"It was good the first couple times I tried it. I got food from them and ate some one day and the rest the next day. I found a clump of hair in my rice on day 2 and called right away. No refund was offered and I didn't want the food remade because it could happen again. She argued back and forth with me on the phone about how i waited until the next day. But how would I have known there was hair to call about if I didn't find it the next day? DISGUSTING...will never order from there again"

"I’m really pleased that I chose to order from City Taste. The delivery was quick, and the food was absolutely delicious. The sweet and sour chicken was perfectly baked—light and fluffy—just like the rice. The sauce was fantastic; everything was spot on! This place is not your average greasy joint; it’s definitely a five-star restaurant in my book. I’m going to order from here again. Even the fortune cookies were fresh (if you order Chinese often, you know what I mean). It’s definitely worth it. City Taste!"

"We were having an early Mother’s Day celebration on a busy Saturday night but with a reservation we were seated immediately. Our waiter, Nick, was excellent and took great care of us all evening. The food was great but now that I am affected, I have to say comparatively speaking they have the best GF menu I have seen with numerous items that aren’t just salads with few ingredients or instructions to “leave the bread off”! I had spinach artichoke dip with celery, a wonderful guacamole burger, a side of garlic grilled vegetables that was worthy of special mention for superb flavor and even a GF Pazookie—cannot tell you what a difference it made in the experience. My entire family enjoyed their meal and portions were generous ."

"I like to preface this by saying we really like to support small businesses especially family run businesses. With that said the foid here just isn't good. We have tried this place 3 times trying to give them the benefit of the doubt as everyone has an off night. The Orange chicken is dry and tastes of grease. No flavor in what little sauce was in the container. The egg rolls were abysmally small lacking substance. The egg foo young really didn't taste like anything. The gravy was bland, no seasoning on the egg. The fried rice was ok but that was just average."

"This is a few weeks overdue. We spent my fiances birthday in the area and had dinner here. We both run seperate restaurants, and are rarely wowed and always have a critical eye and palate. Absolutely, positively every thing that came to our table, was outstanding. Wine list, the bread, the amuses...was exceptional. They took oysters to a new level. The venison tar tar was beyond expectation. The entrees (I had the lamb, I can't even remember what he had because I was so obsessed with mine...and he equally loved his) set the stage of a higher echelon to hold our discerning tongues to. The dessert and cheese board were phenomenal. There is such an incredibly fine line of truly creating food into art, and that means excelling far beyond a pretty presentation and great flavor as Seperate entities. They can afford to be as bold as they are creatively, because they do not miss a beat. If you are thinking about going here, stop, you're wasting time. Or, if you are truly passionate about food the way we are, you will walk out thinking it would be an honor to learn under this chef. Our utmost respect to every person that displayed unrivaled talent on our plates that night, our server who was warm steadfast and diligent, even the young man who served us bread with unparalleled enthusiasm. "Overall, we had a fantastic visit to celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary. Our server was exceptional—very friendly and always greeted us with a smile at our table. The food was, once again, outstanding, and we feel fortunate to have such a gem in Battle Creek. The only downside was that our table wasn’t ready when we arrived, which was surprising since we had made a reservation. When we were finally seated, I had to request that our table be dried off as it was still wet from cleaning. Additionally, we were seated near the entrance, so it was a bit chilly with people coming in and out by the hostess desk. Despite these minor issues, we had a lovely evening and will certainly return."

"Don 't go here for dinner. We went on a Thursday evening and it was empty. Nevertheless, it took the bartender FOREVER to make 5 cocktails: 2 Cosmos, 2 vodka sodas, and a wine. The lone server on duty excused the wait, by saying we do CRAFT cocktails. Horsepucky. These were easily mixed drinks that any busy bar could whip out in an instant no muddling, infusing, or hocus pocus required. We then tried to order food. Oh, we 're out of that and Oh, that 's no longer on the menu was the refrain. Well, I 'm reading it, so it 's on the menu (which is dated less than a week ago). Maybe it 's craft food, too. We decided to cut our losses, pay for the drinks, and split. Then the server discloses that she is the manager and is comping our drinks so we don 't have a bad experience. Too late. And the manager is the only server? This place must be fixing to go sneakers up. We left a good tip for the bad bartender and got out of there fast."

