"This review needs a lot of clarification because we love the jazz night Thursday 7-8:30pm. However it is the worst managed affair and hasn’t changed in over a year or more. Our server was nice but whatever process they have to go through to get a drink order filled takes 20-30 minutes. Food takes even longer. When other staff comes with the drinks or food they take it to the wrong table then circle around or put it in front of the wrong guest! This is NOT a rare occurrence. They finally lit all the new cheap table candles with their thread width wicks and they all promptly burned out. One server got new candles for his three tables but the rest of the room got none. We ordered two drinks at once because we know getting second service is rare. For food I ordered their Boudin Blanc listed as Foie Gras, duck breast, parsnip purée and jus. Listed as an appetizer I expected a tiny portion of each item. What it really is, is a white (mostly parsnip) 3” quennelle shaped mousse of the ingredients. I suppose as it’s called a boudin I should have realized that, but I was sitting in the dark. The jazz starts at 7 and lasts 90 minutes. They didn’t start seating last night until 6:55pm (sometimes earlier it’s not consistent). This results in getting your drink 20 minutes or more after the jazz starts and the crazy service dance lasting all the way through the performance. There has to be a better way to handle these nights. You’d at least expect them to have table numbers and seat positions so when the drinks and food come they end up with the right person at the right table. And get quality fake candles, the servers have enough to do. On a positive note the room is lovely and intimate and when Nicole Pesce is playing piano, the jazz is wonderful though the sax was a little louder than usual last night. Also management called when my friend left her credit card so we could return to pick it up. He met us at valet, a professional touch. We keep hoping for improvement."

"From the minute we walking in everything was so perfect from the welcome on the hostes to the food quality. The service and the hospitality experience were amazing. The chef delivered the appetizer plater and explained everything with great knowledge. And everything it was tasting great. The Australian wagyu filet it wad so tender seasoned well and a lot of flavors. The side dishes was exceptional the lobster Macand cheese great flavors and last the cheese cake cream brûlée it is so good finishing the dinner. Thank you everyone for making the dinner so special with your delicious food and great service and excellent hospitality we came back"

"Our experience at this restaurant was overall wonderful. The redfish with crab was exceptional, with the fish cooked perfectly and enough crab for another meal. The scallops were also cooked to perfection. The pistachio-butter cake was delicious. The only downside was the chargrill oyster appetizer, as they were the smallest oysters the reviewer had ever seen. Despite being tasty, they were a disappointment compared to larger oysters from LA. Ben(Jamin) provided outstanding service with great recommendations. This is a high-end restaurant where diners can expect to spend $100-125 per person. The reviewer recommends trying a nice Tempranillo instead of cocktails for a delicious meal. Overall, the reviewer highly recommends this restaurant, with the caveat about the chargrill oysters."

"i’ve been here several times, and I’ve never had a complaint. The food is usually delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful. We went there a few nights ago, we were a party of six w/ a bill of abt $500. One of the members of our party asked for steam fish with ginger and garlic. There must’ve been a miscommunication because she was presented with steam fish with soy sauce, which was literally inedible and super bland. we mentioned this to the waiter he basically said there’s nothing I can do about it. The steamed fish was not inedible it was not eaten. we asked the waiter to please not charge us, but he said that was not possible. we asked to talk to the manager. we were basically told we could not talk to the manager and they could not take this off the bill. This was very disappointing as we have been there, many many times, and I’ve always loved the food It was just shocking and poor poor customer service"

"This is our first time to Myrtle Beach SC- and we did some research on great restaurants to visit- and boy did that pay off- we had an amazing experience at this restaurant- mind you we are foodies from NYC- this was by far one of the best meals we have ever had! We met the chef and owner, the chef’s wife, and our server Shaina was amazing and so gracious- even though we were 20 minutes late for our reservation. She was informative, attentive and just lovely. The whole staff was just so professional- it was a real culinary experience for our little vacation to South Carolina! We will return- that you for a great evening SeaBlue!"

"the food and the atmosphere were wonderful, but the service was incredibly slow. I am not hastened for, but there were very long pauses between the curses and after eating we were sitting in front of us for at least minutes with empty before our server brought our leak. I also ordered coffee with dessert, but we're done halfway away with dessert before our server remembered that she hadn't brought it out. the server was incredibly nice, but just a bit overwhelmed it seems. So I would definitely recommend for eating and ambiente, but the service left something to wish."

