"It is unfair to only give this restaurant 5 stars....this is the only place in Rockland that deserves a 60-minute wait. You will not find food of this quality, service, and price anywhere else unless you board a plane and fly internationally. From freshly made Sangria daily (red and white) to the freshest seafood, meat, and vegetables, this restaurant is truly exceptional. I am ashamed to admit that I only went for breakfast for over 10 years and never tried lunch or dinner until tonight. Shame on me! We are already planning to return tomorrow evening. Our meal tonight included delicious dishes such as black bean soup, Little Neck Clams in a green sauce, filleted Branzini, and the ultimate dish - crispy duck. I am almost 50 years old and I can confidently say that this is the best crispy duck I have ever had in my life. I urge you to visit this restaurant not only to support the talented chefs but also for your own enjoyment. Follow Melvin's recommendations and trust his suggestions, as he is truly a wizard in the kitchen at Estrellas. Melvin greeted us with a smile and provided excellent service throughout our meal. "The restaurant only offers a brunch menu for breakfast, including a Fruit Platter, Entree, and Dessert. We were informed that we could request our burrito to be made vegan, but there were limited options available. We had to substitute black beans and cilantro rice for the Mexican rice, which contains chicken stock. The quality of the food and presentation did not meet our expectations given the price. Overall, I would say that this restaurant is not very vegan-friendly for breakfast. I suggest exploring other options for breakfast."

"I went to Dancing Marlin to celebrate my birthday on 12/27. This was my first visit and it was absolutely extraordinary at all levels. We called at 4:00 to see if we need reservations. Jackie answered the phone and her warm, bubble voice sold us. We came before the restaurant was opened, and Jackie said we should come in. She was gracious and treated us like old friends. Becky was our waitress and she was the best! Very warm, knowledgeable and exceptional service. All from French Martini to Spicy Shrimp, to Crab Stuffed Peppers, to Salmon Tacos was dying. Not to mention the homemade butter Pecan ice cream and brownies. Great. I can't wait to come back and bring my friends. It's worth the 10 miles trip. Birthdays are very special for me and Jackie and Becky were the best! Thanks again for your warmth on a very cold day and delicious food. Next time, Darlene and the My Best Girls Crew!"

"We reserved the party room for my 2 year old’s birthday party and we were so happy with how everything turned out! "I typically avoid leaving negative reviews, as I understand that everyone has different preferences. However, my experience at this restaurant was not enjoyable. It was extremely busy and chaotic on a Saturday night, with servers rushing around and creating a loud atmosphere. It felt like the servers were rushing us to make our selections quickly and did not accommodate any special requests. The food was mediocre at best - the chicken in the chicken parmigiana was so thin that I initially mistook it for eggplant, and it was very dry. The chicken Francese lacked flavor entirely. By the end of the meal, my companion and I found ourselves laughing at how disappointing the overall experience was. We were hoping for a relaxing Italian dinner, but unfortunately, this restaurant did not meet our expectations."

"As usual I’m out and about with my family celebrating my cousin’s 19th birthday and he decided on Grand Lux. Now the first thing that came to my mind was cheesecake with strawberry topping It’s been a minute since I’ve been to GrandLux and I must say we were very disappointed. We waited almost an hour after our “reservation” to be seated and once seated everything went down hill. There were 9 of us as 2 of his classmates who work in the mall decided to join us. Our waiter took about 15 minutes to come introduce himself and still didn’t take our drink or appetizer orders. Finally he comes back and took our drink orders however it took about another 20 minutes to receive them and I had to inquire about my Grand Lux Margarita and other alcoholic beverages we ordered and he stated the bar was backed up. Finally everyone gets the drink they ordered and finally we placed our appetizer orders needless to say they took forever to arrive as well but we’re starving at this point so no one cared enough to complain. Our food orders were placed and keeping up with the pattern it took forever to receive our entrees and when we did the birthday boys order was wrong. At this point I was over it. My salmon was dry, flavorless and the mashed potatoes were cold many of the other guest weren’t pleased with their orders either but why bother complaining it would have taken two hours to reorder and receive our food. My grandson needed to use the bathroom and OMG I was very very shocked at the condition it was in completely unacceptable. Although the restaurant itself was clean and tidy there is no excuse for the bathroom looking the way it did. All in all we had a great time talking and celebrating and our waiter who I promised him would remain nameless states that the issue is they are understaffed and overworked and are in desperate need of more wait staff, kitchen/prep cooks and bartenders. He also stated he’s thankful to have a job but it’s stressful working under those conditions and not every table is as understanding and generous as we were. This chain can surely do better!"

