"DON'T be fooled by the cute decor and curb appeal that this restaurant puts out there. I was so excited to try this place out, and I was disappointed within the first 15 minutes. I honestly wish I had just gotten up to leave instead of ordering food. There are sooo many amazing places in Midtown/Wynwood and I wish I had spent my money elsewhere. For starters, I'd give thefood 3 stars, and the service 1 star. The service was HORRIBLY slow. I arrived by myself and was seated immediately. It was aTuesday night around 8:30pm, and there were only 4 tables occupied, 3 of which had only one person seated (myself included). Sothere were MAYBE 10 people in total at the restaurant. All of this considered, I never got water (I eventually asked for itafter 30 minutes) and I sat twiddling my thumbs by myself waiting for the male server to eventually come around and take myorder. He couldn't have cared less about his job or the people waiting for him to come around to their tables. He would standaround chatting with coworkers or just....stand there....consequently delaying bringing out food to the table with a handful ofpeople. I noticed that 4/6 people at the table got their entrees, but the other 2 were left waiting an additional 15 minutesuntil their food came out. Yikes. Not a place for groups, I guess? After finally ordering my appetizer and an entree, it tookforever to get my food out to the table which makes me curious how long it takes for customers to get their food when therestaurant is crowded. My meal finally came, but wayyyyy before the super simple appetizer that I ordered, which eventuallyarrived 15 minutes later. The server never checked if I liked the food (I like the entree, hated the app which is sayingsomething because I rarely come across a food I don't like). I sat and ate my food while the empty tables around me had trashand empty plates sitting on them during the entirety of my time at this restaurant. Talk about a vib"

"First of all, I don't agree with the description of energetic for the noise level. It was more annoyingly loud than energetic. I was expecting something similar to Texas Roadhouse but, felt more like we were at a Hooter's! This was one of the few places we were able to reserve a table at while we were in NYC. We showed up a little early, there were open tables everywhere so we did get in earlier than reserved. However, when we made it down stairs and inside I thought we'd walked through the back door. The hostess was sitting down with someone else and eating her own plate of food. Took her a while to even greet us. Once she raced us to our table we had to wait seven minutes for a server to acknowledge us. There was only one other full table in her area. She wasn't friendly either and still don't know her name. The restaurant doesn't offer a gluten free menu so I had to take a chance and hope I didn't get sick. We ordered the fajitas to share thinking the meat should be prepared safely. When it arrived my first thought was it was the frozen, ready to heat sliced fajita meats. They added so much paprika and seasoning the peppers and onions couldn't be tasted. My side of broccoli came later after I reminded them there was one. The kitchen staff who served that was much friendlier than our waitress. This was just an unfriendly experience and not an establishment I'd recommend while in NYC."

"Driving up to this hotel, you question the good reviews and the photos. It looks like an abandoned apartment building. Very dated. The hotel is clearly in the beginning stages of a remodel. They seem to need the business to help pay for it. The loby was nice and clean and the staff was super nice. Our room #200 for two adults with a king bed had fresh paint. I am assuming newer furniture, but it was pretty beat up. The linens were thin, and bedspread was dated. The carpet was very stained. Have flip flops on hand. The bathroom was painted, and the cabinet and shower title looked newer, but the sink and tub were skipped. The tub was stained. There was a window unit. It kept the room cool. We had a view of the lake and the pool. The lake is not accessible. There is a pool off to the side in a field? Pool access is to walk out the front door, through the parking lot, and across the grass through construction tape. It has weird hours. It looked clean and had chairs but no umbrellas. No shade. The bar is only open early in the week.Behind the hotel they had a firepit with Adirondack chairs that looked nice. No access from the back of the hotel. The gym was across from our room. Basic needs covered. The area is a business park, but if you walk down a quarter mile or so, there is a nice park. Nice neighborhood with many people out enjoy the day walking and jogging. We stayed two nights. No maid service. Not a room to hang out in. Just sleep. This is a one night get in late sleep and get back to the road trip.If you are picky this may not be the hotel for you.Room was clean and safe.No frills and no breakfast."

"This is a new place in Napili, the BBQ pork was excellent with a nice smokey flavor, though called pulled pork it was actually bite size pieces. The chopped brisket is excellent and available as sliders, making for yummy appetizers. The service is good, the portions are more than ample and the sweet potato fries an excellent option. The blue cheese dressing was very watery so not a good option for dipping the fries into, the tarter sauce would be better. The BBQ sauce on the table had a good flavor with just enough bite to be able to enjoy it without having a moment of fire in your mouth. The fish n' chips was cooked in a light tempura style beer batter and was excellent, with fresh local fish of the day. You do need to ask before ordering since the fish varies, the night we were there it was Ono which is more of a steak consistency fish then a soft flaky fish as most people are used to. Reasonable corkage policy and on Tuesday nights all wines on the menu are 1/2 price which is a great deal, if you don't mind a limited selection of wines. The menu isn't big, they focus on beer more than wine. For beer lovers, this is a good place. Don't let the name mislead you, this is a good restaurant and one that is reasonably priced compared to others in the area and give you a lot more. Recommended without any question. Though the night we were there, they weren't that busy at 5:30, reservations might be recommended for later in the evening."
