"Fun decor makes the place stand out. However, the restaurant was clearly short on staff, especially at the bar (15 minutes for our drinks to be served). Our beleaguered waiter apologized several times for the delays. Once they arrived, the special cocktails were very tasty. We cancelled our 2nd round after waiting so long that we finished all our food and were ready to leave before the waiter came by again to apologize. We really enjoyed the hummus with amazing laffa bread , a fresh from the oven plate sized pita with za 'atar. The kabobs were good but not great; served over very plain rice or couscous, with lame grilled vegetables consisting of a barely warmed tomato wedge and onion slice. The kitchen seems to be serving 2 restaurants Pearl is next to Bohemia. If you want Middle Eastern food, go to a La Marsa location for better food, bigger portions and good service. If you want a cocktail bar, there are plenty of those where you might actually get served before you 're ready to leave. Now I know why it was easy to get a reservation there on a Saturday, when every other place in Royal Oak was booked on Open . The word is out."

"Today is my anniversary. My wife Angie wanted to go to M Italian in Chagrin Falls. I tried to talk her into trying Jojo’s, but she was adamant about going to M Italian. Our sitter was late so we had to cancel our reservation and the next time was too late. Angie was bummed. She started being bratty about picking another place. I chose Burntwood Tavern in Chagrin Falls . The thing is, I basically had to pass a Burntwood to go to the one in Chagrin Falls. I wanted the backdrop of the falls, to take a walk with my wife, and to have some drinks at M Bar by the fire pit. As we get to Burntwood and I pull up to valet, the valet seems busy with another car and was ignoring us. I pull back into the lot to see if I can pull into a spot, nothing. I pull back up and stop near valet. “How are you Sir?” Ignores me. Another car pulls up. He gives the car a ticket and drives it in front of me, goes back to valet stand. Now I’m getting out of the car walking to him. “Hello Sir?” He responds “Hey man, I don’t have anymore spots.” I’m almost in shock, hand shaking, getting in my car not knowing what to do. As I’m contemplating how to handle this, the valet tickets another car for parking. My wife says “I think I need to go in and say something.” I agree with her and she goes in. She later comes out with a manager, and is having a conversation. After a while, I get out of my car and join them. The manager asks me and my wife to let him make it up to us by giving us some good food and drinks in the back on the patio (in the back bro…anywhere but in the back smh. I explained to him what happened and told him that I’m no longer comfortable eating there. He assured me that “Sean (I believe that’s his name is one of our best employees on Fridays and Saturdays here at the valet. He treats our customers well.” I told him “Well, Sean seems to have issue with your Black customers.” What was so revealing is that he didn’t question or deny it, he almost nodded in agreement. He almost pleaded to give them a chance and let him show us a good time. I told him that we were leaving because I wouldn’t be able to forget that and I wouldn’t enjoy my anniversary. He told me he wasn’t gonna argue with me. I told him that it was no need to argue because I didn’t want to spend my money or my time at a place that hired people like Sean. I couldn’t accept the buyout. I honestly have never been more humiliated in my life. My biggest issue with the manager was that he never even talked to Sean. It was like he knew it happened and he was just trying to protect him. He didn’t ask Sean if it happened, he didn’t seem shocked by it. When you do that, you’re encouraging it. You can never get my money and neither can any business that you’re affiliated with get my money. I’m not asking anything from anyone reading this. I’m just sharing my experience. I will list the company and the restaurants under it in the comments for your information. This group owns most of the restaurants in downtown Chagrin Falls."

"We had a delightful outdoor dining experience where we savored appetizers, fish sandwiches, and a decadent fudge brownie dessert. The tater tots were outstanding—these were a blend of mashed and shredded potatoes, crafted into a light, crispy tempura-like batter and fried to perfection. They were served with ranch dressing, which complemented them beautifully. The fried calamari was fairly standard, but it had a nice kick from some spicy peppers fried alongside it. The three street-style shrimp tacos were flavorful and made for a satisfying meal on their own. The highlight of our meal was definitely the enormous brownie, generously smothered in warm fudge sauce and topped with vanilla gelato. The prices were reasonable, and the service was friendly, professional, and efficient. I would definitely bring friends and family here for another meal."

"Stopped by the Lyndhurst location on the way home. I've ordered delivery from this location many times and eaten at another location before. We ordered the Calamari as an appetizer which I didn't think would travel well for a delivery dish. It wasdelicious and I maintain that it probably wouldn't be as good delivered 15 minutes later. For an entree I ordered the pecancrusted trout which included a more than generous portion and was perfectly prepared. Again I don't think it would have traveledas well for delivery. My wife had the Tortolini which she said was good but she felt it needed something else. The service wasgood for a Thursday evening and the wait staff were friendly. Definitely worth the visit."

"The staff and management at the Dr Phillips location are incredible. We had a very large group (over 40 people) for a 50th birthday celebration and the GM Nicole, and servers Deb and Lauren did such an amazing job. They made it look easy. The food was great, the restaurant atmosphere was perfect, and the service was remarkable. I'd highly recommend visiting."

