellent. There wasn't a single piece that we didn't enjoy. We ordered salmon, bluefin tuna, sea urchin, scallops, and various other sushi and each piece exceeded our expectations. There was no fishy taste at all. We may have ordered a lot, but we couldn't get enough of it! I definitely recommend trying this place if you're in the area. I hope your experience is as great as ours was! We liked that we could just enjoy our food without being interrupted by servers constantly checking on us. The restaurant was a bit noisy, but it didn't bother us at all."

"So my company provides month end close lunches for our staff. Working hard having yummy food is of a huge matter to me. After we did some yelp digging we found Yasai! This mom pop shop does not disappoint. There is such variety that could accommodate pretty much anyone those with vegetarian or dietary restrictions. Just earlier this month we called in for a special order for a colleague cuz her order was pretty strict Yasai was able to make it! Teriyaki tofu plate w/ no rice salad dressing on the side. She said it was delish! We couldn't be more happier to give them any business they can get. We have ordered lunch from them twice now with 15 20 orders each time. What makes it convenient for us was that we were able to place the order online ahead of time! In the comment of each order we placed my colleague's name any notes needed. We did call Yasai to inform them of a huge order coming through for what day to please make sure each order has a name on it. They were very accommodating! They have gotten every order right nothing was missed. My colleagues were very happy with their food selection. They claim the beef chicken were tender well seasoned. Some said additional sauces isn't even needed. All was fresh tasting too. I truly do love how their plates comes with veggie skewers too! What I have had so far was all very yummy! "I feel terrible for giving them one star. But, honestly this place shouldn't be in business. The staff were all attentive and kind. However, the food part of the experience was TERRIBLE. The fish was very cheap and didn't seem fresh. I didn't eat my lunch. My boyfriend threw most of his away, too. Everything was put into TONS of plastic and styrofoam even though we were dining there to eat. They didn't have containers of soy sauce. Only small packets that were very cheap/unhealthy ingredients. Even the spring rolls and pot stickers weren't great. The tap water didn't taste fresh. Unfortunately, I would HIGHLY recommend against dining here. :"

"I'm generally not a big fan of teriyaki, so I won't say much about that. However, your sushi is quite good and reasonably priced for lunch. I really enjoy the miso soup here—it’s better than what I've had at other places—and I look forward to trying your other soups when the weather cools down. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant is clean and well-kept."

"I should preface each of my comments in this review with '... for the price.' The food was decent, considering the price. The selection was average, considering the price. You get the idea. The rice wasn't the best, and the buffet was quite basic, but you won't find better Asian food for a lower price in the university area. Additionally, you won't leave Bento's feeling hungry as the portions are generous, and the buffet offers unlimited servings. If the prices were any higher, I would give it three stars, but it truly is a good deal for less than ten dollars per person. The staff has always been attentive, and I've enjoyed spending time with friends at the sushi bar. My girlfriend is more selective about Asian cuisine, but Bento is a good option if you're not seeking a fancy dining experience."

"Fantastic neighborhood Japanese BYOB. For the sushi and rice lovers (not noodles unless in soup), they have SO MUCH to pick from and all amazing. The dinner bento boxes are fantastic for takeout (you get a little bit of everything). In the restaurant, I cannot recommend enough the spicy pork bibimbap. Imagine a blazing hot stone bowl with rice, vegetables, pork, that continues to cook and get crispy while you eat it. AH-MAZING.Other recommendations- pork gyoza (fantastic), triple spicy double, tuna, roll, island, roll, Medusa roll. Great flavor, creative, and large in size.The staff is always wonderful and so friendly, and if you do want something to drink, there is a beer store next-door (it is overpriced, but it is convenient)."

"We visited the restaurant tonight and ordered a chicken teriyaki plate and a salmon plate. Even though we live just 3 minutes away, when we sat down to eat, the chicken was ice-cold, as if it had just come out of the refrigerator. It wasn't even slightly warm; it was cold and dry. The only items that were warm were the rice and soup. The salmon dinner, however, was warm and palatable. Overall, we were quite disappointed and have decided not to return. It's unfortunate because this used to be a great spot with quality meals nearby."
