"Went here on New Years the food really wasn't not worth the money. The cooks don't know how to cook a steak correctly. I ordered mine medium rare wasn't close more closer to medium well. My wife ordered hers medium and it was well done no pink. The service was good I liked our waitress she was good. The place is in the hotel where we stayed I wouldnt go back if I stayed there again. It is over priced for what you get rather of went to a different restaurants that I know make a good steak even. They are a little more money."

We dined here for Thanksgiving 2015. The food was bland and the main staples were immediately diminished and slow to be replenished.

I really enjoyed the service from Lisa and Mario. Splendid. Also, the pumpkin soup and smoked chicken salad sandwich were right up my alley. Excellent lunch experience. View menu

Chose 720 South based on proximity to The Auditorium Theater. We had a good food and great service, but I was really surprised by the final bill. Maybe it's because it's a hotel restaurant, but I would say there are better choices for the money in the vicinity.

720 is in the downtown Hilton just across from the front desk which makes it very loud and semi conjested at the entrance. The food is just fair in quality but on the expensive side. Service is good. This is not a place to go unless you just want to stay in the hotel.

This was a pleasant surprise and right in the neighborhood. A girlfriend and I was looking for a nice place to have dinner but didn't want to travel far, this place is it. We had a great dinner and a nice bottle of wine too. The prices wasn't bad either. So, if you live in or close to South Loop and want a good dinner stop in the Hilton and give 720 South a try. The service was nice, but inattentive. We even had an uncomfortably long wait at the host stand waiting for someone to acknowledge that we were there. Our waiter was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu, but similarly went missing for long periods of time. The restaurant is fairly open to a bustling lobby, and is therefore a little on the noisy side. Overall, a dependable meal. The short rib pasta was especially good.

So as stated its in a hotel. So no grand entrance or nice architecture of a building. I know some really enjoy the look of a Resteraunt as well as its food. Service was prompt and very helpful. Showed up 20 minutes before my reservation and got seated right away. You will want to sit inside the resteraunt as its quite noisy. They special allowed us to have dinner menu as we showed up at lunch time. Filet mignon was cooked perfectly. Great food.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