If there was a real concern about me damaging the charger, they could have offered to charge my phone behind the counter themselves. "Excellent experience! Came here today for Father’s Day. We got mild wings, a cheesesteak stromboli, and enchiladas supreme. My dad is from LA and absolutely loves Mexican cuisine, but since moving to PA, there haven’t been too many restaurants that compete with the authenticity of LA’s food. My dad’s face lit up when he took the first bite of his enchiladas; he felt right at home! As a pickier eater, I stuck with the wings, and I was amazed. I’ve eaten wings from many different places around here, but these blew me away. They were bigger and far more filling than average! I only got through five before I was full. The mild sauce was creamier instead of the usual watery sauce you’d get. Personally, I loved it and now prefer it! Service was a little slow, but after eating such fresh food, I understand why. It was worth the wait and I’d do it again. The owner came over to talk to us and he was incredibly sweet. He gave my dad free churros because it was Father’s Day. Highly recommend! We took a menu with us and will be ordering in the future."

"We went with high expectations hoping to find a place as good as Brooklyn’s Llama Inn in Manhattan but came out very disappointed. Maybe they were overwhelmed because of Restaurant Week. We had booked a standard dining table for pm which was not available when we got there. At pm they offered us seats at the high tables. When we pointed out that OpenTable lets you select which type of seating you prefer, first they tried to argue that that was not true and then finally moved us to the dining room.Service in the dining room was mediocre. Our water glasses were not refilled, I finished a cocktail with the appetizer and asked to see the wine list to order wine for the rest of the meal, somebody brought the list and the waiter never came to take the wine order. They never took the list or the empty cocktail glass off the table. The dining room was very full and it looked like there was only one waiter available so he clearly could not keep up.The food was OK not great. We ordered ceviche which was bland and crispy dumplings which were good except that the sauce was salty to the point of being inedible. For entrees we ordered the seafood risotto, which was the best dish of the evening, and the arroz con pato, recommended by the waiter and also quite bland and flavorless.The quinoa brownie desserts were entirely forgettable.So we are back to trekking to Brooklyn for great Peruvian food"

"This is a few weeks overdue. We spent my fiances birthday in the area and had dinner here. We both run seperate restaurants, and are rarely wowed and always have a critical eye and palate. Absolutely, positively every thing that came to our table, was outstanding. Wine list, the bread, the amuses...was exceptional. They took oysters to a new level. The venison tar tar was beyond expectation. The entrees (I had the lamb, I can't even remember what he had because I was so obsessed with mine...and he equally loved his) set the stage of a higher echelon to hold our discerning tongues to. The dessert and cheese board were phenomenal. There is such an incredibly fine line of truly creating food into art, and that means excelling far beyond a pretty presentation and great flavor as Seperate entities. They can afford to be as bold as they are creatively, because they do not miss a beat. If you are thinking about going here, stop, you're wasting time. Or, if you are truly passionate about food the way we are, you will walk out thinking it would be an honor to learn under this chef. "Don 't go here for dinner. We went on a Thursday evening and it was empty. Nevertheless, it took the bartender FOREVER to make 5 cocktails: 2 Cosmos, 2 vodka sodas, and a wine. The lone server on duty excused the wait, by saying we do CRAFT cocktails. Horsepucky. These were easily mixed drinks that any busy bar could whip out in an instant no muddling, infusing, or hocus pocus required. We then tried to order food. Oh, we 're out of that and Oh, that 's no longer on the menu was the refrain. Well, I 'm reading it, so it 's on the menu (which is dated less than a week ago). Maybe it 's craft food, too. We decided to cut our losses, pay for the drinks, and split. Then the server discloses that she is the manager and is comping our drinks so we don 't have a bad experience. Too late. And the manager is the only server? This place must be fixing to go sneakers up. We left a good tip for the bad bartender and got out of there fast."
