"Every experience I 've had with THIS Amy 's location in particular has been nothing short of stellar. I live not too far from here and much like many other overworked/underpaid adults my age eat way too much ice cream. Therefore, I can assure you my critique is well founded. The ice cream is nothing short of 5 stars. As far as the customer service and the personnel goes also 5 stars. I scrolled through some other (negative) reviews and even though we 're all entitled to our opinions, I 'm entitled to say that they don 't know what they 're talking about! Without being too revealing, I once stopped in LITERALLY 1 minute before closing time to get ice cream for my girlfriend who was having a particularly rough time of the month . I was fully expecting to be met with (justifiable) disdain by the employees who 'd already almost finished closing shop, but it was a calculated decision... Anyways, the girls working couldn 't have been nicer. We shared pleasant convo while they scooped my ice cream and I went on my way. These were teenage girls, by the way. I 'm much older and have spent years working in the service industry and even I wouldve been disgruntled with a visit THAT late. Today, I went in with a different request. I asked if I could hang a flyer for a fundraiser I 'm running for a friend. I didn 't have to tell them what it was for (my brother who has terminal brain cancer). Not only did they say yes, but I was given a prime location to hang the flyer. As cliche as it sounds, I now go to Amy 's for more than just the ice cream. I go because I know I can expect to be met with cool people with big smiles."

"I always find this spot to be pretty ok when I walk in and even better after buying the ice cream. The inside could be updated a tad but who am I kidding, no one really cares about that part. The ice cream is the real star. They currently have vegan flavors like banana pudding that are coconut based so that's something new, I think. I would steer away from raspberry lemon sorbet as it just doesn't come together well in terms of its texture which was quite crumbly today. I loved the tangy taste of it which was different than other places nearby where the sorbet tastes like a tablespoon of sugar. The service is also probably the must friendly and fun here. Our ice cream scooper even did some tricks, throwing and catching the scoops with their cups. Fun place that definitely worth a visit !"

"Took my family here for a Labor Day desert after a hot day at the pool, and it was absolutely filthy as soon as we walked in. I figured, hey, it's labor day I'm sure they've been slammed all day, so not a huge deal. I needed to to use the restroom while the others decided what they want, absolutely atrocious! 100% disgusting. If the front and the restroom look like this I can only imagine what the areas the public doesn't see look like. No ice cream for us and I will not return. The health department need to do an impromptu inspection! Do better Amy's Ice cream"

"Ordered our wedding cake, picked it up Thursday. Now mind you our wedding was Friday. It was the ugly cake winner....not finished at all, no piping just raw unfinished. I asked the owner if she was sure if it was for us she said definitely that was standard for their cakes. I was so hurt embarrassed to have to serve such a ugly cake, the top tier was even leaning. I asked if this was some kind of joke because we are two men who have been together 42 years decided it was time to get married. Hopefully by reading this someone else will not go through what we experienced"

"After a stroll in McKinney State Park, we stopped by a nearby restaurant to grab some ice cream. There were plenty of flavors to choose from, and the staff member who assisted us was extremely friendly - she even suggested some unique flavors and gave us ice cream for our dogs free of charge. While the service was excellent, I felt the prices were a bit high for the portion size. We only tried two flavors, which unfortunately didn't leave a lasting impression. Additionally, I'm not sure if it's related, but I wanted to mention that after using my credit card at the restaurant, it was used fraudulently elsewhere shortly after. I hadn't used that card in over a year, except for at the restaurant. Overall, the ice cream/shake didn't stand out to me, so I'm unsure if I would return."

"Tonight I finally visited this local ice cream shop and I must say, I had an amazing experience! From the moment I walked up to the window, I was greeted by a friendly staff member named Zorina who immediately made me feel welcome. She was incredibly knowledgeable about all of the flavors and toppings available and gave me some fantastic recommendations.I ended up trying a flavor combination that Zorina suggested and it was absolutely delicious. The ice cream was creamy, rich and had the perfect balance of sweetness. The folded in toppings were fresh and added the perfect amount of crunch and texture.The atmosphere of the shop was also electric. Definitely wanted to sit out on south congress and order a second cone.Overall, I would highly recommend this ice cream shop to anyone looking for a delicious and enjoyable dessert experience. The staff, especially Zorina, went above and beyond to make my visit memorable and I can't wait to go back and try more of their amazing flavors!"

"Awesome spot for killer local ice cream! They have tons of cool flavors that they rotate, many of them themed such as Harry Potter, everything from pepper or pickle to mocha Guinness. They also have some alcohol-infused ice cream at times. You can always ask for a sample, too, just to make sure you're making the right investment, and the staff is always kind. The ice cream itself is fantastic. It's incredibly thick and smooth ice cream made here in Austin. As with some other locations, there's a Phil's attached if you're craving dinner and dessert."

"Edit: look at your other reviews for my same topic. You have several people complaining about the policing of the lobby. Serve the ice cream and make revenue or just shut down -I wish they had a 50/50 selection for reviews. The ice cream was great, a couple of employees were not so great.I get its still Covid. Everyone has their own pace for returning to normal. At this store, we arrived and walked in. We have a party of 10. The front of our line started ordering when two loud mouth employees started yelling at everyone to obey the sign on the door. I didn't see a sign. For the next several minutes they both took turns directing the guests. I finally reminded them that they were adults talking to adults and didn't need to shout. If something needs to be corrected, come out and fix it. It was a power trip, bossing others around was more important than dishing ice cream.If they were taking orders and not worrying about the traffic, they would have served everyone faster and cleared the store out. To enhance the visual, before we were able to pay, my ice cream was melting. If this was my location, I'd be furious."