"I started with the crab dip, which was overcooked. The chips tasted stale, as if they had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours, just like the crab dip. The spaghetti was served at room temperature, and there were no garlic bread rolls or dip as mentioned on the menu. Instead, we received two freezer rolls that were still cold on the inside, accompanied by wrapped butter that reminded me of cafeteria food. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I haven't heard any positive reviews about this place, but I thought I would give it a shot to see if things had improved. Unfortunately, I do not plan to return."

"Corinne's Concepts in Catering has been know to us for nearly 40 years as an exemplary source for incredible food. We visited Corinne last week in preparation for our planned home entertainment of some close friends, and marveled at the expanded varieties of specialties offered for both hot and cold treats. Corinne guided us through her fabulous menu, as we selected delicious hors d'oeuvres of mini crab cakes, sesame chicken, mini quiches, beef sliders, mini vegetable egg rolls, shrimps and water chestnuts wrapped in bacon that were sweet, tender and crunchy, pigs in blankets, and more. Every dish was prepared to perfection. Every choice left our guests asking for more. Presentation was superb. Our vegetable platter was beautifully designed and our dessert fruit platter could not have been more attractive, tasty or sweet. All in all, Corinne has not lost her touch! We would highly recommend Corinne to plan and deliver on all of your high end catering needs and events. You will not be disappointed and your guests will rave about your food!"

"What an incredible restaurant and venue! We had a small wedding with just 30 guests, and finding a restaurant was perfect for us. As someone who values being by the water, this location was ideal. The service was outstanding; the staff was organized and professional. The food was delicious, and they even created custom menus for our event! They assisted with decorations and were flexible with rearranging the room. The appetizers were excellent, and the presentation was impressive. They provided a microphone and speakers for our announcements and first dances. Plus, we had access to the venue for the entire day without any room charges, which is quite rare. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience on our special night! Thank you so much!"

"As a Danish American, I absolutely love this place! The shrimp toast was incredible, and the toast itself was delightful. Although I typically dislike caviar, I found it divine with its salty and sweet notes. The salmon pate was outstanding as well, and I usually don't care for salmon, but this one was full of flavor. My pork schnitzel was fantastic, while the salad was just okay. The Swedish meatballs were great. I also enjoyed the Danish pancake served with homemade jam—it was divine! And I loved my Danish beer. Thank you!"

"My daughter had a friend come in from overseas who is gluten-free and we received a recommendation for this restaurant for them to have a birthday celebration. As soon as they set down, they were told that they will only be able to pay with American Express or cash something that was not conveyed when the table was booked nor is it mentioned on the website (I ended up having to pay over the phone with my card . For the rest of the meal the service was reasonable but not very friendly, and the food was average (or as my 19-year-old described it Mid! . It definitely wasn't worth the drive to Manhattan and the cost of the parking."

"Went to Burntwood Tavern today for brunch. The food was terrible. It was cold and no frills. They weren’t even busy. Our waitress seemed very nice however she totally forgot to put in our appetizer order and never came back to check on us or see ifwe needed another drink. By the time our long awaited food came out it was delivered by another waiter. Food was below a fastfood chain extremely disappointed. Everything cold. Not sure if the eggs, sausage, flimsy bacon and English muffin would havebeen better had it been hot. The chicken sandwich my son got was plane and not too exciting. French fries cold. Best thing wasthe Chardonnay. Truly disappointed."

"Called in an order for pick up, ordering off the online menu. When I went to pick up and pay, the bill was almost double what the price was online. When I asked if it was a mistake, the girl said “oh no they just didn’t update the prices on the website”. I should have walked out, but I’m not one to make a scene like that. So I just payed and was angry the rest of the night. That is shady business."

"This place was recommended to us by a chef friend who also recommended Senor Bear next door, which we also love! This was our first time here and it was absolutely amazing! From the staff to the food everything was fantastic. We really enjoyed the hummus with the mushroom concerva, this was recommended by our server. It was to die for! I could have eaten plate after plate of it! If you like hummus you’ll love this! I recommend a second pita bread if you’re a lighter dipper. The drinks were all very good. I don’t think you could go wrong with any choice you make there. We got falafel, first time for my partner, it was my least favorite of our dishes, but I’ve never liked it much to begin with. The saganaki was delicious and stingy. We ordered the steak and the flavor was amazing! I don’t even need the accompaniments, just the steak and the sauce! We then followed up our giant meal with the honey cake and the baklava. Honestly, just go with the baklava. They are both good desserts in their own right, but something about the baklava just wraps it up right!!!"

"This was my second time having to send back the Angus burger because it wasn’t cooked as I requested. To make matters worse, the burgers now look like they belong in a McDonald's meal, both in appearance and size, yet they come with a much higher price tag. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this dish! On the positive side, the management and staff were professional. Some people in my group ordered sliders and shrimp tacos, and they felt their meals were quite good. I really think the Angus burger should be taken off the menu. Given my experience, I'd rate Burntwood's food a C+ or B-."
