"Went on Thanksgiving, so service may have been impacted. Limited menu avaialble. Everything we had was properly prepared, but nothing stood out as being exceptional. Butternut squash soup was tasty as was a wedge salad with lots snd lots of blue cheese. Turkey breast was moist, but appeared to be machine sliced from a cooked breast rather than carved from a whole turkey, Mashed potatoes and stuffing were correct, cranberry sauce seemed like Ocean spray. Pumpkin pie tasted like a commercial pie, bread pudding was moist, but whiskey sauce was under flavored. Overall, this was an enjoyable traditional Turkey dinner in a fine neighborhood place."

"I'm sorry. I like to be positive, especially when it means people's livelihood. My husband and I wanted to see if this would be our new favorite stop for breakfast or lunch. Disappointing. We like the small, quaint business. The restaurant floor is welllaid out for flow of traffic, serving, and clearing tables. Restrooms are clean (big thing for me). The background music ischarmingly mood setting. We were provided seating and beverage, and our order taken in a reasonable amount of time. From thereon it was downhill. It took quite some time to receive our food. Clearly it had been sitting for a while because it was cold. The flavors weren't there bland. Our server was absent much of the time. Our table was cleared while already awaiting thecheck. Waiting another length of time, it didn't show until we finally got up to leave (a lady standing outside the kitchen sawus getting up as a queue and brought it to us). The prices were a little expensive, especially for the food we were served. Iwould like to note that there was one server who was a pleasure to watch in action. He was the most patient, pleasant server andwas always on the floor. No names here, but this young man deserves a raise and could probably turn that place around singlehanded."

"I came very rushed and indecisive of finding a place to eat in the area. Ariele was very polite from the moment I walked in and was able to help me out with menu options. She was knowledgeable about the menu and was able to help me decide what I wanted to eat! This was a huge help especially because I do have a lot of food allergies. Thank you to the restaurant for making my day!"

"Visiting Sugar Cakes is always a delight! The food consistently impresses, and the staff is always welcoming. I tried the Crème Brûlée French toast, which was fantastic, paired with eggs and bacon. Unfortunately, the fruit wasn’t fresh, but I swapped it for potatoes instead. My friend had a veggie omelet with cheese grits, and it was delicious as well. Even though the place was busy, we never felt rushed to leave. I also managed to take a photo of an adorable cake they made. And I can’t forget to mention their butter croissants — they’re absolutely delicious! My daughter loves them. If you're in the area, be sure to stop by!"

"What was once a favorite of mine has fallen to a poorly run, frustrating, terrible cafe experience. The wait for everything is too long. Dining in, we received food so long before our coffee that we had finished before we had drinks. I ordered a cappuccino to go, it came in a large cup which was filled halfway with foam. We left our credit card or, more likely, it wasn't returned to us. We took a 30 minute train ride the next day to retrieve it and found at 10am on a Saturday that the cafe hadn' … – show"

"Alas, La Kitchenette will not be around much longer (closes June 18, 2023 , so if you want some excellent bistro-style French food, go now! La Kitchenette is a charming little place with quirky decoration. Service is good and friendly, and the food is superb. On our most recent visit, we had the French Onion Soup (which we always get when we go there, it is so good! , the Boeuf Bourguignon, and the Chicken Doria. The Boeuf Bourguignon was just what you would expect from a good quality French bistro. The Chicken Doria was a pleasant surprise, too. It's a rich chicken, rice, and bacon casserole topped with melted cheese: magnifique! We're going to miss La Kitchenette, and we sincerely hope they decide to reopen in a new location some day!"

