Yasai - Menu

i've been coming here since i was in college in 2015. the staff have always been friendly and fast. the chef in the back has been the same man all these years and seeing him and his friendly smile peak out from the window when i go in, has really made some of my bad days better! 10/5 stars :

The Teriyaki Bowl was incredibly disappointing. For $11.00, I expected more than just a salad with a side of rice and some meat. Half of the bowl was made up of salad! The Ramen also didn't live up to expectations—you're charged extra for any sauces, which is unusual because most places include at least one for free. Overall, I'm really disappointed and won't be returning.

OMG the ramen is soooo good! I've always liked them but the new management with new menu items has leveled them up. Yasai ramen is the only one I've tried and the broth and everything makes me want to try them all. Popcorn chicken and potstickers are fried perfectly with good crunch. So I would like to say that the Ramen was phenomenal, the customer service was great! The chicken teriyaki bowl, my girlfriend absolutely loved it and she is a big fan of those. I would like to share for the owner as a positive feedback or criticism that you should prioritize your customers rather than making the orders as your priority, or as a priority. I understand that you’re in the front alone but maybe just putting your customers first as a priority

We enjoy visiting this place after catching a movie. It's a small, unpretentious spot, but the ramen and sushi rolls are absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the black ramen, white ramen, and the spicy yasai ramen. They also serve sushi rolls accompanied by a flavorful side salad. You place your order and pick up your food at the counter. The drink selection is limited to bottled beverages that you can grab from the fridge. Overall, I rate the food a perfect 5 out of 5!

Portion size is important! Under the previous ownership and before the pandemic, the California roll combo came with a generous serving of sumi salad and miso soup. Now, as you can see in the picture, the salad comes in a tiny container with maybe three bites worth, and there's no soup included at all. If you want soup, it costs an additional $1.85, and even then, the portion is smaller than it used to be! It feels rather greedy. I might only come back if I'm really in need. View menu

I'd give it a lower rating but yelp only has 1 star as the lowest. Service is non existent. Literally. You order at the counter and you pick it up at said counter. And they take a very long time. It doesn't help that their health rating I'd a C. Once the food got here, at least the ramen was not made well. The soup was too hot. In Japan, soup is never served that hot because it ruins the noodles. In addition, it was way too greasy. Will not come here again. You should avoid it.

I highly recommend stopping by this restaurant! The ramen is warm and hearty, while the sushi is fresh, and the baked options are delicious too. Dining in offers the best experience, with quick service from friendly staff who create a welcoming atmosphere. The place is clean and has nice music playing, adding to the ambiance. The appetizers are definitely worth trying, and they also have mochi for dessert. I love visiting here—it's my favorite spot for a lunch of ramen bowls, especially the Yasai Ramen!

We visited the restaurant tonight and ordered a chicken teriyaki plate and a salmon plate. Even though we live just 3 minutes away, when we sat down to eat, the chicken was ice-cold, as if it had just come out of the refrigerator. It wasn't even slightly warm; it was cold and dry. The only items that were warm were the rice and soup. The salmon dinner, however, was warm and palatable. Overall, we were quite disappointed and have decided not to return. It's unfortunate because this used to be a great spot with quality meals nearby. View menu
