"Jax is delicious but pricey. This is a great place to go for a special occasion. The happy hour deals are great! Kid-friendliness: They have a good variety of choices for kids and you can draw on the paper table covering. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50"

"My recommendation is not to go to that place, first of all they wanted to give us a table for 4 because they didn't have a table for 5 and they didn't have a table for 6 either. They didn't have to move us if they didn't have a table available for 5 people. After sitting for more than 10 minutes, they didn't put any water on the table. They wanted us to change to a dirty table and wait for them to clean it. It meant more delay. We told them to move. They took the order, we were ready to order, we had already been waiting for 30 minutes and to a surprise they sent us the person who cleans the table. We took our order and of course everything arrived wrong. At that moment we called the manager and she with It was very sad that he personally brought the order to us, I just hope that the girl who served us at the beginning is removed from that restaurant, bad service due to customer abuse."

"Absolutely terrible Valentine’s Day experience! We got seated in the “patio” area on a cool night, people wearing their coats. A plastic tarp was hanging to shield from the outside. Heat lamps were on but one wasn’t working. Tables were crammed up against each other, literally chair to chair. Ambience a minus ten on a scale of 1 to 10. The food was ok, but overpriced. The restaurateur is either clueless or terribly greedy! Definitely not going back."

"They provide an abundance of sauce on the side, and everything tastes incredibly fresh. The presentation is so neat and beautiful that I’ve never enjoyed a salad without meat like this before. Just imagine how excited I’ll be when I order again! This restaurant has become my new favorite spot. They are truly amazing! I ordered through UberEats, but I can only imagine how fantastic the experience would be in person. I LOVE THEM! The chain locations are consistently professional, provide quick service, and the food is always fresh. They pay attention to order notes, and it feels as though I'm dining right in the restaurant. It was impeccably clean, a true perfection! I am absolutely in love with this place! I will definitely be a lifelong customer. The staff is wonderful, and the food presentation is stunning. I appreciate how their culture and cuisine reflect such brilliance. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience with great service!"

"We went there for my birthday and anniversary. The food was terrible! My wife got the appetizer which consisted of salmon that was supposedly house cured in cognac. It was just plain raw salmon. She sent it back. I got the 8oz prime rib. It came with mashed potatoes and broccoli and cauliflower. The vegetables were way over cooked! They were mushy and no seasoning. The mashed potatoes were glazed over and pasty. The the meat was ok. The manager came over and I showed her the vegetables and potatoes. Her reply was...I like my vegetables like that. WHAT?? Who eats dead vegetables. Then she told us that those vegetables and potatoes were from that morning! WHAT!! This is 8pm.... Left over veggies and potatoes? Now how long does it take to steam fresh vegetables and make fresh potatoes. Very disappointed. Maybe lunch is better since everything is fresh then but dinner sucks. And will not go back. Hopefully their other food is better than this."

"After many years of knowing that this little place was there, we finally decided to give it a try. I was able to get reservations. It’s in a strip mall. They’re very crowded and it’s the kind of place where people stay and hang out and have long conversations, everybody knows each other, which meant that the table turnover was very slow. We did have to wait about half an hour past our reservation time and it was worth it. The food was very good. The people working there were nonstop rushing around. It was hard to get their attention, but they were very efficient. I don’t know if it’s that way every night. Again high energy really good food. It felt like a neighborhood spot and we will definitely be returning."

"My sisters were visiting from out of town and we were going to the magic show at 7. The website stated that you need to plan for an hour and a half for dinner so we made the reservations for 5. Once seated we were greeted multiple times by different wait staff. We got our food and drinks ordered. We expected to get our drinks and have time together before our food arrived. It seemed to take some time to get our drinks and about the time I was going to check on that, all of food arrived. This was not even 10 minutes from our ordering the food. There was a problem at the bar and drinks did finally show up. I talked with the manager about this—especially suspecting that the chimichanga was pre-made and reheated for service. It looked tired. He swore that all food was freshly made. The food was good, the mole' sauce was as good as I get in Mexico. The manager did present a free dessert for the service problems. But not wonderful enough for me to plan a return trip."

