"If I could give 0 stars I would. My husband swore this was a great spot after going here for lunch twice. I?ve been against Steak and Shake since living in Florida where our experience was consistently negative. Decided to try this location, in a new state, expecting differently. We had to wait a little to be helped, which was fine, but heard one employee complaining about the ?amount of shakes? he had to make. We ordered our food and shakes, and waited. Once order was ready, my husband noticed that one of our daughters burgers had cheese, although we requested a plain hamburger and confirmed on the receipt it was correct. They advised the burger would be remade. My daughter waited roughly 7-10 minutes. Her food came out and she took about 2 bites and realized it didn?t taste very well. The burger was NOT remade. They scrapped the cheese off the burger and flipped it upside down, so it wouldn?t be seen. I was furious, but considering everyone working were teenagers, I didn?t want to waste my time complaining and having them possibly contaminate a burger they would be ?remaking? again. After we received our shakes, my husband asked to speak with a manager, and lo and behold, the employee complaining about making shakes, was the manager. He offered to ?remake? the burger but we declined. I?m extremely disappointed in customer service these days, as a refund should have been offered considering the food WE PAID FOR, was incorrectly made and then not truly remade. Needless to say, I will never return to Steak and Shake, no matter where it is located."
