"I don 't know why I want this place to succeed but I do. We have been there for dinner (only one other table occupied) and more recently for lunch--three other tables occupied). They were out of the house-made pate but were willing to put some duck mousse on the cheese platter which we both tried. Here 's the deal--I don 't know if they charged extra for the addition of the duck mousse but it was the tiniest portion possible unless one is very delicately-fingered! Delicious. I think my guest left a tad bit hungry but I think he would agree that it was probably not the best choice of dish for lunch. I had enough food and the cheeses were fine, etc. Service both times was really good. Dinner a few weeks ago was delicious (cannot recall what we each ordered), but my memory was that I was not engaged with the menu. I do think restaurants have a challenge that way--it is often the 'fit ' and nothing else is to be done. Some places I struggle to settle on just one entree and others I have to struggle to find one that fully appeals. I am feeling a bit whiny writing this, but hope it helps. I wish them well, but I think without me on board."