"The waiter was good and the food was not exceptionally unique. It was surprising to see how beautiful the restaurant was. However, I must admit that the cash register seemed to have some issues with handling transactions smoothly. The waiter was very friendly with a European customer before us, taking his time and being jovial and extremely hospitable. Unfortunately, when it was our turn, there was a lack of attention to our table. We were not asked about our meal or thanked for our business. We were not even told the total amount due, the waiter simply took our payment with no acknowledgment or expression of gratitude. In contrast, the European customer behind us received a warmer reception, with the waiter engaging in friendly conversation, asking about his meal and offering additional items for purchase. There was a noticeable difference in treatment between us and the other customer."

"The delivery service is consistently slow. If they manage to get something delivered within an hour, that's considered a win. However, tonight it took an hour and twenty minutes. On top of that, they charge a $2.00 delivery fee for this so-called service. It’s not just about delivery, either. Recently, my wife called in for two subs and some potato skins half an hour before picking them up, only to wait an additional 25 minutes once she arrived. The food itself is typical pizza house fare—it's hit or miss. You can never count on having a great meal there; it's just enough to keep you from going hungry. The only reason we continue to order from this place is because the other options in the area aren’t much better."

"We were very disappointed. We had high expectations from the online reviews, where this was supposed to be a great 'locals' restaurant. The restaurant itself had great curb appeal, and the bar was fun to sit at before being seated at our table. But the hostess was rude to my husband when we arrived, our waiter was unprofessional and rushed us to place our order, my filet was so undercooked it arrived purple, and the mashed potatoes that were served with it tasted like they were 'instant'. We would definitely not return"

The employees were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and the service was unbelievably fast. Both our orders were ready before we even finished paying.As far as the food, it was good but not exceptional. Agree with other reviews that say the bbq sauce was unimpressive. Mac and cheese is most likely boxed, pretty flavorless. Stuffed baked potato was good, but it could be great with an improved sauce thicker, more flavorful, etc. I would come back here for the lovely staff before I crave their food again."

"This charming little restaurant offers a burst of flavor in a relaxed setting. I visited for dinner on a Wednesday evening; although there were several occupied tables, I was seated right away. I ordered the Bife de Chorizo (NY steak), which was cooked to perfection—well-seasoned and incredibly tender. The fettuccine Alfredo was some of the best pasta I've ever tasted, featuring fresh homemade noodles and a wonderfully creamy buttery sauce. The empanadas were tasty, and the chimichurri sauce was quite good. However, I was a bit let down by the dinner salad; it was just a basic mix of lettuce with a few grape tomatoes. While the creamy Italian dressing was spot on, I would have appreciated a wider variety of vegetables and some hand-torn greens. The food presentation felt a bit outdated. Nonetheless, with delicious steak and pasta, plus friendly service, I would definitely consider making this place a regular haunt."

"I’ve ordered twice through Grubhub and both times the food was delivered ahead of schedule, fresh and piping hot. The egg drop soup and hot and sour soup (spicy were both tasty. Shrimp egg foo young was loaded with shrimp and deliciously filling with steamed rice and topped with the brown gravy. The shrimp with vegetables had a nice blend of broccoli, carrots, snow peas, water chestnuts and baby corn, all covered in a brown sauce. Nice to have a good Chinese takeout place nearby!"