"First time ordering, but for a $30 breakfast they were really stingy with syrup for the pancakes. They had no problem throwing 17 packets of ketchup in the bag for the hash browns (which I didn't ask for). However I specifically asked on the item comments and on the overall order comments for syrup since I don't have any at home. What I got was about a 1 oz container that was half full of syrup enough to cover about 1/2 of 1 pancake. I may as well eat dry toast or a bagel without cream … – show"

"I ordered a starter and three entrées. We waited an hour before just walking out of the restaraunt. The restaraunt had only a hand-full of people in there.Every business in town is short-staffed. Yet I 've never delt with service this slow before.Edit: I was never advised about the wait time, nor any issue with kitchen staffing. I was, however, advised on two separate occassions by two different staff members that they would go check on our food, followed by "it should be out any moment now. "I don 't blame the servers. I blame the poor management style. This is not the first time I 've had to wait 25+ minutes to recieve my food at this restaraunt (the first time I chalked it up to short staffing), and if I 'd known I would be there for over and hour I would have left immediately. If you are too busy to serve in-house customers then you need to discontinue take-out orders for the night. You don 't need to be a genius to know this."

"I ordered the vegan Shawarma Wrap, which includes Impossible ground beef, onions, cabbage, red peppers, hummus, and tahini. It came with a side of Israeli salad made from tomatoes, Persian cucumbers, onions, parsley, olive oil, and lemon juice. The wrap was mild, delicious, and very satisfying. This was the first time two of our guests had tried kosher Israeli food, and they absolutely loved it, even taking their leftovers home. One of our party members was celebrating a birthday. On a whim, our server was able to bring out a beautifully decorated slice of cheesecake and a candle, which was a lovely touch. Additional notes: TOAST CAFE has been operating since 2012. There is a restroom located outside, with access at the back of the building. The establishment is fully ADA compliant, although the free parking lot can be challenging to navigate, especially for those in a wheelchair. Vegetarian options are abundant, with an excellent Middle Eastern menu. The chef is willing to modify recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions whenever possible. Parking is limited to about 10 spaces, and the restaurant is kid-friendly, as the dishes are generally mild. While everything is ADA accessible, keep in mind that the parking lot is situated at the top of a short incline."

"I love this place. I love going there to study and enjoying their nice meals. I love that it’s open late unlike most other places in the valley. Really love it. Employees here are actually friendly unlike the West Hills one. Really hope it stays this way with this location because I’m a happy customer and want to come here with more friends.i would give this a 5 if the food wasn’t so pricey compared to other places."

"amazing place in the gas lamp area! we stumbled on tapas and beer in our first night in san diego. close to our hotel in the gas lamp area. our reservation was technical for outside, but our server found us an inside table (it was cold outside! start to finish it, the service and food/wine were exemplary. hubs had the paella and I had the French burger to start together with some. the mushroom brie toast was amazing how the garlic garnel and sausage. his paella was full of seafood and I said with a full mouth of the French burger, “This is such an amazing burger!!” so well we ate the left part of it to the breakfast! julia had a complete restaurant with tables, everything alone, but still made everyone feel visited and even some layers of the time she lived in France. I would highly recommend any tapas and beer!"

"I was never at a place to get breakfast where, when they forget it on a table, they take the order sitting there for about 20 minutes and when they finally say I can no longer wait I have to go, give me the bill they still calculate for the cup coffee after the wasting of my time, which was empty because nobody goes to fill them again. I hope the $1.95 was worth never returning"

"I just got back from Rize restaurant in Fishers, IN and they absolutely made my day. My husband was just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that has also spread to his liver. I was crying on and off, sharing my grief to my two friends. I felt funny crying and so I mentioned to our waitress what the situation was that made me weepy. When it was time to pay, no bill came to me. The owner and our delightful waitress paid my tab, and let me know they'd be praying for him! I was so grateful for the support and love they sent my way. Bar none, they ensured my respect and love for a lifetime. P.S. And the food is fantastic too! ?"

"Great dinner. Drove from West Orange, NJ and worth the trip. No reservation, but welcome. Dinner was delicious. Order a number of articles, including French onion soup, escargot, mussels and endive salad. All exquisite. Dinner was a delicious and perfectly cooked steak and a crab pasta that was delightful. What a beautiful experience. Kudos to the entire staff."