"We dined inside for a change, as it was Valentine's day. I reserved with open table for 4 pm for the two of us. At that hour, I could choose pretty much any table. Our experience was excellent, especially for a busy holiday. My husband started with the clam chowder and he loved it. I had the mussels and they were great. Next my husband ordered swordfish and I ordered the Salmon. Both were excellent choices and delicious. Their cut up sweet potato was perfect. Onto dessert which ordinarily we do not do. I got the warm cookie and he the carrot cake, again very good. Cocktails good as well. Our waiter Scotty S. was very pleasant, as busy as he was running from the dining room to the porch. I am sure he was tired but he never showed it. Overall, our experience was great and I would highly recommend trying it. We just don't go often, as for us seniors, we find it pricey. But it is definitely worth treating yourselves once a year. Lunch would not be as expensive, especially if you keep the meal simple. There are salads and flatbreads and even a cheeseburger or make a meal out of the apps. G.S. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"We love this place and always take our out of town guests and go for special occasions, too. Food is always great and service is attentive and fun! The scallops are ridiculously good!! The only thing I 'd suggest is get rid of that birthday cake you give out, all 8 guests disliked it. I think it 's a bread pudding cake, just give your guests a good chocolate cake or something that tastes good. The birthday cake you give is always dry and weird. We always know to order different dessert on our own because that thing is thrown away and never eaten by our guests."

"Casa Nueva is a staple in Athens. With their use of seasonal veggies, their worker-owned business model, and their focus on highlighting music and the arts, few businesses better exemplify the spirit of Athens. If you are hoping to get traditional Mexican food or even Tex Mex from Casa, however, this is not the place. Casa is Mexican-inspired and very heavily influenced by regional garden staples, and farm-fresh and earthy flavors. Together, these ideas amount to a very unique food experience unlike anything I have had before. The food is not my favorite, but many people, especially locals, find Casa to have the best food in Athens. It is also important to note that a visit to Casa often takes longer than a standard restaurant visit. Service can be slow at times, allowing guests to enjoy one another's conversation over dinner...just make sure you give yourself ample time to visit if you are planning to to something after you eat."

"On the other hand, the French fries are fantastic—I would definitely say they’re the best part of my meal. If you enjoy crispy fries, definitely get those. However, I was disappointed with their claim of a one-pound cheesesteak. I ordered the one-pound cheesesteak hoagie, and I encountered a few problems. First, the bread completely fell apart, which is really disappointing because you can’t enjoy a cheesesteak when the bread splits down the middle. Secondly, the promised one pound of meat just wasn’t there. It's advertised as a double meat cheesesteak, but honestly, there was not nearly enough meat; I've had regular cheesesteaks that had more. There was actually more lettuce and onions than there was meat! I would strongly recommend skipping the one-pound cheesesteak, as they don’t deliver on that promise. While the meat was tasty and seasoned well, it wasn’t worth the extra cost. To top it off, they also forgot to put pepperoni on our half plain, half pepperoni pizza, so they just added it after the pizza was cooked. Such a letdown."

"We have had some amazing meals at Peasant and Pear as well as The Little Pear and Prickly Pear. Tonight, however, was a miss. The restaurant was very busy and it took the waitress a long time to come over and acknowledge us. She did finally and then made it over to us to offer us a cocktail. When we said we were ready to order at that point, her attitude completely changed. Her smile disappeared, eye contact was dropped, and she was all business. I over heard her describe the specials to other tables she had, not to us. Another person delivered our meal and my steak was medium well when I asked for it medium rare. She came over once to ask how our meal was and then we never saw her. We considered having dessert and then figured we had had enough so we asked for the check. Our dishes were still on the table when she dropped the check and it was only then she cleared some, not all of them. Never thanked us, just asked twice if we were sure we didn't want dessert. Then, hovered to collect the check when we left. Really disappointed."

