"My husband and I decided to embark on an adventure today. We discovered Skyway Jack's through Google and wanted to try something both exotic and tasty. My husband ordered pig's brain and eggs, while I went for the steak omelette with added mozzarella cheese. I really enjoyed my omelette; it reminded me a bit of a Philly cheesesteak and was delicious. My husband found the pig's brain a bit tough to eat, but he wanted to give it a try—that’s just like him. The waitstaff were attentive, friendly, sweet, and quick to serve. The restaurant itself has a vintage, old-diner feel that my husband said reminded him of classic New York spots. The meal was very affordable overall."

"We hope our very bad experience was an exception for this well rated place. The service was very slow and the waiters seemed to be either very tired or inebriated. One of the waiter kept pouring regular water in the glasses used for sparkling water, the wine glass we ordered arrived 15min after when we checked for it. The food quality was really bad: undercooked foie gras charged $19, overcooked sea bass charged $26, salmon plate drown in lot of oil and with a plastic taste, bread with mold..."

"Nice little place up on 97 street near Mount Sinai. I was surprise they have a little seating counter inside and table outside. The food looked good and priced not bad. I had to try the Jamaican patties and the best I have had, nice size too and the crust was really flavorful. I will be going back for a good lunch soon . They have a really nice menu and lots of choices to for drinks. It's a nice neighborhood place and the owner seems to be nice. Can't wait to return"

"The most tasteless food I’ve ever eaten! We ordered 2 oxtail plates with Mac and cheese and cabbage. They didn’t have any rice and peas so they gave us white rice. We ordered collard greens but they told us after waiting over 45 minutes that they didn’t have any so they wanted us to pay an extra $3 for Mac and cheese. The oxtail weren’t tender and they tasted like they were cooked in water. The Mac and cheese was like eating textured air (absolutely no taste, not even a pinch of salt), and the cabbage was plain but had more natural flavor than anything on the whole entire plate. They didn’t have air conditioner in the restaurant so it was hot but they did have a fan. We spent over $75. Such a disappointment. Luckily I made oxtail a few days earlier so we took our plates home and used the gravy from mine to give it some flavor but you could tell which oxtail were cooked by me and which weren’t because even with me adding my flavored oxtail and gravy to theirs, once the gravy was gone it was like eating boiled meat with no flavor. The only reason why We went there was because of the reviews. They must have been made by friends and family because they couldn’t be real. We could’ve gone to a really nice restaurant and had a luxury dinner with drinks and flavor for what we paid. I’m not writing this review to bash this business, I’m writing this review so they can tighten up and do better by their customers. Please taste your food before you send it out from now on."

"We arrived at the restaurant around 9 PM, and while there wasn’t a large selection since they close at 10 (that was our mistake for arriving so close to closing time), the food was fresh, tasty, and the portion size was definitely worth the money! I had planned to save some of my meal for the next day, but once I started eating, I couldn't stop until it was all gone! Unfortunately, since I’m on vacation in Florida, this won’t be my new local favorite, but I will definitely be back for another meal before I leave! The service was excellent and the customer service was spot-on. The atmosphere was wonderful, and judging by the number of people coming in to place orders, I could tell this place is one of Florida’s best-kept secrets! Bravo! (Slow clap) Bravo! Parking is plentiful outside the restaurant, and there are bus stops nearby just outside the plaza."

"I noticed the negative reviews about this restaurant, but my experience was quite different. I ordered a full pan of oxtail stew for my Christmas party, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The oxtail was flavorful, well-seasoned, and tender. My guests loved it! The service was exceptional too. I appreciated being able to pick up my order on the same day, even on such short notice. The customer service was top-notch, and the chef personally brought the pan right to my car. A+ all around!"

"When I first started getting the bake and saltfish with pumpkin and okra/shark in 2023, it was fantastic. However, over time, I noticed that the roast bake had become very hard. The portion of bake is so large that it could feed an entire family, but it's extremely dry. When you ask for pumpkin on your bake, you barely get a teaspoon's worth, and they don’t remove the larger bones from the saltfish at all. I had high hopes for this place because their breakfast used to be great. I've even seen customers hesitant to buy the bake lately."

"I often passed by and did not know this was a Creole restaurant until today when I met my granddaughter earlier and she went in and ordered food. She explained to me that they are never stingy with the order. And sure enough the largest order had a large separate plate of rice, and the rest on a nice size packed plate and the smaller ones were packed with food for reasonable prices. "I’m a Caribbean woman I’ve ate from my patty shops than I care to remember and this one was a huge disappointment. I ask for what I want politely. It’s bad enough that you have to wait a long time but then when you get to the counter the customer service person is at the least indifferent and unpleasant. Their attitude is sour. Even though you tell them you can’t here what they are saying they make no effort to be clearer or speak louder. Why would management want someone like that representing their business. In the time I was there I saw people ahead of me leave without getting their order. Golden Krust need to invest in more customer service training to encourage repeat and new word of mouth business for example smile; speak up when the customer says they can’t hear you to make yourself understood, look like you’re awake Can you imagine how more money would be made with well trained staff! Then to make it worse all of the several patties I bought were undercooked. The dough was still soft and doughy. I could not eat any of them. I do not recommend this business"

"Order took over an hour to complete. The delivery driver said the restaurant owner was incredibly rude while trying to collect the food. Oxtail had no seasoning. I bit into a piece that tasted sour. The rice also smelled sour. Fried dumplings were soaking with oil.Usually the terrible service can be made up for with good food. It’s bad all around.And this is the second time I’ve had a terrible experience with them. I wanted to support this local business.They can definitely do better. They choose not to most of the time. Which is crazy given the restaurant name lol. Never again ??"

"I stopped at this restaurant for breakfast before work. The staff was nice and the lady in the back who was cooking even came out to serve me because the lady in the front was already busy with another customer. I ordered ackee salt fish and callaloo with boiled banana and boiled dumpling, along with a side of fried dumpling and fritters. The meal kept me full for the whole day. The callaloo was a bit bland, but everything else was delicious. In my experience, if a Jamaican restaurant in the US serves good breakfast, then everything else will likely be amazing. I highly recommend this place."
