"Two stars here for pleasant service and extensive beer list. But, not sure there's much else to celebrate. Place seems to be trying to be upscale beer bar and grill. Upscale pricing, but rest of the experience left something to be desired. TVs all over the place with sports, but despite multiple live playoff games in progress, only one of nearly a dozen had a live game, like they turned them on at lunch to NFL and Golf Channel and never thought about them again. Requested a channel, never happened. Beer menu (via QR code) had no prices with anything, left you guessing before an order. Food menu has sandwiches a la carte at $10-$15 without a side. Added a $4 side of grilled zucchini to one order and it had like 8 pieces, which for the price was insane (on its own plate, it also looked small). Had it been included with the entree even at a higher price we probably wouldn't have noticed, but when you price everything separately, you expect the portion to match the expense. And, honestly be a quality that is special. An entree salad came out with different ingredients than listed on the menu, only to be told by staff that it was now prepared a new way. Other items that friends had come for were no longer on the menu. Things change, just not sure they are changing for the better here. All in all, the food was not terrible, just not up to upscale standard. Beer selection is indeed impressive. But, feel like there has to be something else in the area that can be worth this expense and be memorable for more positive reasons."

"Went to Prato with omni friends and was happy to see her offered a separate vegan menu. The ambience was beautiful and our server was friendly and helpful. He seemed quite knowledgeable about which items were vegan and which could appear vegan, but actually contain animal ingredients. Unfortunately, the dishes we ordered were not so great. The vegans ordered the Aloha Burger, Pretzel with Senf, Fries Sampler Basket and the Cauliflower Wings. I also asked about the vegan Greek salad, but the server said that they no longer offer this dish. For the flower wings you have a selection of about 3 vegan sauces, I chose the Mango Habañero. When we received our orders, the cauliflower “Flügel” with the Mango Habañero sauce was only damped on the side. When I asked the server why it was not baked and even showed him the picture published here, he said the dough is not vegan because it contains buttermilk. It wasn't what I expected, so I guess he took it out of the bill and I wasn't charged for it. The Aloha Burger must have been boiled on the same grill, they have cooked some kind of fish because it had a fishy taste. I don't understand most restaurants using vegan options or have a separate cooking area, but the flavors were not pleasant. The Fritten and Brezel were the usual, good and safe options. Our omni friends said their non vegan dishes were just okay. I am grateful for vegan options, but maybe the vegan menu would make for a better culinary experience. "Best Joint in Town. Ignore the complaints you hear about this place, they 're few and far between, and quite likely the product of some ill mannered individuals.<br/ <br/ I 'm a return diner at the Valero and have never been disappointed. All of their food is great, especially their pizza and mannicotti, my top recommendations right there. The service is outstanding and this is definitely a 'Mom and Pop ' kind of place with all the home-felt qualities to go along with it. Some might call it 'hole in the wall ' but I call it quaint. Being a man who is absolutely critical about the service he gets, I 've never had an issue with the place. It 's one of the few places in San Antonio I can walk in, sit down and enjoy a meal without issue while listening to classic jazz and swooner music.<br/ <br/ For those of you who like to go on dates with the girl you just met or even your wife, this is DEFINITELY the place to take them. Some people like flashy things, but I 've yet to see a woman turn her nose up at a nice little Italian place she 's never heard of with great service and an intimate setting at night on the patio when the traffic is low. It has my absolute recommendation and seal of approval, so much that I grab a stack of their carry out and delivery menus each time I leave to hand off to friends and co-workers looking for some good Italian. To top it all off, the prices are on the low end for such an expensive city as San Antonio, and if you call ahead and let them know you 're bringing a date, you 'll see even better service than their already exemplary standard."