"We had a larger group dining experience at Blue Fork. Rating for myself, my meal was hot, fresh, and great tasting. The portion size was just right. I had the Blue Fork Burger with modifications; portobello mushroom instead of burger, and no bleu cheese crumbles, with a Maui side salad. All modifications were swapped perfectly. We had one server, serving the 11 of us and she kept our drinks full, as well as provided new chilled glasses for some of the cans of beer. She kept an upbeat and happy attitude and served us very well. I had a blackberry mimosa, which could have used a little more blackberry in it, but overall, I was happy with my drink. I was too full to try a dessert or after dinner dessert drink, but the choices looked amazing. The music was not too loud, the plants added to the atmosphere and ambiance and the smells coming from the kitchen were amazing. I have been to Blue Fork in the past, and this was by far, the best visit yet."

"My work mates and I went to Townhouse Diner for lunch today and boy was I surprised! I normally avoid diners like a plague, usually cheap ingredients, bad oils, and generally not good food. This place is great!! I ordered the Nacho platter which was Delicious and huge! My work mates got burgers, salads and some appetizers, they all complimented the food and we're impressed. The prices are great as well. Service was friendly, helpful, attentive, and quick. When I'm working out of North White Plains I'll be back. If you are anywhere near Metro-North NWP yard, it's worth the little extra hike past the normal delis, almost same prices and better food and selection."

"Best dinner of the year! AND we eat out every night, so saying this was the best dinner this year... that's saying something. Came here last night for a date night. We have been a few times previously. My wife wanted the surf and turf for two. So, that's what we ordered. At $60 it seemed like a bargain. It featured ribeye steak, crab cake, cauliflower, green beans, rainbow carrots and garlic mashed potatoes. It was served with sides of remoulade, bearnaise and demiglaze. First off nothing was pedestrian about this plate of food. I have no idea what kind of green beans they were. They were long, flat and wide. Kind of like a Lima beans in its shell, but tender and sweet. There was cauliflower that had bright white tops but green stems. Never seen that before. Carrots were rainbow colors. The steak was seasoned perfectly, maybe had even been brined. Tender to the point I didn't need a knife. The star of the show was the demiglaze. Literally the best I have ever had. So good that I asked the chef if he made it himself. I was disappointed to find out the answer was yes. I was hoping it was something that I could procure from some specialty shop. But no. Only a chef with extreme pride in the craft would go to all the effort to make a demiglaze like that. That same pride echoed throughout the plate. The mashed potatoes as included. Not too rich or fat laddened, yet full of flavor and a perfect accompaniment to the veggies and the steak. We ended up having an apple crisp for dessert. It came straight from the oven with a big scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream. It gilded the lily. Everything was amazing. And, I got a small amount of demiglaze to go. In the end, I found the specialty shop I was looking for. ?"

"HORRIBLE horrible horrible. First of all let me say that I have been a customer for the last five years. The food and atmosphere used to be so wonderful but the last year or two has been mediocre at best. The food quality has gone down, the quality of the dining experience is low (with dirty tables everywhere, dirty dishes, an absolutely horrific bathroom, and staff that look like they don't want to be there)... but tonight is the straw that broke the camels back.... I ordered a dish on DoorDash and thought that I had added a request in the notes section. I had not, which was totally my fault but I called to see if they could accommodate my request anyway. I was meant on the phone with just about the rudest most low class woman I've ever spoken to in a professional setting... I was in the process of telling her what happened and she kept cutting me off to argue and yell. I was so confused as to why she was angry so I told her that I didn't call her to argue and that I needed her to just hear what I was saying so that she could understand the full scope of my question. She put me on hold quickly and then put a manager on the phone who mimicked her same nasty attitude and horrible disposition. It was so disappointing that I called back to speak with the manager again and told him that I didn't appreciate the nastiness and that they had lost a customer... He said absolutely nothing as if it didn't even matter. Well I hope it doesn't because I will NEVER GO TO OR ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!!! The idea that you think it's appropriate to yell at people or be nasty because of a simple question is ridiculous...these times are hard and people are hurting and if I wanna treat myself and my family to a night out to dinner I don't wanna have to argue through your mediocre food in your nasty staff to do it. there are too many great restaurants in Chicago with wonderful customer service to deal with them..."