"This charming little restaurant offers a burst of flavor in a relaxed setting. I visited for dinner on a Wednesday evening; although there were several occupied tables, I was seated right away. I ordered the Bife de Chorizo (NY steak), which was cooked to perfection—well-seasoned and incredibly tender. The fettuccine Alfredo was some of the best pasta I've ever tasted, featuring fresh homemade noodles and a wonderfully creamy buttery sauce. The empanadas were tasty, and the chimichurri sauce was quite good. However, I was a bit let down by the dinner salad; it was just a basic mix of lettuce with a few grape tomatoes. While the creamy Italian dressing was spot on, I would have appreciated a wider variety of vegetables and some hand-torn greens. The food presentation felt a bit outdated. Nonetheless, with delicious steak and pasta, plus friendly service, I would definitely consider making this place a regular haunt."

"The quality of the bagels has declined over the years. Today, I tried six different types, and they all tasted the same—like Styrofoam. I wish I could say they were great, but the spicy bagels had no spice, and the onion bagels were dry. Whoever is responsible for preparing these bagels for baking needs better training, or the owner should consider investing in higher-quality ingredients. I've been a customer for over ten years, but after this experience, I’ll be looking for another place. Best of luck to this business."

"Visited here for the first time with my husband and his cousin who was visiting NY. It was one of the few places that had available tables on a Friday night and took reservations. When we arrived we had to wait a few minutes for them to clear our table and the entire restaurant was super crowded. They did have glass partitions between tables but considering COVID-19 is airborne, those would do very little in terms of protection. Thankfully, we?re fully vaccinated. Our server was a real gem. She was so sweet and attentive. We had to yell everything across the table because it was sooooo loud! Turning the music down 10% would have made it more comfortable. When the mariachi band played, as fun and enjoyable as it was, the combination of that plus the music raised the noise levels to about 110 decibels. Workers should get their hearing tested. The food was alright. Nothing too special. Tostones were hard as rocks! Shrimp tacos were dry, overcooked, and flavorless. Chicken fajitas were bland. I actually ate the sides that accompanied my husband?s main course and didn?t touch my tacos again after 1 bite. The highlight of the night were the drinks. God damn they make a mean margarita! I tried the Willy?s Panchos margaritas. It was sooo strong but so delicious. This is definitely the place to go if you want great tasting and well-priced cocktails but don?t care too much about getting food. Everyone says the other locations are more spacious, perhaps I?ll try those next time."

"Overall, the food was average. The burgers were large, however, you pay a premium for French fries. I would rather they just inflate the price and make French fries standard. The included item is potato chips. My mom and daughter had the burgers and said they were pretty good. I had the stuffed shrimp, which didn't have a lot of flavor. I could tell I was eating shrimp and crab, but there wasn't much flavor. The portion was four stuffed shrimp. However, the shrimp were of the medium variety that I would buy at my local market. They were ripped with a tablespoon size crab ball. I had to pay a premium for cheese on my potato. This dish was $29, which I was prepared to pay, but was disappointed when it came out. Or meal was $95 (including a 15% tip). I'd also like to add we all had water to drink. I think the bill was a tad too much when two people in my party had a burger. The best part was dining outside right at the water. I drove from central Virginia to dine there, and am not sure if do it again. Just so so."

"EXCELLENT DINER! Don't miss out on the great food and service here. My son had the pictured burger, I had a quesadilla and my wife had a Greek salad. Everything was so good, came to the table amazing fast, and there was plenty for lunch the next day. Brought a slice of chocolate mousse cheesecake home too which was huge and delicious. Can't wait to go back! Was a bit pricey but well worth it. Parking lot gets full at lunchtime but plenty of seats inside. This will be a regular stop from now on. Staff are friendly and helpful."
