"What a terrific find! We were craving pollo asado. So happy Tropicos Breeze popped up in our search and was within our area. Don't let the location comments deter you from trying this gem of a restaurant. It was very colorful and clean. Even the plates were a variety of fun colors. The service was excellent. A very friendly lady greeted us and made us feel very welcome. The server was a very attentive young man who was mature beyond his age. We made an Open Table reservation and did not have a problem. When was the last time you were served piping hot chips? You will get them here! Salsa. guac and pico de gallo (my favorite) were so fresh even at The tomatoes tasted like tomatoes not bland like so many places serve. We ate everything on the plate. The pollo asado was delicious and true to what asado should be. The citrusy marinade was light and full of flavor. It was a pounded thin breast that was soft and delicious. A lightly dressed salad provided a refreshing balance to the plate. Rice was moist, fluffy and unique with some nice herbs and diced veggies. Beans were not heavy with added fat. Did I say fresh at Everything was freshly bought and prepared. You can taste it immediately. I'm sure nothing sits around the kitchen for long. Portions seriously very generous. With the orders, we had enough left over to make burritos for lunches the next day. We made them right at the table and asked for some foil to wrap them. We could have made if we didn't eat so much. You could share the entrees but then you wouldn't have leftovers! I was visiting from the Southwest so I've had plenty of Mexican, Central and South American cuisine. Tropicos Breeze will be on my go to list for every Seattle trip now"

"Went with family for my aunt’s birthday. No one was at the host station to seat us and when someone did come it was one of the waiters. After a few minutes we got the salsa and chips. However, as we are waiting there was constant singing. I don’t mindlive entertainment but it seemed like the band was playing to almost every table. Fifteen to 20 more minutes pass by and thewaiter comes by to get our drinks. When the drinks finally come, only two come because the iced tea is “freshly brewed”.Both drinks are watered down. As the waiter takes our order we feel a sense of being rushed? And forget about asking anyquestions pertaining to the dish you want, it won’t really be answered. We eventually decided to walk out after waiting foranother twenty minutes(the place was NOT packed at all and the other drinks STILL had not come out yet. As we are about to walkaway the waiter states our food is “almost done” “it’s already done” and we ask for it to go. He clearly packs it uphurriedly so we can pay and go. DO NOT PAY WITH CARD! We read that they like to dip in and take tip amounts off your card whenthey feel like it. Anyways, my mother’s food was cold (how when you claimed it was just made? fried calamari shouldn’t becold… the food didn’t smell right from the bag, the beans looked terrible and cold. We won’t be coming here again. Just goto Cast Iron down the way!!"

"Saw that this place has 4.5 starts so decided to give it a try. Stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday a little bit past 12pm. The first thing to note if you're going to stop in here is that the parking lot is in the back. And there is plenty of parking. There is a door around the back, but you can also go to the front entrance on Pulaski. There wasn't many people when I arrived(5 in total including me). I walked to the front of the restaurants and let the front desk staff know that I was there and I wastold to have a seat anywhere I'd like. One of the things that caught my eye was the gorgeous painting of the Aztec calendar. The colors are so vibrant! I sat in myself and the woman at the front desk introduced herself as Kathy and proceeded to provideme with a menu, utensils and water. She was very pleasant and shared with me that they were short staffed and that she wanted toapologize in advance. I ordered the chilaquiles with salsa verde and carne asada on the side. When my order arrived, I wasshocked at how big the plate was. The carne asada was cooked to my liking (medium well) and so were my eggs (medium well). Thechilaquiles were GREAT. I don't like it when chilaquiles are soggy and these were NOT they had a crunch to them, which Ireally enjoyed. I want a fan of the rice, but I have to note that it wasn't horrible either. The beans were good andcomplimented the meal. Overall, I had a good meal and the service was GREAT. Kathy was very attentive and she sanitized theother two tables after they left. I highly recommend this place. I'll be back with my family."
