"Service was terrible, server didn’t know anything about the food. She was nice enough, but far from knowledgeable. Another employee kept wanting to clear our plates, so we finally handed them to her with mouths full of food and forks in our hands. That was a bit annoying. Wine list is way overrated and WAY overpriced. It definitely seems like a “wannabe” restaurant. Everything is totally overrated. Food was actually good, but that was the only positive about our experience. Server said they didn’t have potatoes, but somehow my scallops came out with potatoes on the plate. Confused me even more. Glad I didn’t pay the for the venison that I really wanted to try. I would have ordered it if our server knew how it was prepared and what it came with. Everything about this place other than how the food tasted, was annoying and a complete letdown"

"The Salt Creek Grille is a lovely restaurant, tucked away on the west side of the Monarch Bay Plaza but still easy to find. The décor has an elegant craftsman style to it with both indoor and outdoor seating. My wife and I went on a Saturday a little after 4:00 p.m. We were seated right away even though we did not have a reservation. Our server was very friendly and helpful since we haven?t been to this place many times. We started with a Huckleberry Lemonade which was very refreshing and not too strong. Next, we ordered the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, and the prawns were very large with the bacon having some chew to it. The honey chipotle sauce that came with it added a bit of tangy sweetness to the salty bacon and the bit of spicy horseradish that was stuffed into the shrimp. We also had the Caesar Over Mesquite, which is a wedge of grilled romaine with asiago. The sweet, smoky taste of the mesquite carries through on every bite and it is a unique dish I highly recommend. For the main course we had the Coffee-Encrusted NY cooked medium rare that came with seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes. The steak was just delicious. The coffee crust added an extra taste of bitter, combined with slightly creamy, sourness of blue cheese. The seasonal vegetables were not overcooked but didn?t really add much to the plate. The only weak player on the plate was the mashed potatoes, which were dense and a little dry, with no mentionable flavor on its own. Next time, I may need to ask for a little gravy on the side. Last item was desert, which we had the Blueberry Cheesecake with a reduced seasonal fruit glaze. It was light for a cheesecake but sweet and enjoyable. Overall, this was a very nice meal and I hope to return soon."

"Now, moving on to our food ordering experience. With two separate tables, we ended up with two different waiters. However, even having two waiters resulted in delayed orders, duplicate dishes, and some items simply not arriving at all. I understand it was a busy Saturday, but things kept going wrong. One of my guests waited an entire hour for their meal only to be told that the kitchen had run out of meat. There seemed to be a significant communication breakdown between the kitchen and the staff. I will say that one of the managers was very apologetic and tried to make amends by offering a discount and a complimentary drink. A discount sounded nice, right? Well, not quite… By the end of our reservation, we were all just eager to leave. To expedite things, we decided to split the bill evenly. The following morning, as I reviewed the bill, I realized we had been double charged for several drinks. It’s unclear how the two waiter/two table system was supposed to work, but it clearly fell short. Additionally, for the menu items that were mistakenly brought out twice (due to server error), we were told those would be removed from our bill, but they weren’t. So, even though we received a discount due to the chaos, we actually ended up paying more. I think from now on, I’ll stick to visiting Tabu with just one other person, and definitely not with a large group."

"For my main course, I opted for the braised short rib, which was tender but disappointingly bland. I was really hoping for more flavor, so I can only rate it a 2 out of 5. For dessert, we had the crème brûlée, which tasted good but was a bit too thick and lacked a properly caramelized top, so I’d give it a 3 out of 5. We also tried the cheesecake, but it had an unpleasant fridge-like flavor, as if it had been stored improperly, resulting in a rating of 2 out of 5. On the bright side, the cocktails were fantastic and definitely stood out as the best part of the evening, along with the chicken wings. The staff was attentive and friendly, which made for an enjoyable experience overall. I would consider returning for the appetizers and drinks."

"We found Caya restaurant from a Google and Yelp search. The description of the meat dishes made the decision a certainty. We had a hard time choosing because there were so many delicious sounding choices. We ordered the Burnt Ends brisket appetizer, as well as the spinach and smoked artichoke dip. Both were outstanding; we loved the nice amount or fat on the brisket so the meat wasn't dry. The horseradish sauce was excellent. We then shared the 10 oz burger with carmel bacon. Probably the best burger we've eaten in years. The tomato aoli and arugula really put it over the top. What a find!!!"

"Wonderful wonderful wonderful!! From the welcoming atmosphere, to the service, to the delicious food. We were travelling from Canada and knew we had to come here before leaving. My aunt remembered this place from years ago when she last visited Detroit (8 years ago) and it did not disappoint last time or this time. The food was very flavourful, you can tell it was made with care and true passion. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed like family by the employees and customers! They were personable and enjoyable individuals. Their menu has a wonderful variety so there will for sure be something on there for you! The portion sizes definitely give you a bang for your buck! I will forever rave about Royal BBQ Pizza! "We live about 15 minutes away however had never been to this restaurant so thought we 'd give it a try. When we arrived for our 7 pm (Saturday) reservation there were only 2 other tables of people in the restaurant. As someone in restaurant manager this worried me a little bit since most really good restaurants would be very busy at that time. We decided to start with the charcuterie board to gauge whether we would stay for dinner. The board was a little slow coming out but it was beautiful and full of really great cheeses, meats, dips, olives, crackers, etc. We snacked on that for a few minutes but realized it was more my thing than my husbands so it became my meal. He decided to order the haddock and said it was the best haddock he has ever had at a restaurant. The food was all really good so I 'm still a bit confused as to why this place isn 't busy and can only chalk it up to location and maybe people just not knowing it exists. We will definitely go back again."

