"As a Lebanese, I was really looking forward to dining at IVY by the Lake, but unfortunately, the experience fell short of my expectations. The food was disappointing; the tabbouleh was overly dry, and the fattoush was too acidic. A bit more lemon and salt would greatly improve the tabbouleh. We ordered the mixed grill, which included about 12 pieces of chicken and 8 pieces of meat. While the chicken was tender and juicy, the meat, particularly the kabob, was quite tough. On a positive note, the pita bread served with the grill was delicious, rubbed with olive oil and sprinkled with zaatar. Our total came to $87, not including tip, for the mixed grill and fattoush (I had the tabbouleh swapped out due to its inedibility). The ambiance was excellent; I really liked the decor and lighting, and the entrance makes for a great photo opportunity. Overall, I would definitely choose Lebanese Taverna over IVY by the Lake for food, but if you’re just looking for a hookah bar with drinks, IVY by the Lake does have a fantastic vibe for that."
