"Every experience I 've had with THIS Amy 's location in particular has been nothing short of stellar. I live not too far from here and much like many other overworked/underpaid adults my age eat way too much ice cream. Therefore, I can assure you my critique is well founded. The ice cream is nothing short of 5 stars. As far as the customer service and the personnel goes also 5 stars. I scrolled through some other (negative) reviews and even though we 're all entitled to our opinions, I 'm entitled to say that they don 't know what they 're talking about! Without being too revealing, I once stopped in LITERALLY 1 minute before closing time to get ice cream for my girlfriend who was having a particularly rough time of the month . I was fully expecting to be met with (justifiable) disdain by the employees who 'd already almost finished closing shop, but it was a calculated decision... Anyways, the girls working couldn 't have been nicer. We shared pleasant convo while they scooped my ice cream and I went on my way. These were teenage girls, by the way. I 'm much older and have spent years working in the service industry and even I wouldve been disgruntled with a visit THAT late. Today, I went in with a different request. I asked if I could hang a flyer for a fundraiser I 'm running for a friend. I didn 't have to tell them what it was for (my brother who has terminal brain cancer). Not only did they say yes, but I was given a prime location to hang the flyer. As cliche as it sounds, I now go to Amy 's for more than just the ice cream. I go because I know I can expect to be met with cool people with big smiles."

The oat milk vegan ice cream topped with hot fudge and Oreos is absolutely amazing! I’d give it a 12 out of 10!

The ice cream here is excellent! If you're visiting Austin, you definitely need to try it, especially since it's where it all began.

The restaurant was unclean and in disrepair. It seems like they rarely mop or sweep the floors. It was nearly empty during my visit, and despite having two employees working, the place still felt uninviting and unpleasant.

I arrived before closing time, but the restaurant was already closed. If you’re not going to remain open until the stated hours, please update your closing time. It would save me a trip and allow me to find another place to eat. View menu

Another one of these companies that apparently knows more about covid than the CDC. High school kids working here behind a plexiglass wall but still requiring masks. I’ll take my business elsewhere. 240 cases of covid in Austin right now, .0000104 of the population. Use your brain.

I have always been a fan of Amy's ice cream having grown up in Austin. Their Mexican Vanilla ice cream cannot be beat. It's just that good. I'm a simple girl when it comes to ice cream and this last visit I had ordered a root beer float. They included the perfect amount of ice cream in the float and gave me the whole bottle of root beer so I could pour my own refills. Would definitely recommend!

I have to express my frustration with the Westlake Amy’s. During my last two visits, I arrived just before closing time—once with 13 minutes to spare and another time with 20 minutes left—and both times the doors were locked and the lights were off. Seriously? Do they really think it’s acceptable to close up shop before the official closing time listed on the window? If they prefer to shut early, they should update their hours. This experience has been disappointing, and I’ve decided to give up on the Westlake location. It’s worth the extra 6-minute drive to the 6th Street location, where they actually honor their posted hours. View menu

Absolutely awful customer service. The employees were unbelievably rude and took their precious time making my extremely simple order. I bought a chocolate ice cream cone and had to wait for over 20 minutes while they continuously made online orders their priority. While paying, the employee at the counter asked loudly if I wanted to tip and when I said no, she rudely told me to go wait on the other side of the establishment. To add, the rest of my party had multiple mistakes in their orders. One was given a completely different flavor and another was missing an add on that was previously paid for. Finally, after the never ending wait I received my order, and there was a hair in it. Overall,...

Have a serious problem and it's the Mexican Vanilla Ice Cream from Amy's. Hands down, my all time favorite ice cream treat (obviously excluding gelato, which is a whole separate category of it's own! I always try a few of their season flavors and while they're always delicious, absolutely nothing beats the Mexican Vanilla flavor with gummy bears and I always turn back to my favorite! Additionally, I love their quote challenge as I feel super accomplished when I get it correct AND it means the gummy bears are free from my order! The pricing can be a bit on the high end, but I find that it's worth it, especially when I order a pint or more and take it home to enjoy. All in all, Amy's Ice Cream...

"I literally just made a review but I’m going to make another one because for whatever reason someone or somehow it got deleted. I used to be a regular at Bouldin and the service was always amazing but my last two visits have been by far horrible. The service has been so poor that I felt disgusted when leaving the restaurant. There are two girls that work there with light brown hair and blue eyes. Pretty sure one of their names is Rego. My boyfriend and I were served by her before and she seemed nothing but annoyed and couldn’t care less if we were in her section. Barley even interacted with us or asked how our meal was and just seemed disgusted by us, just being rude passive aggressive for no reason at all. I’m a server and I KNOW this isn’t how you treat your guests and the same thing happened tonight. She just seemed like she couldn’t care less if we were there and just seemed annoyed? I don’t mind paying the gratuity if I’m being treated decently but that wasn’t the case and I feel as though they feel like they think they can get away with behaving like mean girls just because there’s a gratuity. I have friends that dine here as well and they have had the same experience. I’m not one to write reviews but I feel this needs to come across a managers attention so they know who they are hiring and how they are treating customers. Really disgusted and disappointing and if this gets deleted again I’ll write another review or just call the store to speak to a manager. Disgusted by their behavior."