"BABA is a hidden gem located in the heart of Clarendon, Arlington. This cozy speakeasy is perfect for brunch or a date night. Their brunch buffet, priced at $29.99 with unlimited drinks for $0.25 each, is a steal and my go-to spot in the area. The ambiance is intimate and quirky, making it ideal for a more mature vibe. The staff is consistently friendly, and the food is top-notch, with everything made in the same kitchen as its sister restaurant, Ambar. I was initially hesitant about the menu, but after trying it, I became obsessed. The Tres Leches dessert is a must-try. Although BABA is currently closed due to COVID, they plan to reopen soon. I can't wait to visit again and experience their unique charm in a different setting. Highly recommend checking out this underrated spot in Arlington."

"We’ve walked by this place a few times and wanted to give it a try. I grew up in the south and miss the food sooo much. With that being said, I think they missed the mark. I know it’s supposed to be a twist on southern food but we didn’t really enjoy any of it. We ordered cornbread for my son and it was stale, seemed like it was old and had just been heated up. Was not fresh. Sent it back immediately. Ended up getting the guacamole which I thought was expensive for the portion you get $15 (see photo) The Cajun Mac n cheese would have been ok but it was salty. The nachos were nachos. The dirty rice wasn’t really dirty rice. It was ok though. The drinks, server and bartender were great. For the price I expected the quality of food to be better. Mostly disappointed in the cornbread."

"not sure why reservations are needed as it seems like large “family style” tables. Maybe it was just a slow night. eating was very good, they order at the bar, then they bring it to them. typical BBQ food, ripening, brisket was delicious. side (mac n cheese, maisbrot were ok, not great. salat was not very fresh. place was very cold drafts, but I would look for them casual good bbq meat then this is the place!"

"We hit the Rusty Nail during our annual CM trip at least once. The food is great, freshly prepared ingredients breakfast, lunch and dinner. The atmosphere is second to none (especially outside. It’s conveniently located to where we stay but that might not help most. Like with most places, especially in peak CM season, the service has suffered dramatically due to staffing shortages. Definitely make reservations ahead of time as they easily sell out and walk ins frequently get turned away at peak times. We still go because all the other restaurants have the same issue…and because we love the place and are trying to support them. Looking forward to this Summer ‘22!!"

"I must say I was a little let down overall. When I made my reservations online. I was asked if it was a special occasion. I indicated yes, celebrating our 48th Anniversary and requested a quite table. Neither were ever acknowledged. Not sure, why you would ask these questions when making your reservation and them not even acknowledge it. It would have been nice if our server brought us a complimentary dessert to celebrate this milestone. I also ordered a side of spinach and although the menu indicated $2.00 I was charged $4.00. I did not bring this up but if your menu prices are incorrect they should be updated."

"We were greeted promptly. When seated the hostess explained that they were in the process of changing out their menu so she only had 1 available for our party of 4 to look at. It took 10 minutes for our server to approach us. The restaurant only had 4 other tables of people dining at 6:15 pm. The two different glasses of wine that we ordered tasted stale (red wine tastes like vinegar if opened a few days). The Moscow Mule tasted horrible. When the food arrived the rib tips were extremely tough. My husband ordered a loaded sweet potato and they left off the pecans. They did make it right and give him a brand new one. This establishment has really gone downhill from 2 years ago. There is better BBQ in the city."

"This restaurant has been a landmark in Rockaway, Morris County, New Jersey for as long as I can remember. I have fond memories of coming here with my parents when I was growing up in Rockaway. The food is consistently delicious and the people are always friendly. I look forward to continuing this tradition with my own children, as I hope they will appreciate and preserve this beloved diner for future generations. A visit to any New Jersey diner isn't complete without trying their delicious dishes, and this diner certainly has some of the best around. They recently renovated the diner, making it even more impressive with added space, and the food has only gotten better over the years. Their burgers are large and juicy, and their homemade cheesecake is a definite must-try. Without a doubt, this is the best diner in the area."

"we had one of the pizza selections as an appetizer and it was very good; I've been very good too. The biggest part I've ever seen is the chat. it can be easily divided; but it comes alone and if they want a side of pasta etc, they must order this separately. the drinks were good as our blessings. my only difference to this place is that the ambiente was more casual than I expected and the noise level is the equivalent of a high school cafeteria. if they are a family with young children, then this is space for them, as their children can make as much noise as they desire, and no one will be the smarter. everything in all it is not a bad place, only not what I expect for a few nights to dinner. great place for families and the 20 a little crowd."
