"We booked a reservation for Thanksgiving Day. We arrived and was seated promptly. Within 10-15 min, we were asked to move to another table as another large party was coming. We obliged and owner said he was going to comp us a drink but realized we're not drinkers. So he said he'll comp us a dessert given the inconvenience to move to another table. Our waitress witness this exchange as she was assisting us in the move. We ordered Linguine and Clams and Seared Pacific Ahi Tuna entree. The linguine and clams had plentiful of clams (you couldn't see the pasta beneath it). We were surprised by this as most restaurants usually serve no more than 6 clams. So this was a nice surprise. Husband ordered this dish and he said he like it although we were expecting a basket of bread to soak up the sauce and never received it but yet the table next to us was served bread immediately. I ordered the seared ahi tuna entree. Usually I would expect a slight crispness from the searing but this didn't have it. It was as though the cook quickly pan fried it a split second and that was it. There was no seasonings to the tuna and it was bland to me. The 3 pieces of bok choy was overcooked (the green leaf was limp). Though the fried rice was good. Then we decided to order dessert. Normally we would order just one and split it but given we were told 1 of the desserts would be comp'd for our inconvenience to move tables, we decided to get one for each of us. Husband ordered the key lime pie and he loved it. I ordered the pumpkin pie given it's the thing to eat on Thanksgiving. It was good. When the bill arrived, we were charged for both desserts. We decided to just pay for it since our waitress was busy tending to the large table that we moved for. As for coming back, not sure if we will. The food was fair. For the price we paid for the food, it was on the high side. We wouldn't have complained about the price if the food was better than fair."

"The place is beautiful. I think there's a lot of potential. But they're cheating. When we came in, the young woman spoke loudly at the desk about being confused, something was not where it had to be, it was all very audible, her distress obviously, and there were customers waiting there for a few minutes to sit. The menu was on non-stacked paper sheets that were not numbered. The two menus they gave us were also not merged. So we were immediately confused. Wait employees didn't know what they did. The food was delivered to the wrong table several times. The courts themselves were met or dismissed. For tapas, the portions were too big and heavy, and there was too much sauce on the dish to rest for food. The sauce, in two cases, felt superfluous, even problematic. It has not added any taste wisely, was even a bit confusing (sometimes that tasted like Hommus was used as bed for Meduros packed in bacon). The portions made no sense for tapas. TS and I usually get 6 tapas for a meal, we were unable to finish what we ordered. For example, we filled Tacos with Jonah-Cab. The tortillas were made from Yucca (delicious but heavy) and each taco had two tortillas. This is necessary for Maistortillas because they can tear. Yucca tortillas are much more robust, and much more filling. It was over. Someone has to take a good look at the river and the menu. We need a good Cuban restaurant, and I hope Gustazo gets her act together."