"I brought my Mom here for birthday dinner as it looked like a nice place with good vegetarian options. They also take reservations via Yelp, which is always super handy. Right away, I loved the internal ambiance and the high top tables. The place feels like a nice restaurant but also not something overly formal/dressy. The cocktail and wine selections were also great, I especially loved their interesting wintery take on an old fashion that included brandy cherry juice, tea, and Aztec chocolate. As for the food itself, it was yummy! Nothing mind blowing or innovative, but it is well executed American contemporary fare. They nailed the texture on my scallops and my Mom loved the vegetarian chili. The service was the highlight for me, as our waitress was super attentive and fast to bring us more drinks or water. They also gave us a mango sorbet on the house for my Mom's birthday, which is always an appreciated touch. Overall, definitely recommend this spot if you want good local food with a nice ambiance."

"Let's begin with what was good..... the steak, that's where it begins and ends. The atmosphere is old and worn with hideous decorations. The wine was sub par, the Cajun calamari was overcooked and came out so fast it must've been prepared way beforeand then threw in the fryer to warm it. We sent it back. The cream of spinach was like wall paper paste. And worst of all therack of lamb (suppose to be med rare) was med well and had absolutely no flavor. Our waiter was nice enough, but we asked for ataste of wi e and got a full glass. He also seemed to be in a rush all the time, yet the restaurant was almost empty. Thegentlemen from the kitchen who served the food looked miserable. I truly don't understand how they are still in business andgetting good reviews at these prices! Unfortunately, we also sat next to a table of a family with three kids and grandparentswho thought it was a playground."

"If you can not go to Italy. Go to Casa La Luna downtown on Superior. Hospitality is tops. Marita our sever was wonderful. No matter how hectic it got she never got rattled. Food is authentic and wonderful. My wife would go just for the bread and olive oil, and it's free. Everything from apps to dessert is great. We has 2 pastas. Orrechiette Con Rapini and Sacchetti Al Tututo Blanco both were perfection. Extensive and reasonably priced wines. Exceptional Northern Cuisine. One of the finest in America."

"We were disappointed to discover that Passion Fish was no longer serving fried flounder. In all the years we have been regular customers, they have always had it available. I decided to try the crab cake, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. My husband ordered the Bronzino with tamarind sauce and hot chilis, similar to what comes with the fried flounder, and he enjoyed it. Our waitress was friendly, but the service was slow considering the limited number of tables occupied that evening. The fried flounder holds a special place in my heart, so we will definitely return. However, I will call ahead before making a reservation next time to ensure they have the flounder in stock."

"As usual, service was outstanding. Food was definitely below par, especially for the prices attached to them. One guest at our table ordered salmon medium rare, and it was delivered more like medium well. Walleye appeared to be deep fried and not sautéed and held a great deal of excess oil, which was not appetizing, nor aesthetically pleasing to look at when delivered. The restaurant is far too loud, but on a positive note, it was full of fun energy"

"In the past, I had said that the Washington House served one of the 2 most memorable steaks I ever had. No more it was tasteless. Everything was over salted. I had heard that a slug would shrivel if doused with salt. That is what happened to my mouth. Do not order the painkiller cocktail. I do not know how you can screw up a fruit and rum drink, but they managed to do it. I drank it fast just to get rid of it. The only thing they prepared that was digestible was the coffee. The service was fine."

"We are devastated that Ponti is closing. They were obviously short staffed for such a busy Monday, so service was a little slow, but the food was amazing. I suspect that the crowd was trying to soak up the last few days before they close. Our ceasar salad was delicious, and my halibut was perfectly prepared. My husband had the chicken, and it was great too. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about the wine list and pairings, and the pinot gris he recommended was a perfect accompaniment to our meal. I've been driving past Ponti since I was a kid, and I wish we hadn't delayed my first trip there to the week they were closing. Best of luck to the owners, and I hope that this is just one big marketing ploy to drive business and they're really staying open forever PLEASE!"

"This is our "go to" special occasion restaurant. We travel an hour to get there for our celebration year after year. The food is always sensational and the view is incredible when you are sitting at window table. SW did it again for us by giving us a great server Louis, and a wonderful experience. "Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. We had to send our food back twice. After waiting 40 minutes for our main course, we alerted our server, and the food arrived within 5 minutes. However, the burger was undercooked and needed to be returned. When it came back, only one side had been grilled, resulting in a burnt side and the other side barely cooked. It was, without a doubt, the worst burger we have ever had. Additionally, the Caesar salad lacked Caesar dressing and was made with radicchio, making it quite bitter. Our server never returned to check on us; instead, someone else brought our bill. There was no adjustment made for the mistakes, and we ended up leaving after only taking a bite of the burger.
